I installed a new VPN profile to connect to a MacMini Server on System Preferences > Network, and I found there an old VPN profile that I don't want to use anymore. I tried to disable the service, but the delete button is greyed out, even if this service is active.
How can I remove this old VPN Profile?
Running OSX 10.4.11 Tried to add a profile for an old printer and now I can't access my printer setup to delete it. Every time I try to open it it shuts down and says that Printing Preferences has quit unexpectedly.
How do I wipe clean the printing prefs and start over.
I'm looking for a easy way to restore my 1st gen Core Duo MacBook (10.6.2)'s display profile to the original 10.6.2 profile. (Whatever that may be)
The color seems to be washed away somewhat dry looking. I have another one of the same laptops, and the display's colors seems far sharper and brighter.
under system preferences> display> color, what display profile do you use, adobe RGB, apple RGB, PAL/SECAM?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an early 2011 Macbook Pro, the higher end model with Snow Leopard. Before that i had a late 2008 unibody aluminum Macbook with Leopard. As soon as i started using my 2011 MBP i noticed the screen tone was much warmer than on my 2008 Macbook. all the colors look over saturated. i tried to change the color profiles, and the calibration tool, but it still looks horrible. i will try to post a picture showing both screens side by side so you can see what has been bothering me for a whole year now!

How to Assign Display profile to all users? I have tried using the admin login but it fails? I was trying to calibrate my Mac display and try to apply it for all user level, but when I try to login using a different user it switches back to the default profile. How do I resolve it?

Display profile changes-the color correctness- changes whenever I enter fullscreen mode in-game, in dvd player, etc. Absolutely spontaneously. When I exit fullscreen it recovers to regular display profile.
My regular display profile is "color LCD", and it changes to .
I've mitigated my profile from my older iMini to my new iMini. Everything worked out fine but I've noticed that [on the new imini] I have to input my password twice. Once I log on and input my password, my profile comes up and ask me again to input the password. I also have a unsecured startup deice/item (display) message displayed once the system comes up. Can I create a new profile and basically move all my documents over to the new established profile.

my system fonts are jacked up and fill in lines in Safari are not readable as the text is bigger than the fil in window. Also my laptop is running harder, hotter and the battery life is less than half of what it should be. I also get text overlap line to line sometimes in Safari.
I have restored my OS with a clean install and then recovered my profile from Time Machine, this is how I discovered its my profile. I added a clean profile the first time I rebuilt the mac and it ran much faster, with less hardware usage and longer battery life. Once I began to recover my profile the system was same as always slow with Safari issues mentionee earlier. I switched to the temp user account profile and the system is fast no Safari issues and less intensive activity going on, battery life good etc.
If I rebuild the mac again I am not able to recover the profile/account without issues, I would like to move just what I need to a new profile/account from Time Machine but it doesn't allow access to the original admin account for a selective restore. I would like to be much more granular about the restore and just move my documents and such. I don't want to recover the applications or application data at this point as I don't need it. I would rather re-install just the apps I need at this time. Other option would be to clean my account/profile so that it runs as it should or move everything I want (mostly documents) to a new profile for improved use.

In the user profile there is a specified "linked" image. In my case it is the image that was created when my user ID was first established. I'd love to change it to a better image because evidently it gets linked with my messages etc. I'm running Yosemite (OS 10.10.1) on a relatively new iMac

I have a 2GHz unibody Macbook. I don't know how to figure out my color profile but I thought this a bit.
I compared my color to my friend's iMac and I noticed his colors were more bright and deep. Is there any way I can upload another color profile and make it look better?
I want to buy the 27" iMac - but only if I can use it as external monitor for my Lenovo laptop when working from home. A the Apple store in London they said that this is possible with a Belkin converter from hdmi to mini display port (with a USB power caple to turn it into an active signal). The laptop also has a displayport.

I foolishly installed PocketCloud Companion (which was a ripoff) and now am unable to delete it from my apps folder under Finder. When I try to move it to the trash, I get a message that the app is still open. Where can I see it running? This also happened on another occasion where the move to trash cannot be done because "The item can’t be moved to the Trash because it’s open". And I don't know how to find where it is open so I can close and delete it.

For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure "Locked" is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. How do I delete SPAM without selecting it. On my older Mac there was a way, but on my newer one I can't figure out how to do it. When I select the SPAM messages they open immediately. I'm assuming that merely opening it sends a message to those who've spammed me.
