I run a clean (no add-ons or apps messing with it) iTunes 9.1, and since my 9.0.3 to 9.1 upgrade, I've had a lot of crashes when searching for song names in the column browser.
Is there anything I could do?
Upgraded to ITunes 11.2.2, the latest, using 10.6.8 OS on an Imac and first I noticed no images in my Wishlist. Just a blank screen, with the ability to sort by name ,etc tab.  Now when I do a search for an artist or an album on the store, I get a blank screen also for results, i see the text for showing the options of Aps, Music, Movies, but no images of search results.

So immediately after itunes 8.1 update and restart my MacPro has been lagging big time. Firefox freezes, Mail freezes...everything is lagging...what gives? i've fixed permissions and verified the disk, there are no errors. anyone else experiencing issues with the update?

View 7 Replies View RelatedA week ago my macbook wouldn't turn on without the safe mode start. Several things weren't working in this mode, and after a lot of searching online I did the turn off - turn on - press alt, cntrl, P, R and it started booting normally. BUT, itunes crashes whenever I try to turn it on and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I've also tried deleting some caches and the flip4mac thing. None of this has worked. My mac is so slow at the moment, and this problem isn't helping.

Ever since, iTunes will attempt to launch, getting past the "loading music library" prompt but then crashing immediately following. I've reinstalled the program, and also updated quicktime, but no avail. I can post a crash report, but here are the things that stick out to me:

View 1 Replies View RelatedI run a college internet-only radio station. The system we use works from the iTunes library. Each week, I download music from several music distributors, an average of 20 albums per week. Some of these downloads do not come with album artwork attached. Of those, some have artwork available through the iTunes store.Â
The catch is that each time I tell iTunes to get album artwork, it starts at the top of its list and works through the (as of today) 1,817 albums. It meticulously checks albums for which it already has artwork as well as albums for which it has already failed to find artwork on previous occassions. This process takes about 45 minutes. I've searched the options, but haven't found a "Check for album artwork only on recent additions" option. Â
Recently, in the middle of working with applications in iPhoto09 they simply crash. I get a message stating no harm was done but it's getting annoying as it's happening more often than not. I am new to mac, have had it now for maybe two weeks, but wouldnt expect apps to crash this often. Any thoughts?

Bing tends to prioritize search results for me, with lots of junk, paid ads coming up first and very few results on the first page. I haven't found any info on this problem. When I search the Applications folder in the finder window for things over a certain file size, no apps show up as a result. I look for things over 10KB, yet still nothing appears. Apps otherwise show up fine in Spotlight.
I have reindexed many times. Perhaps my app permissions are wrong? My apps are read/write by staff and read only for everyone. Should there be read/write access specified for System or Wheel?

I can hear the drives start spinning when I start to do a search, but they don't do it well enough, because generally the finder hangs and often I have to crash out and restart. The problem doesn't occur with the drive I use for time machine, so I can leave that hooked up, but often I have other drives attached so I can access material on them. Trouble is, they seem to spin down when I'm not using them and then they cause trouble whenever I do a search. L. P.S. I'm on a 2009 imac running 10.7.4. I have 4 gigs of RAM.

I am begining to regert upgrading to Lion. Safari is much slower. iMac crashes almost everyday. Never saw these issues with Leopard. I keep on getting the following message from iTunes, and if I don't quit it or force-quit it, I will have a black screen telling me I have to restart. Here is the message:

Ever since updating through software update iTunes to 10.6, it has become almost unusable. It crashes whenever my iPod Touch is connected. I have tried re-installing 10.6 from teh direct download and i have tried to downgrade to 10.5.3 but the system won't let me delete 10.6 as iTunes is now, apparently,a necessary part of the OS.
