I'm pretty interested in customizing my icons and creating sets and things like that with CandyBar, but I have NO idea as to how to change an icon or how to use CandyBar. Also, how hard is it to restore all the icons to defaults?
View 4 RepliesI need a music editing software for creating music sets for my bellydancing sets. I need to be able to cut pieces of songs to create intros and exits. I want to be able to fade the beginning and end of songs. I also want to be able to add a recorded introduction to the beginning of a song. I've tried audacity, but it required another software to put it in the right format for burning to a cd. too many steps. I want a software that can read the songs from itunes and create the set in a format that can be easily burned to a cd.

Now also in the picture is the red badge with the number 1 indicating i have one new message. How could i change that red badge to a coin? I have the coin image and everything.

I have tried to use Magnifique but, that seems to only change some of it.
My question is, how would I be able to change the fonts and the icons on the menubar? What would I need?
I am very disappointed to find that iPhoto only uploads photos to Facebook & Flickr in complete sets. I was really looking forward to this feature as I use both websites regularly, and assumed I would be able to upload just one picture, and choose what album I would add that photo to online. But no, iPhoto needs me to have an entirely new Flickr album matching an entire iPhoto event.

i just purchased candybar about 2 weeks ago on my imac. love the convenience of the program, but i may be selling the computer soon.i'll definately put a fresh install of leopard on the imac befor selling.if i buy a macbook, can i use my candybar serial..or do i need to purchase it again?

When I drag new icon to the application (Firefox) in it changed in Candybar, I'm asked to apply the changes and restart the Dock but the icons are not changed.I made a short video that show the problem.I also tried to just restart OSX but it doesn't work either.

After that my dock was no more I have tried making another login but still the dock is missing I dont believe that anything got deleted idk. Also I opened candybar again and I pressed the button to make it restore all the changes is made. It completed the restore but my dock was still missing.

However I have run into some strangeness On the desktop, if I quit and then reconnect to the iDisk it will show the new icon for a moment and then change it back to the default purple drive with the cloud picture. yet, in the finder on the left hand side it shows the new icon. But at the top of the finder window it shows the default icon. WTF?
I have tried changing it in CandyBar several times but this is always the behaviour after the changes
So, to start off I have been attempting to try and learn to use CandyBar by myself.. I've done a pretty good job. I was just wondering how people customize their docks so well. I download most of my icons from iconfactory, although really the only one I liked was "Agua Onyx" but it didn't come with the ones of apps like firefox, iTunes, etc.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm a long - very long - time user of Firefox but would like to switch to Safari as FF seems to suck lots of CPU on my Mac (in fact it seems to do so on any *nix OS ) but there's one thing that I can't get used to, which is the Close Tab button being on the left of the tabs in Safari whereas it's on the right in FF.
OK, so there's nothing inherently better about them being on the right, it's just that I've got so used to it that I can't seem to break the habit of clicking over to the left-hand side of a tab when i select it which of course in Safari closes the damn thing. What makes it even more annoying is that there doesn't appear to be a Re-open Last Closed Tab command in Safari as there is in FF (Cmd-Shift-T).
Is there an undocumented command-line option to switch the close buttons to the right-hand side and/or a Re-open Last Closed Tab command?
I am new to the Mac OS world as I only got a mac one week ago. I'm learning lots of new stuff everyday but can't seem to figure out how to make my applications show up at the Guest Account Dock or even at the Applications folder for that matter. I got Microsoft Office for Mac and it works fine and all on my User account (admin) but i cant make it show up at the applications folder or at the dock so when someone borrows my laptop for some office editing they have to be logged on my account. Is there a way to customize the applications that show up on Guest Accounts?

It's brilliant. But as FireFox doesn't use keychain (what are the disadvantages of this) I was wondering if anyone knew of an app or plug in that can customize google for safari in the same way? How I can add buttons to the toolbar. The supplied toolbar is pretty limiting. How I can improve my safari so that I can keep everything integrated or will I have to stick with FireFox?

Unfortunately, this black box in the upper-left hand corner somehow appeared and now won't go away. I then uninstalled and am now running GeekTool 3.0. The problem persists. Is there a way I can get rid of this box, yet keep the changes I've already made in my dock?

I'm sick of the standard grey mac color.When I'm in candybar I go to the dock section-->view-->dock-->preview background..the options under preview background are greyed out. Also when I am in the dock section-->view-->background-->change color. I try changing the color but it doesn't change. Am I doing something wrong..or what?

Okay, I've subscribed to a couple of calendars in iCal, including birthdays from Address Book, but I'm completely stumped. If I want to receive an alert when one of these items is coming up, then what do I do?
I don't want to rely on alerts being added at to the subscription itself, I want to be able to customise on my end when I get an alert for an entry, and when or what that alert will be. Is this possible? I don't see any options for it. If not, anyone know of any good alternative calendar applications that are like iCal?
I have my G5 set up with a harmon kardon speakers and all is fine. From my office there are cables to another room where I can attach speakers. I know that I could have used airport extreme to connect other speakers but can anyone tell me how I can connect the other speakers (via) the cable to my mac. I would like to be able to hear the same music in this room.

Everytime I restart my computer my clock sets to some random time! I've never had this problem before, and no matter how many times I set it back it always changes. That and my weather widget always changes to some random city.
