It was working perfect, battery is up, re-connected batteries, etc... is there a hidden option . that screw my mouse ? I really need it back for continuing working on .psd
View 2 RepliesFor a while now I've had a recurring problem that I can't figure out. The buttons on my mouse will suddenly stop working; I can move the cursor around the screen, but the mouse buttons (all of them, plus the scrollball) do nothing.
It's not a problem with the mouse (so it might not belong in this forum), because I've tried other mice and had the same behaviour. I don't know if there's a pattern, but I think I've only had the problem since I've started running the new Football Manager 2011 game.
The usb wireless mouse (microsoft wireless mobile mouse 3000) will work perfectly fine until I plug my notebook in.

I'm on a MacBok Pro running OS X 10.6.8 and have Microsoft Office 2004. Suddenly ALL of the Office applications are giving me the error message that the applications have "quit unexpectedly." I get the message literally DOZENS of times, can't reopen the applications, and can't open any of my documents.

I have a PowerMac Dual G4 @ 500mhz that has issue with waking up from sleep. Running Tiger 10.4.11 with a fresh install of it on there. 512mb memory populating all 4 slots. I've verified permission, verified the HDD via disk utility. I've also run MacOSXmemtest that I purchased and that came up clean. I've also reset the PMU. When I wake the computer up from sleep it will usually wake up to a display and then the mouse and keyboard work momentarily (USB MS keyboard and Logitech Mouse) and then I'll get the beachball of death. The mouse and keyboard will then stop responding completely. I have to manually restart the computer but it seems to work great if it doesn't go into sleep.

My wireless Mighty Mouse has stopped working (only on my Windows XP partition). It has worked fine for the last year or so, and today, it wasn't connecting. Not a big deal at first, sometimes I have to turn it off and back on... but then it continued not connecting.
I checked the bluetooth preferences and unpaired and re-paired my mouse several times. It was detecting it from my computer AND pairing, but the mouse is still not working. I've tried updating drivers, reinstalling drivers (which is what took me a LONG time to get the "apple bluetooth radio" back. I didn't realize that that could only be installed by reinstalling the chipset).Ok I just keep going and going. I'm just a *little* frustrated with this whole mess.
I got a free microsoft wireless laser mouse 5000 and os x isnt picking it up. i have the receiver plugged in and nothing will register.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my iPhoto library on a USB drive attached to Time Capsule for some time with no problems. I recently upgraded to iPhoto '09, and still had no problems, so not sure that's related. The library updated ok, and I played with Places and indexed some Faces over more than one session, no problems. Upgraded iPhoto on all the macs and tested their access to the library ok.
Suddenly now, none of the network macs can open the library. iPhoto launches with no pictures visible and has a spinning beechball. I have to Force Quit iPhoto. Same on all macs.
I then copied the library from the networked drive locally to a mac, and iPhoto could then open it perfectly ok. So I guess the library is not corrupt either.
Any ideas why this network setup would suddenly stop working?
I restarted my MBP to install some updates and when I started working on it again I noticed that the trackpad gestures had stopped responding. This has happened to me before but I have no idea why. I know that when I reboot it again, that they will start working again, but it's annoying to restart everytime the gestures stop working.

I may have 2 or 3 Tabs open and decided to open another, example Amazon. I start to look around and 'say' I want to find a CD cover to make a copy of to paste onto something, I find said CD and then all of a sudden nothing works, no hyper links, zero. The only way I can them to work again is to copy the present page I am on, open a new Tab, paste the link in and all works again? But the not the original Tab. Plus if I try the 'ctrl _ T/pad' to open the options you then get (to then copy subject for one) nothing, yet I tried this in Google Chrome just to test and see if that works and it does. As I was even writing this everything suddenly stop, could not even 'highlight' some of the text and copy (cmd + C) .........

Every once in a while the mouse pad will stop working. A wireless mouse will work in its place. The keyboard will also act extremely slow during this time. It seems like the buffer is full and it moves on to the next letter i type without using the previously typed letter.

Sometimes while using computer, the entire keyboard and trackpad suddenly go completely unresponsive and I can't do anything. The only button that works is the power button. It's so annoying because I have to do an emergency shutdown and I hate doing that. Is there any relief?

I recently connected my mighty mouse to the keyboard and changed some settings on the middle mouse button. Later I reconnected my microsoft mouse, and tried to change the settings back. Now, everything works as per usual, but my middle mouse click-drag scroll doesn't work
I can scroll by using the wheel up and down just fine, but if I try to click-drag, nothing happens. Is there any way I can fix this?

NO issues until this morning. Put computer to sleep and it would not boot back up properly (stuck on Apple boot screen and it FINALLY came on after many tries). On my MBP, I have tried both XP and Vista and they work well. I have the Bootcamp 2.1 update installed and no missing hardware/etc. Currently, I'm using Vista64, but XP32 had the same problem.
I pair my Logitech MX900 BT mouse using the BT Control Panel applet and it finds the mouse, pops-up "installing drivers" and everything works well. In the "services" tab for the BT device, it shows a general HID mouse/keyboard.
As the title says - over time it seems the mouse shortcuts stop working (such as mouse 4 or mouse 5) but the keyboard shortcuts continue to work.
Has anyone experienced this? The only fix is restarted... I tried a sudo killall dock but this doesn't fix it.
I have a 27" imac and I've installed windows 7 64-bit using boot camp. Everything works except the wireless keyboard and mouse, which work for about 20 seconds after starting up and then stop. The bluetooth control panel says they're still connected, but they aren't working, so I'm forced to connect an old wired kb/mouse.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to Lion, on a MacMini, and now everytime I use sleep mode, I can't wake my lion up again because key presses or mouse clicks don't work anymore. I can still move the pointer, but OS does not respond anymore to mouse clicks or keyboard. Have to power down, then start up again. Keyboard & mouse then work until the next time the lion sleeps.
This is quite annoying, as I'm an intermittent style of user who relies on sleep mode a lot.
Lion is nice when it works, but it has introduced problems I've never had before. And booting into Lion is way slower than Leopard or Snow Leopard were. At least double the time, or more.
Should mention I'm also using a Logitech denovo wireless keyboard and a Logitech M570 wireless trackball.
Connecting a standard USB keyboard and/or mouse, once the lion has gone to sleep, does not solve anything. The OS still does not respond.

Then I installed snow leopard earlier today and the middle scroll and the multi-touch side to side gestures have stopped working since. I've had my imac for over a year and a half now with no troubles. But, the last couple of weeks my wireless keyboard has not been working. A message pops up saying that the connection has been lost. Then, the wired mouse moves around....but won't select or highlight anything...the 'click' doesn't work. Then all of a sudden everything goes back to normal.
