OS X :: Pairing Wireless Keyboard And Mouse With IMac?
Mar 10, 2009I'm about to order my first iMac and I want both the wireless keyboard and mouse, the problem is how do I pair them with the iMac? Nothing will be wired in the first time its turned on so how will i be able to do anything - such as tell the iMac to look for the wireless kit? I don't have an old USB keyboard or mouse, so unless the iMac is clever enough to look the first time its turned on i'm stuffed. I don't want to have to buy a separate USB mouse just to tell it I have a wireless mouse, defeats the object!

Hardware :: Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard Not Pairing?
Aug 4, 2010had my macbook in for repair a few days ago, so prior to that I wiped it and restored everything afterwards with time machine.
just id a bluetooth firmware update as well, but for some reason it fails to connect to my wireless keyboard. no trouble with the wireless mouse.
I get this message:
then I enter a password, it says 'finalizing pairing' but then the window disappears and nothing happens

May 8, 2012like a lot of mac lover him having trouble pairing a clone copy of mac aluminium bluetooth keyboard. on a pc under xp no problem and no pairing number required. with my mac osx snow leopard. i was able to paired twice switching from keyboard pairing where my code is accepted with the enter and the second way is where you have the + and - and the list of your bluetooth device listed. i get to the point where i have to enter the paired code but the enter never work. so by switching and closing and trying to pair with both method at the same time i was able to have my keyboard working. Until i reboot or mac goes to sleep. If i had no sucess i would give up, but i been able to make it work twice,,, i don't get it. I have experience bluetooth a long time ago. And usually bluetooth is very easy specially with bluetooth 2.0. him using the 78 keys aluminium top and white plastic bottom with 2 AAA battery. report as vk bluetooth keyboard.

Apr 22, 2012a couple of days ago my mac seems as though it has been hacked, I have lost bluetooth and cant connect keyboard or mouse i just have usb mouse and keybord and that just wont do. can i get bluetooth back or can i take it to a shop (i hav no apple stores whre I live just retailers selling apple products).

Jul 5, 2012i have been using my wireless keyboard and mouse with no probs until today-installed updates this morning-since I restarted have been unable to use either device-have tried everything Apple suggests to do- re-pairing unsuccessfully; turned everything off and back on-sometimes the Bluetooth says it is connected, othertimes not-but even when it says it is connected the keyboard/mouse don't work; put in new batteries-no go also; bluetooth icon is on.

Feb 1, 2012When my mac goes to sleep while i'm at work, it will not wake up. The wi fi mouse, keyboard and track pad do nothing. I have to reboot. This doesn't always happen though. It seems to have started doing this when I updated to Lion.

Mar 27, 2012My wireless keyboard and sync connect when I turn the computer on and then daily it loses the sync after a period of sleep. The only way to reboot the computer is to hold down the power button, which I'm sure can't be good. It seemed to start after a recent upgrade. It had been working fine for 2 years and nothing I am aware of in the environment has changed with the exception of a new iphone.
I have fresh batteries in both latest update installed have no metal objects, wirless phone etc around the computer

May 3, 2012I have a wireless keyboard that came with my iMac in late 2007, and a magic mouse I just bought last year. The last few months I can't keep them charged. I bought new batteries, didn't help. I realized I have had the same charger for a number of years, so I bought a new one, didn't help. I bought brand new non-re-chargeable batteries, I put them in and they work at least but I immediately get the warning that they are critically low.

May 12, 2012After about a week I finally managed to reinstall Mac OSX Snow Leopard...I took a RAM stick out at random and it worked...good thing there weren't any Genius bar appointments which suited me. Anyway, now I need to connect a keyboard I've already got my USB keyboard in it (The same size one as the wireless one...but this one's wired) I've unplugged it, plugged it back in. I've dug out my wireless keyboard and nothing's happened (Yes, the green light blinks.I put my iMac to sleep, I turned it off, it still isn't working...
I could try and find a wired mouse/keyboard somewhere...but I can't believe my wired Apple keyboard isn't working with it I'm surprised Apple think this wireless stuff is a good thing...I'm more surprised my wired keyboard won't connect.It's an iMac 11,2 (I think - Whatever the late 2010 one was) and I'm running Snow Leopard.
Also - When's it safe to put the RAM back in? Or is it actually faulty and I need to get a replacement? How can I check?

Jun 4, 2012iMac starts up as normal. Once it is on desktop, will not open anything. Have new snow leopard to install, put disk in and it pops up on desktop, however just like anything else I cannot click or open it. I have unplugged, restarted, used command-option-escape( which does bring up "Force quit" box, but again I cannot click open or select anything.

Nov 13, 2009So my friend was using his MacBook and went to do something else. He came back and the screen was black, he hit space and nothing, tried the trackpad and nothing. He restarted by holding the Power button, and it go to the log-in screen, but he can't type anything, or use the trackpad. He has tired restarting several times and no luck. He also tried an external Keyboard/Mouse and that didn't work.
He did plug in a Flash drive and the light turned on, so the USB ports are at least getting power, but nothing is working.

May 23, 2012I have changed both sets of batteries. Turned them off and back on multiple times. Only reason I am able to ask this question is because I'm using my phone. I need my computer back. Nov 13, 2008I just got a new classic MBP 2.5 and I have one problem.
When in System preferences and and try to open "Keyboard and Mouse", it just says; Loading Keyboard and Mouse. Then nothing happens and System Preferences freezes and i have to quit and re-open it to use it.
Everything else in there works fine.
I�ve tried to repair permissions as well

Oct 23, 2009I searched for an answer but I am quite unsure how to do this. Basically I plan to get a 24" external monitor to mainly use with my MacBook Pro. Also I would like to get a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. But I would also like to use all of them with my PC if/when I decide to use it. I have used KVM Switches before but never with bluetooth. Does anyone know a good solution for this? Should I just get a wired mouse and keyboard?

Mar 25, 2009I'm currently in the market for a new 2.0 Mac Mini, however, I just can't decide which keyboard and mouse I should get. I don't really like the Apple keyboard and the mighty mouse is pretty bad. I am currently using a slim Kensington keyboard, which I must say is a very good keyboard. My mouse is a logitech G9 gaming mouse which I really love.
Question is will I be able to use both of them on my Mac Mini by just plugging it in to the USB ports on the back of the Mini? I really want to keep them, they are both black and I like to match my desktop. If I can't use them, is there a way to program them to work with my Mini? If there is a way to program them, how do I do it?
