Almost from the beginning my Magic Mouse periodically got stuck in right click mode. I could usually get it out of it by opening preferences and unchecking the right click mode and then clicking a few times and then choosing it again. BUT in the last week it has happened more and more and the only way I've gotten it out of the mode is to restart. VERY annoying. The computer is just over 3 months old, actually 3 days over the 90 day telephone support period. I called and got the following advice: buy an extended coverage plan or take it to an authorized Apple store to see someone at the Genius Bar. Well, the closest Apple store to me is 120 miles and has no Genius bar and since this is an intermittent problem I don't see how they can do anything. What I am going to do right now is put it away and get out my Logitech wireless and hook it up and forgo the luxury of scrolling with my Magic Mouse..

I've got an imac with Snow Leopard on it. It has started to freeze up quite a bit, maybe once every two days. There are four profiles on the computer and it happens to them all.I have reparied permissions in each profile and run the Hardware test both standard and extended and it returned zero problems. I've reset the PRAM and NVRAM. When it freezes up the only thing that still works is the mouse. It moves the pointer but clicking doesn't do anything. Trying to force quit applications doesn't do anything. I tried unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back in, thinking maybe it wasn't really freezing but just a bad keyboard but that didn't do anything--and neither does rightclicking on anything.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have got a new magic mouse but it does not scroll, the scrolling feature does not show in mouse preferences, it only shows tracking speed and double-click speed. In Bluetooth preferences it says the mouse is connected and paired, but in Keyboard & Mouse Bluetooth preferences the keyboard name is there and it shows the battery level, but shows no name or battery level for the mouse.

I cannot figure out how to set up right click on my mouse. I have searched the internet high and low and found exactly how it is supposed to be done in system preferences. When I go to mouse in system preferences, there is no option to set up right click or secondary click. I am on OS X 10.7.2.Â

I purchased an iMac 27in with an i7 quad core, 8G of memory, and 1G video memory. I have up dated all software to current levels, the display jumping still persists. it happens when the mouse pointer is dragged across the dock or installing something from a disk or downloading from the internet. What could be the possible cause?

How do you login to your Mac OS when you can not use a mouse or other pointing device (trackpad)? Â
I have looked all over the Apple web site, and although there are lots of hints and tips on hundreds of keyboard shortcuts, there is nothing on logging in to your Mac OS without using a mouse.

i have been using my wireless keyboard and mouse with no probs until today-installed updates this morning-since I restarted have been unable to use either device-have tried everything Apple suggests to do- re-pairing unsuccessfully; turned everything off and back on-sometimes the Bluetooth says it is connected, othertimes not-but even when it says it is connected the keyboard/mouse don't work; put in new batteries-no go also; bluetooth icon is on.

Has anyone had a problem with their Intel iMac mouse freezing after it wakes up from being asleep. Check my sig for specs. In particular, we have a wireless mighty mouse and everytime you wake the computer from sleep, the mouse won't work. That includes taking out the batteries and putting them back in. Keyboard still works. Is the bluetooth going bad? Could it be the mouse? We're going to schedule an appointment with the Geniuses here in Memphis so maybe they can figure something out.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen my mac goes to sleep while i'm at work, it will not wake up. The wi fi mouse, keyboard and track pad do nothing. I have to reboot. This doesn't always happen though. It seems to have started doing this when I updated to Lion.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy mouse cannot left-click on anything. Cannnot open a or close a document by left clicking. It will open or close via pull-down menus and right-clicking. It also cannot select anything or drag anything. I have used several mice, no change. It all works okay when I safe-boot (restart holding down the shift key) but after regular start-up, it doesn't work anymore. Is this a virus?

For three weeks now, the windows on my desktop turn blue and separate when I click on a link or open another window. I had the hard drive replaced; Apple diagnostic found nothing. Accidentally discovered it happened when I used my mouse. Scroll only worked forwards, not back or to the side. Replaced mouse with new, identical model. Still happens. Then I used an old mouse from 2003, no scroll wheel, but it seems to work fine.
