Ical Time Settings. I want to print a weekly view BUT with the times of the daily meetings adjacent to the actual event....NOT all the way on the left hand side of the view.
Is there a way to have the meeting times next to the event? It is awkward to try and see 15 minute increments, etc.
Earlier tonight I opened iCal, only to find that none of my calendars were there. it was completely empty. However, when I changed the view from "Week" to "Month" all of my events were listed (in the proper color) on the appropriate day, but I still had no list of calendars on the left. Subsequent changes between "Day" "Week" and "Month" view continued to display the events properly, but nothing showed up in the calendar menu on the left.
I repaired permissions same thing happened.I trashed com.apple.ical pref (forgot the exact filename)�same behavior. I use .mac to sync between computers, and I use Missing Sync to sync to a Palm T|X.
I swear I did this before, but I cannot figure out how to repeat. Is there a way I can get a list (of historical) items that were included on a calendar I created?
I have like 4 calendars that I would like to delete, but want to make sure I don't any tasks in the future on them, or anything historical I would need to keep a record of.
I track them in iCal, figuring I can just print out a list of when I get them and for how long.
I have a calendar in iCal labeled "headaches"
I go to print, select list, tell it to start at june 2005 and continue through today. Wwhen I tell it to print, it prints out EVERY SINGLE DAY, not just the days that have headaches.
Is it me or did you never see a "dot" in the mini month view within Ical when you had an event on a day? I have it on the iphone on month view but I could have sword that I had this on my Mac?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI belong to a club and shortly they are moving to Google Calendar as a way of publishing their events on-line. From what I have read else where, it is possible for them to publish their events publicly, so that they are searchable and anyone can add them to their own Google calendar.
Would it then be possible for me to view their public Google calendar in iCal? If not, could I achieve the same out come by setting up my own intermediate Google Calendar, which took the clubs feed, and then use iCal to view that? I don't wish to share information back, just add their info to my own calendar automatically. So that if an event is added/deleted or changed, my calendar is automatically updated when I view it.
If I have an event, starting on Friday, going on Saturday and and finishing Sunday, is it not possible to get this to show in the month view? I know it shows up in the weekly view, but it would be more helpful for me to have it up show up like this so I can get an overview of the month's forthcoming events. Or if it, are there any mods/addons etc that can enable this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've made a calendar in iCal organizing the shift roster for 4 people at my work. Its a security job, so there are 'Day' shifts and 'Night' shifts. Starting at 5.00AM and 5.00PM respectively and running for 12 hours.
The problem I am running into occurs when I go to print. Instead of having the nice layout that it does in the actual editable calendar where it just says Day and Night (image 1), it is adding the times of the shifts (image 2).
What I am trying to be able to do is simply print out the calendar as it appears in the program in the first place. Anyone know how to do this?
Does anyone else notice that on Leopard's iCal in month view, certain words cause text to be missing.
for example 'The Bluejacks Duo @ The Walkabout, Cardiff' is displayed as 'The Bluejacks Duo @ The Walkabout,'
If you enter 'The Bluejacks Duo @ The Walkabout, Cardiff UK' it works fine and displays all text.
I am convinced this is a bug but it has never been fixed and noone else seems to be mentioning it.
Am I totally dense, or is there no way to edit AM/PM for an event from the "Month" view pop-up in iCal? And also no option in iCal to use a 24-hour clock? Doesn't this make the month view mostly useless, since you never know if the times are AM or PM?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have to clean up my calendars in ical.app. At the moment, there are around 10 different calendars mixed from fragments of an Outlook import, mobile phone import, Entourage fragments, new ICal calendars. Can I display all events of a calendar at once in a list, to mark and delete unimportant or double events? Is there a easier way, to edit multiple events from one calendar to another (I have to export a calendar, delete it after export in ical and import it in the calendar, I want it to live in)?

