I want to Karaoke 'Try' by Dolly Parton on Blue Smoke as there are no available karaokes of it commercially, so I want to remove the vocals on the song but keep the musical arrangement. Can Final Cut Pro X do that?
My camera (Canon T5I DSLR) has audio hiss in it. I heard that this is the automatic gain control in my camera. However I can't disable it. It therefor leaves an annoying hiss in the audio. Is there a way that I could remove this in final cut pro x or garage band?
I've been trying to record on Garage Band 09 and hit a wall on the fact that any song that I've recorded is mono and not stereo (i think?), I mean my voice only comes out one side of the head phones
I have been looking all over the place on the internet, including youtube in how to use garageband to record my singing voice over karaoke instrumental tracks to do a final recording.
I have the mic and the interface. Any internet link i've missed? Any information out there? I really appreciate your reply.
Recorded audio with a good sony wireless mic in a room that didn't have much in it to absorb sound, the audio is great except that it sounds like it was recorded in a large hall or something. I'm editing with FCE 4.01 on a macbook with OS 10.7.5 and I'm not very familiar with audio filters, how to get rid of the echo?
So I bought some BOSE Companion 20 speakers and when plugged in to my iMac I get great sound on the intsruments but little or no vocals. When plugged into the iPhone with the same EQ settings I get absolutely no issues and it's a perfect sound all around.
I just removed over 1000 cookies. They were bogging the system down to the point of having some pages freeze. I then closed Safari. I launched Safari again a few minutes later and all the cookies were back, even though the only site I went to was the Apple open page.
I've just noticed that in my Finder window sidebar, under "Shared", I have a character called Thomson listed. I don't know any Thomson and I bought the machine, an MBA, brand new. However, I did have an engineer instal the machine in my apartment and can only assume he's the mysterious Thomson. Anyway, whoever he/she is, I don't want him/her on my machine as Shared & "connected as guest". The point is, I cannot find a way to delete Thomson!! Can anyone help? I've tried System Preferences>Security and Accounts and there's no trace of Thomson there. Right clicking on Thomson in the sidebar of Finder only gives me the option to Open and Get Info. Most annoying, this. There MUST be a way to delete a Sharing but totally unwanted guest....
How well will the new 24" 3.06 with a GT 130 run Final Cut Pro when dealing with HD footage?
If I remember correctly, FCP doesn't pull much resources from the gfx card, but that's just my memory, not factual knowledge that i'm pulling from. Currently, when working in FCP I have been working with Mac Pro's, but would like to have a Mac of my own that way I can get some work done when i'm at my house as well.
I work mostly with 1080i footage and most of my projects end up being anywhere from 30 seconds to about 45 minutes long.
I know that FCP asks for you to have 2 gb for HD and SD footage, then 4gb ram for uncompressed HD footage... the 3.06 comes with 4 gb, so i would think that to be a set deal... i'm just still kind of in a rut while making this decision.
Does anyone currently have a iMac (new or old) and do any type of video renders that can get to be lengthy? If so, how well does the iMac hold up?
I just received a new MacBook Pro for Christmas (very excited) and I had the Apple Production Suite for my old PowerBook G4. I just got finished installing Final Cut Pro 4.5 on the new MacBook Pro and now it will not work. When I try to open the application a message pops up on the screen reading:
"Configuration error
This software requires certain hardware or software which is missing.
-AGP Graphics Card"
Now if I'm not mistaken the older version of Final Cut Pro is supposed to work with the new MacBook Pros even though their internals are different. If I'm wrong, then I have a bit of a problem. Have any of you had this problem or similar ones? I'm just wondering what I can do to fix it, I should also note that LiveType and Soundtrack are working fine, it's just Final Cut Pro.
dear forumer i really need your help on this one, below is my problems:
system : 4 x Power Mac G5(running snow leopard 10.6.4) Storage : IQ 36000x software : Final Cut Pro ver 7.0.2
problems: 1 .Play clip in fast forward mode(2x) at FCP directly from Isilon using 1 FCP Video and Audio is OK
2.Play clip in fast forward mode(2x) at FCP directly from Isilon using 1 FCP and another FCP is exporting clips to Isilon Both FCP video and audio is jerking.
3.Play clip in fast forward mode(2x) at FCP directly from Isilon using 2 FCP Both FCP video and audio is jerking, but when pause 1 FCP playback another one runs smoothly, and when start to play again the jerking also start to occur
4.All this mess happened after i upgrade from 10.6.3
After converting my mod file to mp4 then uploading it to final cut pro the quality is really bad and jumpy. I used MPEG streamclip... The quality is good after the mod - mp4 conversion it's only after i import it to final cut pro that the quality becomes really bad.
I don't have this problem when i am importing other files just the mod-mp4 converted ones.
can someone tell me an easy way to get rid of Final Cut Pro 5.1 on my Computer. I install it yesturday but the files was huge and I'm not planning to use it yet. There is no uninstaller, and I got all this QMaster and LiveType install witht eh FInal Cut Pro as well. So yeah it's quite a mess now. I'm deleting 1 one 1 searching through folder but I don't think I get rid of everything. Wish there is a uninstaller for this.
I have a problem digitising footage into final cut from my Sony HD 1080i/mini DV camera.
It used to work ok, albeit with some rendering issues.I had it set to the HD settings. Suddenly it stopped working I have tried adjusting the audio visual settings, using several different types. The only one i could get it to communicate on was DV50 pal 48Hz anamorphic. But it stops digitising after 3/4 sec and says there is a problem with my source tape.
I have my firewire connected to my camera but I am not sure what to click in order to import my videos. I know nothing about technical terms and stuff so I used Imovie but i don't have that anymore. How do I do this on FCP?
I have looked around and can't find any guides for my particular needs, so maybe someone here can advise me. I am a teacher and would like to make little instructional podcasts that include still images of a process and some narration over them. I need to be able to control how long to make the still images last on screen so that they fit the narration.I also want to know the best way to package it/export it so that it can be emailed or played on mobile phones.
I tried to use Final Cut Express Hd for the first time. I have a bunch of .mp4 files created with a Flip Mino HD camera (H264). I tried to import them in FCE, but I always get the UNRENDERED message on the Canvas window when I try to play it on the timeline. I know has something to do with the settings I put on the "Easy Setup" thing, but I tried everything and it's not working. How can I solve this? And what is the best way to work with those kind of HD files?
I just installed the latest build a few days ago on my MacBook and noticed that when I have the inbox selected I see all my notes are mixed in there as well. I had to create a smart mailbox that filters out notes in order to view it the same way as 10.5. Pretty annoying.
My father has the original airbook, and I love the size and design, but am aware that it had several major decision issues and limitations. Does the current version have enough power/capacity to effectively run Final Cut Pro? I'm much prefer this lightweight machine versus the macbook pro, but I don't want a meltdown everytime I try to edit a video.
