Nov 30, 2008I'm having an issue with iMovie '08 and YouTube. I recorded my iMac unboxing and even short clips using the iSight Camera, and tried to publish them to youtube. The videos say "Published to YouTube" beside them and all, but when I goto YouTube, the videos are not there. They don't even say "Awaiting Review" or whatever. They just aren't there. I'm entering correct account information and all. I'm annoyed, because one of the reasons I decided to get a mac was to engage in YouTube.

Mar 31, 2010i'm having this minor but annoying problem with Firefox. every now any then when I move my mouse over the volume button while I'm watching a Youtube video in order to get the volume bar to pop up, nothing happens. if i click repeatedly on the button and go crazy it will pop up, but it will not let me slide the volume bar up and down. i don't remember having this problem with Safari. it's sort of like the browser isn't recognizing my mouse cursor hovering over the volume area in order for it to trigger the bar to pop up, if that makes any sense.

I have an app that will take out the video and turn the audio into mp3 which works perfectly
but I do not have an app that will download the video to view it at a later time.
I used to use Jdownloader , but downloading stops with a message saying "Aborted" , and sometimes when it is downloaded , the video will be corrupted with a blackout.

I do plan on making a backup with an external HD but don't have access to it till I go back home in a few months, so was wondering how can I download my own videos from YouTube, preferably in HD? Currently i've been using the programs "iSky Free Video Downloader" & "Tooble."
But I'm almost certain they don't download in HD.

I have a slow internet and it would be nice to have it on my computer so I can watch it whenever i want it. Every time i try to stream videos rather it be on a "tube-site" or not they "buffer" or are interrupted because of slow loading. Mar 17, 2010I have ClickToFlash installed and recently I went to YouTube and attempted to view a video but all i got was a very ropey looking 'go upgrade' message instead of the video. If I click on it it takes me to Adobe site to update Flash. I updated but still no videos. I put YouTube on the Whitelist in clicktoflash but i still get the upgrade flash message. Does anyone else know what may be causing the problem? Lastest Flash, Click2Flash, Safari and SnowLeopard.

Apr 22, 2010Heres the thing ive been using Click to Flash for a while now and have been downloading some videos from youtube as the program allows you to do on safariBut now i noticed that with the new Youtube Layout whenever i click to download a video a new video pops up with the click to flash player just playing the video.I checked for updates my software is up to date i tried reinstalling it and still nothing.Can anyone tell me if they are experiencing the same thing and how can i fix this?

May 2, 2009I'm having trouble view YouTube videos. When I try to view a video, it tells me my flash player isn't up to date. But when I download the latest player from the link they provide(which it tells me is successful), I still can't view the video.

Jun 29, 2010For some odd reason, my Google Chrome browser will not show the videos from YouTube, but I can hear the sound in the background.
This problem happened during either after I downloaded all of my OSX updates (this is a new macbook), or after I installed SilverLight to watch some videos on Netflix.
In the past, neither of these had that effect on Google Chrome.
Safari shows videos just fine, so I'm not sure why Google Chrome is all of a sudden having this issue.

Applications :: Unable To Find Backup Program / Customizable Program For Backup?
May 28, 2009I'm looking for an app that will allow me to specify which folders I want to copy to my external drive, updating existing files within it and copying new ones.
I don't want to backup settings, my whole harddrive nor make a bootable backup. Just something to backup what I want to backup and where.
Not sure if Time Machine can do that, but it wants me to reformat my external before I can even find out..and considering how much is on there, I really don't want to have to remove that all elsewhere while doing so. [Don't think I could anyway, none of my internal drives have that much space.]
So, does anyone know of a relatively painless backup app that could do simply what I want? Doesn't sound all that complicated in comparison to some of the more convoluted backup apps I keep finding.

Jan 7, 2009I have a program that can find duplicate files. What my questions is if I get an email from someone and then I forward it to someone now I have a duplicate one in my inbox and another in my sent. If I delete the one in my sent then when I open it the attachment will not show. Is there a way for it to just store the file once and then create an alias pointing to the main file.
Another example: If I attach a photo from iPhoto to an email there again is another duplicate. I would much rather Mail send the photo and create an alias to the original photo in iPhoto thus creating no duplicates.
I hope that was not confusing.
I want a program that will find duplicates and then keep 1 and create alias's for the one's deleted.
I know this is not all cases of duplicate files but mainly my Mail has way to many duplicates.

This is cause I didn't care before and now I do. I also have a lot of videos on my computer, mostly personal, that I'd like to rename. I tried doing it one by one (hitting enter/return key, then changing the name) but it's taking to long.

Jul 29, 2009I have an older MBP (2.2Ghz, 2GB RAM, 120GB HD) and am having problems with PDF files. Well, I guess it would be better described as annoyances with PDF files. I use Adobe Reader and the lag when scrolling is unbearable. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Can anyone suggest alternate programs that may remedy my problem.

May 15, 2007I have some concert DVDs I put on my iPod and I switched the video kind (in info, under the video tab) from movie to music video. Problem is, now I can't find those concerts on iTunes, I can still view them on the iPod, but I can't find access to them through iTunes to edit info/delete them if I want to. Can anyone help me in finding them on iTunes?
