Jun 25, 2012PeerGuardian appears to be causing kernel panic and my iMac to continuously srash, and yet I cannot find it to uninstall - Spotlight yields no results at all, and I have removed it from login items under System Preferences / Accounts. I want to remove PeerGuardian completely to see if this resolves the kernel panic but don't see (a) how I can, given that I can't find it anywhere and/or (b) how it can be causing a kernel panic if I can't find it anywhere!Â

Jun 3, 2014I'm using a temporary monitor while my trusty old Mac HD Cinema Display is in the shop getting fixed.Â
As a stopgap I am using a Samsung T190. Â
My computer is a Mac Pro tower. I'm running 10.7.5 (Lion) as I'm still working with Final Cut Pro 7.Â
I can't get an option to switch the screen resolution to 1920 x 1200Â
I can go no higher than 1440 x 900.Â
In my quest for a solution I read something about the option key and the "scaled radio button" in the display preferences.Â
I don't see a "scaled radio button" in the preferences.Â

Intel Mac :: How To Delete Internet Streaming Files That Are Causing Hard Drive To Be Full
May 5, 2012Here is the back ground information of this situation. I have a IMAC 21 inch 500GB Hard drive 4 GB RAM, which is up to date with OS X Ver 10.7.3. So my wife loves to stream her favorite USA TV shows via the Internet, considering we are stationed overseas. She pulled me away from the NBA playoffs because she kept getting this error of start up disk full delete files (or something to that effect.) So last week, I deleted about 40GB of old shows that we downloaded and various other files and pictures. Not even four days later the Hard drive is full again, and I think it is from my wife's streaming habit. I went to "About This IMAC", to find out where the memory was being used from and its 377 GB used in a "OTHER", and the rest being utilized from APPS, MUSIC, PICTURES, etc. So next I cleared the history and deleted the cache files and reset safari on both our log in profiles, then logged out and restarted the computer, which did not minimize the Hard drive memory being occupied. Where are those streaming files getting saved specifically, for maybe a manual delete?Â

Jun 8, 2012Since I updated my Imac to snowleopard, there is no more printing on the good old epson stylusphoto1200 incjetprinter. even after downloading abaout 1 gigabyte (or 2) of Epson-drivers (from the apple-site) nothing works (" you need to update the software of your printer".. , but everything is updated on softweáre-update..)

May 14, 2012I'm tying to set up a new iMac with various email accounts. All have been set up fine however they will not send emails, only receive them. The settings are 100% the same as the iMac on the next desk and the iMac downstairs, all of which have these email addreses set up on them.
I have tried using differnet ports for the SMTP settings. But no luck.

Intel Mac :: Mail 4.5 Not Downloading Emails
Jun 2, 2012I am using an iMac with Snow Leopard 10.6.8, which has Mail 4.5 on it.Since yesterday, my Mail application will no longer download e-mails. When I open it, the little tray in the corner says it is downloading message 26 of 26, but after it finishes, nothing happens. No new Mail has been downloaded. It keeps doing this, even after a reboot (I have double-checked that the order of my Mail hasn't changed, and it isn't just showing at the bottom).
Today, I removed my Gmail account from Mail, and added it again. I entered my Gmail username/password. Once set up, it proceeds to download e-mails (downloading 1 of 26). The thing is, it has shown this constantly for the last 20 minutes. I don't even have big recent e-mails.
