Applications :: Locate Specific Item To Remove The AppDelete Contextual Menu Item
Jun 23, 2010I've uninstalled appdelete as I now use cleanapp. Anyway, I have uninstalled it but the contextual menu is still present. I have tried looking at the services and libraries but cannot locate the specific item needed to be deleted to remove the appdelete contextual menu item.

Feb 27, 2012A new menu bar item caught my eye a couple of days ago. Identical icon to the Eject button on the keyboard. upward pointing triangle with a line under it. Click on it and it says, greyed out, "SuperDrive F12". Is this Apple code or someone else's? Do I need it cluttering up the menu bar? Probably not. But how do I get rid of it? And even more important, how do I look for the unwanted code that may be doing unwanted routines in this Mac? Or is this thing totally benign? Anyone familiar with this one?

Sep 18, 2009When I right click some links in Webkit / Safari I see an option to "Download with Speed Download". In the app itself though I see no options for contexual menu items. Apr 18, 2009Is it possible to move an item from the "More" section of the Contextual Menu up to the main section? In the attached screen shot you can see an item "Snag Path Unix" at the very bottom. I use this function about 100 times a day and it is very inconvenient that I have to go through a submenu for that.

May 17, 2009I'm trying to trash two things called MEMSTICK.IND and MSTK_PRO.IND. They have little locks by them and I can't drag them into the garbage. If I can get them into the garbage I can delete them but I can't get them into the trash. They were in there before but someone dragged them out.

Oct 30, 2009I have iPhoto 09 running on Snow Leopard and a Canon 50D DSLR. When I connect it to the computer using the USB cable, it does not show up under the devices item on the left side pane of iPhoto. I've tried changing USB cables as well as the USB slot to which the cable is plugged, but to no effect. The funny thing is if I select the option to automatically start iPhoto when a camera is connected, then iPhoto starts automatically when I connect the camera, but still the camera does not show up under devices. Occasionally, it does show up when I connect it, usually taking a long time to appear.

I recently upgraded to a hosted Exchange solution and they offer a download of Entourage 2008 that will allow Exchange Server interaction. When I loaded that version over top of my install, Entourage will not open. It gives me an error about the identity not being able to open the item.
MacBook Pro :: Suddenly All Of The Wireless Signals Disappear From AirPort Menu Up On Menu Bar
Dec 27, 2009I've realized that sometimes I "lose" my wireless signal. I am not using an AirPort router (I'm using Linksys, if that's at all helpful). I've noticed that suddenly all of the wireless signals disappear from the AirPort menu up on the menu bar, except the network that I am connected to (i.e., I only see my router's name there). It also becomes impossible for me to browse the internet, so what I've done to troubleshoot this is disable the AirPort, put the computer to sleep, and disconnect/reconnect my router. When I turn it on, it seems to work. I've also tried simply disabling and then re-enabling AirPort, but it doesn't work after that.

Dec 16, 2010I recently bought myself a Macbook Pro 13-inch model and I've been loving it so far. One thing that really bugs me is how bad the menu navigation is in OS X. I just read this on Macrumors and the only way to access menu from keyboard is by using ctrl+F2 key for which I have to press ctrl+fn+f2 key since F2 is a secondary function. Also, there is no way of going directly to the middle of the menu by keyboard shortcuts, right? If that is true, Mac OS X is still not polished enough for laptops. is there are a better way to control the menu items?

And I have no idea how they got links to Macintosh HD, movies and TV shows on the desktop. Does anyone know what app that is?
And on the desktop, I have seen that some people have their iTunes album artwork and the song playing show on their desktops. I have many different commands, like the date and time, running on my desktop using Geektool. But I have never thought that geektool would be able to show the artwork though. Is there another app that lets you have this or is it also geektool?

Dec 9, 2004Lately the right side of my menu bar (clock, volume, user name) has been freezing up. I can use the rest of my menu bar fine and everything else is okay but when I put my pointer by my clock I get the beachball. The only time I know it is frozen is when I realize its been "3:50pm" for a very long time now. Is there a way to reset it without restarting my computer?

Then using handbrake to encode te movie to be compatible with my devices.Everything works great except after I encode the movie I lose the DVD menu. When I play the encoded file the movie starts right away. How can I preserve the DVD menu after encoding e ripped file? The DVD menu is preserved from then ripped file, it only drops after I encode it. I'm assuming handbrake won't or can't keep the DVD menu.Is there a way to preserve the DVD menu with handbrake or another application on the mac? I want to be able to access the DVD menu when I watch my movies on my apple tv.

Feb 5, 2009I am making a dvd with instructions of how to train in the gym. I am making the menu in dvd studio pro 4. I want the main menu to contain an image with the front and rear musculature of the human body, and you can then choose a muscle by going up and down. When you click the muscle you enter a submenu where a small list of videos are available where you train that particular muscle.
I have made a .psd with the images of the body in black and white, and about 10-12 layers where the same muscles are cut out and coloured red (highlighted areas which will light up while navigating in the menu). [URL]. There is the .psd file if you want to see what it looks like.
