Sometimes, my wireless mouse loses all connectivity and its wiped out from the iMac's paired devices.
So I need to re-pair it but I can't do it easily when my mouse is not working.
So how do I get to the bluetooth menu and then click on "Set up New Device" all with the keyboard?
I've learned to move the mouse arrow with my keypad but how do I access the menu and button directly with keyboard shortcuts?
So I recently purchased the Apple Wireless Pro keyboard, the one with the larger keys and numeric keypad: [URL] It works great and I love it! But, it does not recognize when I hold the "alt/option" upon startup if I wanted to use my bootcamp drive.

I don't know where post this, but I'm getting since yesterday a weird behavior in OS X Snow Leopard.
I don't know if is related to XCode/iPhone SDK or what. Sometimes, with no apparent reason, the menu of the application become FULL white.
Then in the emulator I get distortions in controls (the edit not show characters when input, but the control are getting it).
Also I lost the Command-Z in the xcode editor. Other glitches are around but I don't remember it right now.
I have a white macbook MacBook2,1.
My mouse running out of battery, now i want to select apple menu for shutdown, restart or open any programm with key board, how can I do that?

I ma not sure but almost in all places I read that macbook + sandforce SSDs crash if they go to sleep due to being idle.
Is that the only case or selecting sleep from apple menu will cause the same effect.
I recently bought myself a Macbook Pro 13-inch model and I've been loving it so far. One thing that really bugs me is how bad the menu navigation is in OS X. I just read this on Macrumors and the only way to access menu from keyboard is by using ctrl+F2 key for which I have to press ctrl+fn+f2 key since F2 is a secondary function. Also, there is no way of going directly to the middle of the menu by keyboard shortcuts, right? If that is true, Mac OS X is still not polished enough for laptops. is there are a better way to control the menu items?

I didn't change any settings or install anything new recently and I just want to get it off of there. When clicked the option it gives is grayed-out "Bluetooth: Not Available". Does anyone know how I can get this icon off of there?

My iMac can locate it. And apparently be connected to it. But it's a mystery to me where in my home it is. Some time ago, I decided I wanted my numeric keys back and switched to a wired keyboard. And then I put the BT keyboard... somewhere. Any ideas on how to locate it easily? Can I make it beep? Can I triangulate its location? Anything? What is its range? Could it be as far away as my garage? As close as my attic?

I need an external keyboard and mouse. First I looked to Apple, but the new Bluetooth keyboard is Aluminum to match the new iMacs, which would look rubbish. I don't have a USB keyboard laying around. So I can't get into the system. Does anyone know a way to get the MacPro to open the disk bay and boot off the DVD? We want to buy the bluetooth Apple keyboard, but we are wondering if it's possible to pair 1 keyboard to 2 Macs. Is it as simple as turning bluetooth off on the Mac that's not using the bluetooth keyboard at the time? Or would we have to set up and go through the process of pairing them every time it needs to be connected to the other Mac?
My Apple keyboard has worked fine. Last night I lost my connection for the mouse and the keyboard(not unusual for the mouse). Had to set up both again. Mouse connected easily, keyboard took forever. Bluetooth would recognize it, it was discoverable(blinking green light), batteries strong, but could not make the connection. I did this over and over, finally got it. Tonight, same thing. Lost the mouse and the keyboard. Set them up again and same thing, mouse easy and keyboard still isn';t connected.

I for some reason can't get the MacBook Pro to recognize the Apple Wireless Keyboard I have. I had it paired with an iMac but I've unpaired it since and my MacBook Pro won't find it so I can use it at the login screen. I have bluetooth turned off in my account but hopefully that doesn't carry over into the login screen. Any ideas other than buying a wired USB keyboard just to log in so I can turn on bluetooth? "The pairing attempt was unsuccessful. This configuration of Mac OSX and bluetoot software could be invalid or unsupported." The bluetooth on my Mac connects fine to my trackpad. Is there any reason why this shouldnt work on my Mac and is there any way to get it working?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Macbiff to check my email. I guess you'd say it's a background app; it has no dock icon or cmd-tab icon; it resides solely in the menu bar. To check email, I have to click its menu bar icon and select Check Now from the drop down menu. I have created a keyboard shortcut for "Check Now", but I can't figure out a way to give the app focus in order to use the shorcut, aside from clicking the icon, which obviously defeats the purpose. FN-ctrl-F8 gets me to the menu bar, but not to Macbiff...this only works for OS based menu bar items, not 3rd party apps. Aside from a 3rd party keyboard app, is there a way to do what I'm trying to do? 3rd party apps don't see Macbiff as a running application anyhow.
