I have a PDF document with 33 pages. I need to print this out, but what I want to do is have two pages print next to each other on one piece of paper. I tried looking around in Preview, but didn't find anything that would let me do this. Is there any way?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been lookin online for a few weeks now but haven't had much success - so I'm asking the MR small business owners out there what they use to run their business. I don't know if there is a software piece out there, but I want to do the following:
- keep a record of customers
- track income/expenses
- create invoices
- track billable hours
- track mileage
Right now I'm using a combo of Pages/Numbers to do all this, but with a growing customer base I'd like a more all in one solution that doesn't cost the earth. I'm starting to get files all over the place, and tryingto remember which invoice number I used last so I can type it into a new invoice is getting annoying.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen copying a table from say a webpage or even a RTF file, Pages does not retain its table formatting. Instead it separates the rows and columns and puts them on separate lines.
See it for yourself, try copying one of the tables on this page into Pages [URL]
The only way I can get the table into Pages is to paste into NeoOffice (which retains the correct formating), save the file with the .doc extension then open in Pages.
I need to open a few Pages files but I don't have Pages installed on this computer. I understand you can convert Pages files to .doc or .pdf within the application, but unfortunately I won't have access to the computer with the program installed for a while.
Is there some sort of (free) converter that can convert .pages files to .doc or .pdf or even .rtf?
Or even better, a document creator/viewer than can open .pages files?
I'm wondering if there's a way to eliminate the visual break in-between pages in Pages '09 (see screenshot). I'd prefer maybe a subtle dotted line indicating a different page, not a 5-inch gap.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create pages that have all black backgrounds. I've been doing this by using the Shapes tool, choosing a rectangle, filling in the entire white space for the page, which is 8x11, and then filling in with black.
The problem is that when I do this, Pages seems to think that I want this page and the following page to be connected, in some way. When I look at the two pages in the thumnail view, the yellow outline is around both pages, rather than each individually.
Anybody know how to keep this from happening. Or the right way to create full black backgrounds for pages in Pages?
So I was cleaning off my new Macbook Pro (a month old) the other day and noticed one spot wouldn't clean, I figured it may have been something stuck on there so I tried a little harder with no luck. I must of missed it, but there's a little piece of white dust (about 1px or so in size) behind the glass . I'm going to try to ignore it, but it's a little hard when you're as OCD about your electronics as I am, whenever I turn on my Mac it seems that my eyes drift over there. It isn't even that bad in my opinion, when I sit at a normal distance it's nearly unnoticeable, it's only when I look for it that I can see it.

I'm sure you've all experienced this (if not then you don't have a unibody macbook pro, lol). I've had about 8 unibodies both 15" and 13" and the light grease fro the keys occasionally gets transfered to the screen in the shape of keys, and I've seen many people talk about a little piece of fabric (looks just like the screen cloth) they place over the keyboard to prevent this from happening. Anyone have an eBay or another online link to something like this? I think keyboard covers are silly, so just looking for the fabric solution.

Also, do any of you guys know of a non matte fingerprint resistant screen protector? I looked into it a little bit more. Turns out it might be a dead pixel. I have applecare. I was wondering what they will do. Will they replace my screen, give me a refurbished 09 model, or give me a brand new computer?

Picked up a G3 the blue one piece at a garage sale, Had 9.01 on it......just got it up to 9.2.2 it only has 128mb of ram and I found another 128mb stick laying around from an old pc I had. how many memory slots this thing has? The picture tube is so darn big, I can't see the guts of the G3. Guess I'll have to open it to see.Â

The little white plastic doohickey that opens the battery compartment on my laptop (powerbook g4, I thinks) has broken off and now I can't open the battery compartment.I'm trying to find out if my battery has the appropriate serial number for the recall, but I can't open the battery compartment. Plus, the battery no longer works at all, so I have to use the AC adapter if I want to use the laptop at all--NOT GOOD!Does anyone know if this dumb little piece of plastic can be replaced, and if so how? Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I have been unable to print borderless documents from Pages.app onto plain A4 paper using my Epson R2400. Under page setup, I select A4 > Borderless Sheet Feeder but then under the print window, the option to print on plain paper is greyed out:
If I go back to page setup and change the paper size to non-borderless (e.g. standard A4) I do have the option to print onto plain paper. But of course I loose the borderless printing.
The problem with using the Premium Matte Paper setting for printing borderless is that the printouts are very saturated - obviously the printer is putting down far more ink than required. I am printing onto 350 GSM card and have used this paper for a couple of years with excellent results. Traditionally I was just printing borderless with the plain paper option ticked and the results were perfect.
I followed some advice on the internet on another forum after updating to Snow Leopard and downloaded Printer Driver v6.57 for my printer. I'm told this is the most up-to-date driver currently available and was released in June. But this does not seem to fix my printing issue and the Gutenprint drivers don't seem to support borderless printing on the R2400 either.
I've phoned Epson twice now but their support is hopeless. The first time they emailed me a link to download updated drivers, but this link started downloading a .exe file which evidently was not Mac compatible. The second time I phoned I was past between assistants for a while before receiving the textbook "revert back to Leopard or wait to see if Apple fix the problem in an update" answer.
Are there any R2400 users or others with the same problem or got any solutions? My research on the internet hasn't turned up much other than a similar issue with some Canon printers.

I have an Epson and a Canon inkjet printer connected to my Macs, and I am trying to find profiles for different inkjet papers that I can add to the printers so that they will print correctly on the papers.
The available paper types listed in the printing options are very limited and don't include options even for the range of papers sold by the printer manufacturer.

Its really annoying when you forget to change it when printing a list in a hurry! On this, Address Book 'Help' is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

I'm looking for good, low-cost software that can turn my scanned paper into searchable PDF, Word, or other documents. As you know most of the software that comes with a printer is limited and really can not perform searches on documents.
I'm new to the Mac world so I am just learning about the software, In the windows world there is a software package-Nuance PDF Converter Pro that does a very good job. however they do not have aMac version.
a couple days ago my superdrive literally sucked the paper label off a homemade mix CD.
The CD itself came out without any problem but the label is still stuck in my superdrive.
Having updated to 10.5.7, Calculator no longer displays Paper Tape on my G4. Funnily enough, Save Tape As... still appears in the File Menu.
Okay restarted and it is back, whew! Wish Show Paper Tape were a preference that could be saved, half the time Calculator launches without it, though I never uncheck it.
