Does anyone know if Apple plans to create a bluetooth version of the larger keyboard?   I have the small, bluetooth version - but it's too cramped. I'd much prefer the larger one.Â

I have a 3rd party bluetooth keyboard that works fine on m iphone, When I try to connect it to my Mac, the keyboard is discoverable as "Bluetooth Keyboard" where it always fails at the pairing process. "The pairing attempt was unsuccessful. This configuration of Mac OSX and bluetoot software could be invalid or unsupported." The bluetooth on my Mac connects fine to my trackpad. Is there any reason why this shouldnt work on my Mac and is there any way to get it working?

There are a variety of options that can be used when you boot the Mac, such as hold down the C key to boot from a CD/DVD, hold down the option key to choose the boot drive, etc. When you have a BT keyboard, it doesn't connect until it is booted. How do you get the iMac to recognize, say, the Option key?

I loaded a linux iso on a usb. Loaded it on a reboot. It may have been corrupted or something, because it did not load correctly. I rebooted the computer again and now the bluetooth keyboard and mouse will not connect.

My bluetooth wirless keyboard suddenly stopped working. It started with the low battery alert, so I changed the batteries, however after replacing the batteries, it stopped working even though it says connected.

My iMac recently shows a "low battery" warning on the keyboard batteries.Â
The iMac's hard drive had just been fixed by a shop and the OS re-installed. To my surprise I didn't need to do anything to get it to recognize both bluetooth keyboard and mouse - it just worked! Wow.Â
Until yesterday. I took out the keyboard batteries, charged them, and put them back in. Â
Now I get the login prompt where I have to enter a password. The only problem is, I can't enter a password without a keyboard! And it doesn't recognize the keyboard. Â
I tested the keyboard with my MacBook Pro - it works just fine. So I believe that somehow the iMac thinks it's still paired with the keyboard, while the keyboard knows nothing about this. And between those two things it doesn't work.Â
I restarted multiple times, and tried to start from another partition by holding down option - the problem is the iMac doesn't recognize the keyboard at startup either.
My bluetooth used to work perfectly fine. Then one day my keyboard wasn't connected. I changed the batteries. But the Bluetooth icon kept saying that it was not available. I went into my settings and it all looks chinese to me. My keyboard isn't connecting at all.

I've shied away from wireless keyboards in the past because I do alot of online baking and investment activities from my computer. I also love a clean workspace and a wireless keyboard could remove yet another wire from my desk. Do you consider wireless and/or bluetooth keyboards safe?

At one point I reinstalled PS3, but now I have the problem again.I often have problems with large format files in PS3. It was working fine, but after a couple of hours it "unexpectedly quit....". I have relaunched, tossed preferences, etc. When I force quit, the PS3 icon in the dock still shows up with the dot and the Force Quit window shows up with no indication that there is a problem. When I try to reboot many times I have to use the power button on the mac. Finally i got PS3 to open...I opened up a different file and it worked fine, but the large format file tried to open and it came up with "Could not complete your request because of a program error." Photoshop locked up. Do my large file formats get corrupted for some reason?I have a MacPro, Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 2.66 GHZ, 2 processors, and 16G B memory...There should not be a memory problem with this machine. Why do I always have problems with a large format file?

I know this can be accomplished by formatting FAT32, but I need to be able to load 5GB files. This of course eliminates FAT as an option. I know there is a format that works for this, because I used to do these transfers with this very drive (with the manufacturer's format). Up until I had to temporarily reformat the drive for a little project. Now I need to get this USB drive back to a format that works for me.

I know FAT32 wont work because of it's 4gig file limitation and stability issues (file corruption). I could use the more modern and stable NTFS but that would require using something like NTFS-3G or Paragon to allow OSX to recognize it but I'm worried about slower performance going that route. Would using the OSX native HFS+ format give me the performance and large file size usage I need?

My iMac can locate it. And apparently be connected to it. But it's a mystery to me where in my home it is. Some time ago, I decided I wanted my numeric keys back and switched to a wired keyboard. My Apple keyboard has worked fine. Last night I lost my connection for the mouse and the keyboard(not unusual for the mouse). Had to set up both again. Mouse connected easily, keyboard took forever. Bluetooth would recognize it, it was discoverable(blinking green light), batteries strong, but could not make the connection. I did this over and over, finally got it. Tonight, same thing. Lost the mouse and the keyboard. Set them up again and same thing, mouse easy and keyboard still isn';t connected.
