I just purchased the eyeball microphone/webcam from Blue. The image shows up as reversed like in a mirror when using it in all applications (ichat,photo booth,quicktime X). Is there anyway to reverse the image so it looks normal again?

However, when I try the background effects (included and custom) the back ground image is not showing in the background, but instead in parts of the picture I'm trying to capture. Is there a way to adjust those settings?

I need to stream a video of my choosing using amsn in OsX. I found an app named macam that is suposed to do just that, among other things. I followed the intructions but I just can't get it to recognize the dummy webcams.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I compose a message in mail and drag an images into the mail it just shows up as an icon. So I can't see the image in the mail. I relized today that when I send the mail and the recipient opens tha mail the image is just displayed really really small.. I've tried to setup a new user on the same machine and when I compose a mail with that user drag and drop works beautifully and the images shows in the mail just as it should.I’ve tried: defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing 1 (and I tried setting it to 0 as well) but no difference. I’m running 10.10.1 and mail 8.1. Anyway I can solve this or a work-around would be great that doesn't involve migrating to the test account.. Can I either reset the mailsettings, or copy any .plist that hold the mail.app settings from the test account (where it works as it should)?

Does anyone know where I can download a free image editing program that shows the pixel values changing as the image is being cropped? The best basic program that does this is Microsoft Picture Manager, so I basically need something like this for the Mac.

i went back and looked and found i had swapped cables! EEK...odd though, that the raw command from the command line knew which drive was which?...Kept here for posterity just in case you were wondering what i wasted bandwidth on...Moderated please feel free to delete whole thing if you wish i hope someone can help me because i'm confused.i decided to salvage the old superdrive from my old G5 macpro and install it into the 2nd optical drive bay (lower) of my new mac pro.problem is, even though i don't think i swapped anything, the EJECT key now defaults to the lower optical drawer when it deafulted to the upper optical bay with the 2nd drive not installed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSince downloading the newest version of OS Lion (currently using version 10.7.3) when I use the trackpad on my MacBook Pro if I use two fingers and drag down that now makes the screen image scroll up and vice versa. Does anyone else have this problem? It feels backwards to me and is the opposite of how I used to use two fingers to scroll upd/down before upgrading this afternoon.

Why is it that I have songs sorted in a certain order (tracks 1 to 10 for instance) and on my iphone, they're in reverse from 10 to 1. I double checked playlist on iTunes and re-synced. Same thing. Is there a fix for this?

I have a MacBook with built in webcam, external webcam, and iChat. Next to everyone who has a Mac on iChat is the green box, but there is a phone icon rather than a video icon.
Video chats used to work, but suddenly they stopped. Clicking the green icon next to my name on top opens a box that days "My Build-in iSight" and I can see myself in that webcam, but can not make video chats. How can I fix this?

It is connected to Thunderbolt port via DVI.Today I connected the MBP to a Sony TV using Thunderbolt port via HDMI, which worked. When I switched back to the external HP monitor, colors were reversed on the HP monitor (you can read the contents but the colors are mostly green and pink). The MBP internal monitor displays correctly. I've tried rebooting the computer, resetting the HP monitor to factory settings, and deleting the HP monitor profile. No change.

Anyway, I thought if I was able to take a screenshot of my screen every 5 seconds and a shot of myself (through my webcam on my MacBook Pro), then put it into a video, she would be able to see exactly what i do and it would stop her complaining!

So the question is can I somehow convert my Windows XP VM into a bootable Boot Camp partition? I tried copying the files of my VM into the Boot Camp partition, but when booting I get an error that it is not a bootable volume.

I know on their website it says that this webcam is not officially supported by the Mac OS. However I am wondering if there is anyway I could make it work. I would be using it for Facetime, Skype, and Photobooth. I read that you can run the Webcam in UVC mode, but I'm not sure if these applications will still work with it.
