My Latest ITunes Crashing
Mar 10, 2012My iTunes is crashing on startup. It's never happened before.Has anyone else experienced this lately and is there a remedy?

Mar 23, 2012I recently updated to the latest version of iTunes and since having done this, it continually crashes and will not open.Â

Jun 15, 2012Yesterday, iTunes installed an update to 10.6.3, and since then freezes less than a minute after launch. The beachball just spins and iTunes is completely unresponsive. It is usually downloading a new podcast at the time, but that is simply because that's the first thing iTunes does if I'm not syncing. Â
I tried restarting. I tried restarting in Safe Mode. I tried restarting without anything connected to any ports. I tried uninstalling iTunes, restarting, installing a new download from apple website, and restarting again. Â
I'm not sure what to do next..Everything was working fine up the the moment the upgrade finished. Â
I'm running a fairly new Macbook Air running OSX 10.7.4 with all software updated.

Jul 1, 2012I have the developers iOS 6 Beta on my iPhone 4s. I need the latest iTunes 10.6.3 to sync with iTunes. I went to www.itunes.com as it told me to and I went to the downloads page. Usually you enter your email and click the download button. My problem is there is is no download button or email box! I need to download the latest iTunes and I can't. I did a software update, but it does include iTunes I tried it on Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, all coming up with the same thing. I am also using a Mac.

Apr 6, 2009For years I've used iTunes' "Create AAC version" .mp3 to .m4a feature in the advanced menu, primarily to reduce the file size of my many thousand mp3 songs.
Since the latest update to iTunes, whenever I do this now, the AAC version file size created by iTunes get larger, and makes the .m4a significantly bigger than an .mp3.
I understood the very point of an AAC/.m4a was to be a smaller sized file of an equivilent .mp3 while keeping a similar quality.
I know large artwork affects the file size, but this still happens regardless of artwork.
Does anyone know what's changed re this feature in this latest update?

Feb 23, 2010A week ago my macbook wouldn't turn on without the safe mode start. Several things weren't working in this mode, and after a lot of searching online I did the turn off - turn on - press alt, cntrl, P, R and it started booting normally. BUT, itunes crashes whenever I try to turn it on and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I've also tried deleting some caches and the flip4mac thing. None of this has worked. My mac is so slow at the moment, and this problem isn't helping.

Mar 8, 2012I am begining to regert upgrading to Lion. Safari is much slower. iMac crashes almost everyday. Never saw these issues with Leopard. I keep on getting the following message from iTunes, and if I don't quit it or force-quit it, I will have a black screen telling me I have to restart. Here is the message:

I have tried re-installing 10.6 from teh direct download and i have tried to downgrade to 10.5.3 but the system won't let me delete 10.6 as iTunes is now, apparently,a necessary part of the OS.

Mar 24, 2012Over the last couple of day's every-time I open ITunes 10.6 on SL 10.6.8 it crashes , sometimes it will stay open long enough to browse through the A titles in my library then crash and sometimes it will not even open , have done permission repairs and that didn't help?It started this after I installed the last update that Apple pushed a few days ago , cant remember what that was though.
