Feb 15, 2012None of the composing commands work. I receive mails in the usual way, but trying to answer them just doesnt work after clicking. There is not an error log. Command for quiting the application does not work to and I have to force exit before turning off the computer.

Jun 16, 2012I started having an issue with my iMac typing in the letter 'V' in any field, whether in a browser or in a window even after I've unplugged the keyboard. I've tried restarting several times, but it's getting worse to the point that I can't even type my password in b/c strings of the letter 'V' keep erroring out each field. The letter 'V' isn't stuck in the keyboard, my keyboard doesn't need to be cleaned, I've run a disk repair and no errors are coming up. I had to type this from a different computer otherwise the entire message would have had "v's" typed throughout!

Jun 15, 2012I have had my imac for 8Â months with 500gb space. It is saying my start up disk is full and when I check where the space is allocated 435 is in mail. I have tried deleting mailboex( I do have 4, 2 are IMAP and 2 normal) But the beachballs just roll.

Apr 25, 2012My "Caps Lock" key stopped functioning. Will not respond under the Keyboard Viewer either, though all the other keys do. Light will not come on, so I have to use the Shift key for each letter that I want to type in capital letters. I cannot find any on/off switches for that key under Help, or in System Preferences. Did I hit a key combinations somehow, that deactivated the Caps Lock Key? I have the bluetooth keyboard that came with my i7 IMAC.

Jun 19, 2014My cap lock is reversed. I've seen other had the same problem and I tried to fix it as it was explains:
PRAM reset was of no use. Restart was useless. also reinstalling maverick was useless. what can it be? if I disable the caps lock from the keyboard preferences, the led turns on, meaning that for my mac the lower case is set when the led is on.

Feb 4, 2008I recently bought a replacement keyboard on ebay for my MBP and just installed it. It's been about a week, and just today, I noticed the capslock key doesn't work.. I'm not sure if it has been this way, or if it recently just stopped. The light doesn't come on at all.
I was curious if this was a common problem? If not, is their anything I can do as a substitute for caps lock? Another key perhaps? Or, a button on the task bar or something?

May 15, 2012Upon 3 fast consecutive caps my keyboard changes layout automatically and there is no way I can change it back other than taking the batteries away and later putting them back. It is really annoying, especially because the backspace changes to forward space and the arrow keys have different functions. The keyboard has new batteries, changing language does not work, OS is 10.6.8 with all updates.

At the moment it automatically boots into machintosh unless I hold down the "option" key and select a diffrent volume from the boot menu. What I would like to do is instead of booting straight into mac os x id like it to open the boot menu first so I can select the Volume and OS.
