Ever since upgrading to SL, aMSN hasn't been supported, and its the only client I know of which offers webcam support for MSN. I was just wondering if anyone knew of an alternative program that supports SL as well as webcam for the MSN network.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know much about this. I'll explain it as good as possible: I have a macbook (leopard) and I'm trying to use the aMSN. At first I was able to do it, but then I moved out and it doesn't work here since then. My roomemate operates the windows laptop wirelessly, so do I the mac, but I do have acces to the modem/router. I tried changing the attributes of the router (a westell versalink A90-750015-07 provided by verizon) and nothing happened. Then I read that I could try selecting : connecting using HTTP method, and I finally was able to log in, however I am not able to send or receive any messages. I see when contacts come online but they just don't receive my messages nor I get theirs. I noticed that the connection tab on aMSN says. Type: IP-restrict-NAT and also "you are firewalled or behind a router. So far, none of the methods explained here have helped.

And besides that I can�t get video calls, or at least share web cam with anybody any more, either it will crash or I�ll be able to see the other person, but the other person won�t see me.I�ve updated to the latest 0.98 version, but no luck whatsoever. I have a MacBook with built in webcam, external webcam, and iChat. Next to everyone who has a Mac on iChat is the green box, but there is a phone icon rather than a video icon.
Video chats used to work, but suddenly they stopped. Clicking the green icon next to my name on top opens a box that days "My Build-in iSight" and I can see myself in that webcam, but can not make video chats. How can I fix this?
I bought Photoshop cs4 extended student version and installed it on my mac (Imac os X 10.5.8) but when I wanna open it, it says " cannot open Photoshop because it's not supported on this architecture. I work from home two days a week and work my ass off for my boss! However, she seems to think I do nothing, mostly because she doesn't understand how many times you replan a financial model before you get it right and how long this takes!
Anyway, I thought if I was able to take a screenshot of my screen every 5 seconds and a shot of myself (through my webcam on my MacBook Pro), then put it into a video, she would be able to see exactly what i do and it would stop her complaining!

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor the longest time I was using an older version of FF, I think the 1st version of 3.5 so I could use this Google Notebook add-on that was support at the time....with this version I was using Google Gears which allowed Gmail offline use (alongside Google Docs offline & Google Reader offline) ..but since updating to the latest FF 3.6 it tells me Google Gears isn't supported, therefore not including Gmail offline use and the others.
I've been using Apple's Mail with my Gmail account, and its not that I don't like Apple's Mail, it's just i've been so accustomed to Gmail's experience.
How can I get this back? I need to be able to access Gmail offline...I love the starring system, labels, and their threaded conversations function.
A lot of people have been affected by the problem - the change to Lion OSX has left them stranded because Power PC Applications are no longer supported. I don't understand firstly why Apple has done this. There are thousands of software programs in use by their customers and suddenly these don't work. As these are programs used by students, teachers, employers and employees this seems quite senseless to leave everyone high and dry.

I am currently looking to purchase a webcam for my Apple Desktop. I am really interested in buying the logitech C910 Webcam. I know on their website it says that this webcam is not officially supported by the Mac OS. However I am wondering if there is anyway I could make it work. I would be using it for Facetime, Skype, and Photobooth. I read that you can run the Webcam in UVC mode, but I'm not sure if these applications will still work with it.

The file shows up in iPhoto, but when I go to iPhoto movies in iMovie, the file does not show up. What type of formats does iMovie let you import? Perhaps I can't import because its the wrong type of file? If so, is there a (free) way to convert the .MOV file into a file that can be imported into iMovie?
