OS X :: Login Keychain Password Removing?
Mar 2, 2009Ever since I got my macbook, I've been trying to get everything in sync between it and my imac using mobile me. I had a lot of trouble with saved passwords and other things not syncing so I deleted both keychains and started over fresh. Now everytime I log on to either my imac or mac book I'mn asked for a password to access my keychain.
How can I disable this? Have a made a mistake somewhere in all this configuring? I've never really messed with keychain so I really didn't know what I was doing.

Jun 20, 2008Hi! Im new to the forums but i really need help with something and i was hoping someone here could help me out. So I just installed Tech Tool Deluxe onto my macbook and then shut it down later. I went back to use it again and when i turned it on a login screen appeared asking me to put in my password. I did that and the screen turned blue (looking like it was loading) and then went back to the login screen. Every time i put in my password it just takes me back to the login screen. I have had my mac for a while and i dont want my hardrive to get wiped out so what do i do? Thank you for looking

Dec 30, 2009I've got some login items that who-knows-where-I-got'em, but I do and I can't get rid of them.
Their item and kind are \\\ and unknown. When I mouse over them to see their resident folder, I get a yellow sticky of \\ ad nauseum.
And when I try to remove them, El-KaBong. A soft restart back to the login window.
Tried just an A&I of the system, hoping it would fix the problem, but no such luck.
Other than that, it runs just fine. Is this an issue?

Dec 15, 2009I cannot get a solid answer on this one. Since the update it seems that safari fails to save my login info. For example I have to re-enter my username and pass for macrumors atleast once everyday. Also it seems that Safari occasionally hogs more memory and resources after extended use. Anyone else?

I am able to login to everything and set my username as the administrator, but I can not set a password for it, if i try to input a password or change the password I get an error message saying I have input an incorrect password. It comes up and asks me for the password which is then rejected.Beyond reloading the OS not sure what options are. Did a permissions repair but no other luck.

Sep 14, 2010A week ago, my computer (Macbook) "crashed". When I powered it up, it would go to the grey apple screen, then it would go to a blue screen, then it would switch to a light blue screen, then back to the darker blue screen, etc and never fully boot into OSX. I finally found my install discs for OSX and reinstalled my operating system from scratch, formatted my hard drive, and started new. Once I reinstalled, I realized how outdated and different everything looked... and I realized I was running OSX 10.4. So from there, I found my Leopard disc (10.5), put that in, and "Upgraded" my system to 10.5.

I do not mind the initial login screen, when I just turn on my laptop but having to do this every time my computer goes into screensaver mode or I close the screen is annoying, especially in class.
