I have a very very large iTunes library. I copied the whole "Music" folder from my mac and everything else onto my WD external for backup so when i get my new drive i can do a fresh install and move them back over When i get on my fresh install....do i just copy the contents of the Music folder i backed up on my External over to the music folder on the new install?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm running Lion on an 27" iMac (first i7 iteration), and have a folder on an external HDD that contains a couple of hundred subfolders.Â
However - when viewing them in Finder, only the first hundred or so display.Â
The others are there - searching the disc finds the folders and their contents and, once, the contents are located, they'll display in the expanded view.Â
I copied the offending folder across to the Mac's main HD, but this behaviour came across with it. This, by the way, was happening on Snow Leopard too before I upgraded to Lion.Â

My cousin has an iBook g3 running Panther. She is having a little trouble using it and I am here to help her with it.
It would be so much easier to do things remotely with her.
My question is, can my PC (Windows XP Home) remotely connect to her laptop (10.3 Panther)?
If not possible at all, then that's ok. If it is not possible: my new MBA will be coming in the middle of December. When I receive it, then could I help her remotely?
I just had this question because I set up her network at home remotely (XP to XP)
it appears that my AT&T Yahoo! mail account uses IMAP to push mail messages to my iPhone. However, every time I try and set up the AT&T Yahoo! mail account in the OS X Mail.app program, it sets it up as a POP account. Can I not have that set up as an IMAP account in Mail.app too!? If not, why?

So I have imported all my music from my HD to itunes without unchecking the import to media folder. I would like to delete it from my media on the imac whilst still retaining it on itunes. Advise so far given is delete completely from itunes therefore the media folder being deleted and then import again without importing to media folder.Is there a way to delete the contents of the music folder?Â

I was on the internet with my iBook G4 the system froze for over 10 minutes so i did a hard shutdown of the system (held the power button) When I attempted to turn the computer back on, the start up chime played then showed the grey apple screen, attempted to start up then went to a blue screen and now stays that way. I have attempted to change the PRAM and PMU to no avail, I also restarted in safe mode but all i got there was a different blue screen with no desktop icons.

Is it possible that I can make it look like PDF file. When you open a pdf file on the right part for example it says chapter 15 and when you click it it opens chapter 15. Our instructor told us today that if you use table of contents you can do this. So, when you are writing long reports if you add a table or kind of thing to one part of your report nothing shifts.

Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location.I have changed the download location multiple times but no help.
I've been working with iMovie 5.0.2 lately to splice together clips of historical shows that I have on my computer. It is great for cropping them to the right moments, but I find that it takes forever to import film and then to share a movie, not to mention the unwieldy size of the final product. I learned the trick of dragging the clips directly into the media folder of a project, but I still have a problem with exporting the final product. It takes forever, and unless I choose a format exceeding a gigabyte, the quality is rather poor.
On to my question: in the package contents of an iMovie project, there is a folder called Shared Movies, then a subfolder named iDVD. I have found a high quality format of my movie there, and it is much smaller in size. While I have noticed that it relies on the individual clips in the Media folder, I can't help but think that its size would be much smaller overall if I were to somehow free it from relying on the clips, as the size of the entire project is under 300 mb. Any suggestions on how to get this movie free of the other clips?
Fairly simple, I've added an automatic contents page to my document, but I was hoping to have it use two columns instead of one to conserve space since none of the headings are especially wide. However, when I change the number of columns, it screws up the contents, whatever is used to space out the titles and the page numbers doesn't seem to adjust automatically.
I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to do this without manually entering the contents?
When I highlight items in my Inbox, the contents don't show below. They used to, so what do I do to enable that feature again?

Shouldnt the disk appear over in the left hand side of Finder along with the Macintosh HD and Network etc?