Everything was working fine, but now my calendars keep disappearing, even though the data is still there (when I open iCal, i see the calendars, and then they disappear after a few moments and any alarm that I set will pop up the way it was supposed to).
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, the time of my events stopped showing in iCal. I get the event, but the time doesn't show unless I click on the event. The time does show in week view, but I prefer to use month view. This has not been an issue in the past, so I don't know what happened or if I clicked on something accidentally. I tried going to iCal preferences, but I don't see anything that allows me to select "show time in month view" which has been suggested by other usI'm using OS X Yosemite.Â

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just used the ical calibration tool to sync ical up with my google calendar and it works like a charm. I love how i can just click on dates in Mail and add them to my iCal which then pushes i to google calendar for my wife to see...that way i can sneak tennis or a round of golf in and she can't say she didn't know
At any rate-i would like to know if there's a way to pull her cal stuff to my ical. I can see all of her stuff on my google calendar, but i dont have the "right" to add her account to ical. I assume i could just have her enter in her login info - but i would like to know if that's the best way.
Trying to get them to talk to each other - I've input the Google account into iCal preferences, and it shows up fine. But I seem only able to sync one way - if I add an appointment in Google Calendar - then sync - it shows up fine in iCal. But if I add an event in iCal and then sync - it doesn't show up on the Google Calandar.

Is there a way to force Safari to print what I see on a webpage, and not default to the print style? I'm trying to print a graphically-rich site and the print.css doesn't cut it, making everything look like trash (unformatted text, etc.).
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt's happened twice this month - my CPU fans will suddenly rev up to 4,000 RPM, and iStatPro will show the CPU temperature as "--". The first time it happened, I was worried that the machine got too hot. The second time, I had just sat down at the computer in the morning... the top of it was hardly even warm.
Both times, after shutting down and rebooting the fans went back to normal, but the computer performed poorly in graphical tasks such as rendering and gaming until I do an SMC reset, which brings it back to normal.

Anyways this problem has been going on for a few weeks now so I have made a "timeline" of what happens:

What I need to do is an extension of Parental Controls. The main difference is I want to do WEEKLY time allocation/restrictions, not daily. I want to give the kids (for exmaple) 10 hours a week for internet access. I will set blocks of time up that will bar access from 11PM until 7 AM but within the open time, they will have 10 hours. Once that 10 hours is used, they are locked out. There are several tools that seem to do variations of this, mainly limit the # of hours per day.... this will not work. I have looked at Content Barrier, NetNanny Safe, Eyes, and a few others... There are a couple on the Windows side but they do not have a Mac version.Â

I am new to Mac and I have a 10.6 server running the following services: AFP, DCHP, DNS, NetBoot, NFS, Open Directory, Print, SMB, Software Update, Web. Everything is going well. When we start up Safari, it is automatically trying to access a website http://weeklygiftwinner.com, and displays a window saying Congratulations! You have just qualified for a chance to win an iPhone 4S. Click OK for details (and an OK box is shown at the bottom of this window). There is no way to get out other than to force-quit Safair. Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it. Even if I restart the computer, it just comes up again when I try to start up Safari?Â

I noticed that finder is not displaying all files when I look at folders with lots of files in "icon view" mode but they do show up in "list view" Same thing happened with the computer at work. I'm using OS X Leopard on both.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer! Â
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.Â
Let me just say that I'm not a Mac user and and never have been i have the UK iPhone and was waiting in line to get it, so i do appreciate Apple products. Basically i want to find out the total of all the bandwidth that all the PC's/Mac's are using in my household, I've got the software for my Windows machines but my sister has a Macbook (which i recommended her btw) and i don't have a clue what to get for it? I need something that can display daily & weekly preferably monthly even hourly if it has it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedEverytime I upload that ical backup file... nothing happens in google calendar. It does nothing in Firefox... and safari I just get 0 was transferred. I just want to bring over my calendar to google. Does anyone know what is going on? Anything I am missing?
Loaded 10.6 last night and everything appeared to go well. However, when I opened iCal, ALL of my appointments, birthdays, events, etc. had disappeared. Unfortunately I had not backed up iCal before loading SL.
I have good SuperDuper backups of the system and I have Time Machine backups of everything, but I don't see a way to extract the appointment data from those.
