I have tried iChat but my family aren't Mac user so no to that.
I tried Skype but it has 3 conference and no to 3 way webcam...
We tried MSN but I have MSN for Mac and they have windows... so for some stupid reason the feature doesn't support the WebCam Chatting...
Is there any way to do this?? All we want is 3 way Web Cam Chat!
My fiancee got her first mac, a mbp, today and we are struggling with finding a chat client that she can use on the mac and that i can use on my pc that will allow for video calls/webcams between us. Can anyone recommend me a good client that we can use?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a mini i7 with a Logitech HD Pro webcam. The person at the other end gets a bad echo of themselves when video chatting. The issue is on my side, not theirs. Tried face time and google talk. Even tried two different web cams. My wife's iMac has a check box to "use ambient noise reduction" my mac mini doesn't have that option. How can I fix this. Surly there are mac mini owners using webcams?

On websites that use flash player for video chat I just can't send my video stream trough my external usb Ligitech webcam.
The situation is: when opening the Adobe Flash Player settings menu-video-select I tend to send webcam video I only have the option of sending trough the "USB video class video": the isight built-in webcam of my MacBook and don't have my Logitech webcam on the list.
The fact is: I have an external usb webcam (Logitech and works with mac) and the Flash Player video options don't allow me to choose the Logitech webcam instead of the iSight buil-in webcam.
Do you have or know any solution/add on/software to my problem? I'm getting crazy with that! I just wanna tell to my MacBook to run always the Logitech webcam instead of the iSigth built-in webcam when I'm on websites that use Flash Player for video chat.
I have successfully managed to integrate facebook chat in iChat. However, I was wondering whether it is possible to video chat with through facebook chat provided both people are using iChat. Does anyone know if this works?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed MS messenger 8.0 on my MacBook and the only problem so far is audio.
When I make a call to one of my contact's computer using my internal microphone and internal speakers everything is fine.
If I switch to my bluetooth headset in System Preferences and retry the call I can not hear them and they can not hear me.
Using the bluetooth headset for Skype calls works fine.
Is this a messenger issue or ??????
Ok so today I was on my computer and I noticed on my Xchat Aqua IRC client I kept disconnecting on one of the servers I was on. I checked my internet thinking it was my ISP dropping and it was running fine. I checked my computer and it was ok because I had AIM msn and all that running. So i get on my other computer and use a browser based IRC client to see if it does it there and when my xchat disconnected I didnt disconnect on the browser. I then noticed.. there was a $%&%$# who must have found an exploit threw DCC for xchat because he was typeing things like "DCC send tralala 0 0 0" and I would disconnect.
So my question is did anyone know about this or know how to fix it? because its really annoying and I cant find anything to stop him.
How to my video chats look better? Right now, they're blurry and choppy even with only one person: Can it even be increased with that?

I sort of need a program like OoVoO but I do not want to pay for a multicam chat. I do not want a website one either. I want one that is downloadable for both MAC AND PC and it needs to support multi webcam at one time. Do not say Skype because i do not like skype. Can somebody find m e one?

I have friends and family overseas who use msn to chat and are using a PC. I have a Macbook, so how can I video chat with them. What options are available if any. I tried mercury messenger, the text chat is working but video does not work, when they send me invite for video or I send them invite it tried to connect to server but we can't see each other.

1. My work clients are scattered across AIM, Yahoo, and MSN, so it's nice to have one application that can communicate with all of them.
2. I like being able to customize the look and feel of the interface
That being said, lately I've become very frustrated because I can't seem to get Adium to play nicely with Leopard's Spaces. I have Adium set (both in Spaces and in Adium) to be visible on all spaces. Yet if a chat is opened, for instance, in Space 3 and mid-chat I decide to switch to Space 4, the chat window doesn't come along for the ride. Likewise, if during a lull in the chat, I switch between several different spaces and lose track of where the chat window was last seen, I can't locate it by hitting F8 and showing all spaces. The chat window doesn't appear on any of them. The only way I can find the chat window is by methodically going to each space until I discover the truant.
I've noticed that I have to turn off Internet Sharing in order to video chat with my friends on iChat AV 4.0.3. Is there anyway possible that I don't have to always turn off Internet Sharing to have video chats? Regular text chatting works fine when Internet Sharing is turned on, but not video chat.

All I can see in the video box is the moving image of myself. Audio is also functioning perfectly. Is there anything I can troubleshoot to fix this problem? It's becoming a bit annoying.
View 1 Replies View Relatedin tiger, whenever iChat was launched, it asked for a username and password but now in leopard, when iChat is launched it automatically logs into my account. multiple people use iChat on my computer and i just want to know if in leopard there is a setting to bring up that box that asks for sn and password like in tiger and panther. i've been messing with the preferences and i cant find anything.
Every time I hit enter in a chat window, it sends the message then deselects the chat window area, so when I start typing again nothing appears until I click on the text area.I did just install Safari 4 beta, but surely that hasn't done this...?

The only settings for audio is just for when signing in but there's no option to shut off any other sound effects.

I found where my logs from Adium are kept: but the files are .XML and I don't know what to use to open it. Also I want to be able to send these files to a friend. My friend is using a PC so what should I tell them to open it with?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a MacBook with built in webcam, external webcam, and iChat. Next to everyone who has a Mac on iChat is the green box, but there is a phone icon rather than a video icon.
Video chats used to work, but suddenly they stopped. Clicking the green icon next to my name on top opens a box that days "My Build-in iSight" and I can see myself in that webcam, but can not make video chats. How can I fix this?
