Does anyone know of a shortcut for saving image in a web browser such as Firefox, Safari, or Opera?
I'm talking about saving multiple (but not all) pictures on a web page without having to Control-Click and select "Save Image As" for every picture.
Is there no such thing?
does anyone know of a way (plugin or otherwise) to view pdf files in the camino browser without having to save them or open preview? i know about the pdfbrowser plugin, but that's for PPC only. ideally, i'm looking for something that will mimic safari pdf functionality... that's like the only reason i still sometimes use safari!

Previously, when I used the built-in screen capture utility (Command+Shift+3 (or 4)) the capture would be saved in .png format into my "Desktop" directory. Now, when I do captures the data is not saved to a file, but instead is copied to my clipboard. Why and how can I correct this?

Since I bought this machine I cant see some images in any browser (safari, chrome, firefox) in some websites. I have tried in different machines and the images in these websites are there but in my computer the images links appera as broken and it becomes anoying. I have cleared the cache memory, erased history, cookies and nothing seem to work.
This is my business website and I cant see the logo on the top left or the cart image in the top right. This is what I see using chrome safari or firefox [URL] ....

When I login to my Facebook, it wouldn't load any images, where it will all be blank..Also, few web pages are not loading in Safari, whereas it loads well in other browsers.. I am using Macbook Pro.. Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4.. Safari Veersion 5.1.7.. Has anyone faced this issue ??

I've noticed that finder, automatically saves unnecessary spam images and mixes them in with my important images, is there someway of either adding a spam label, to them, so they end up in another folder, or completely stopping the saving process entirely?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a jpg (not a jpeg) from a mac via email it wont open in either outlook or picture viewer etc (win xp). But if the same image is sent to any other PC (from the ma user) it opens OK.The added twist. If another pc user opens (which it does with no issues) then closes and sends back to the failing pc it opens with no issues!
I tried moving the applications shortcut from the left side fo the finder window to my dock so I can access my applications with one click, and it went up in smoke, gone, can't undo.
So I have 2 questions, first how do I get the Application icon back in my finder and how do I create a shortcut to it on my doc?
How I can add a shortcut to any application in the menu bar?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm on a new MacBook Pro at work - came with OS X.4 and an upgrade install disc to Leopard... Safari 3 will NOT save any of my passwords. I continually choose "yes" every time I visit the sites that I want to use this feature for (i.e. project management panel at work), but no luck. Well, not EXACTLY true, on a (very) RARE occasion - Safari will save a username, but still NOT the accompanying password. I've found 2 threads on this same issue on Apple's Support Knowledgebase, there's still no solution from them on this: [URL]
Is anyone else out there having this issue? If so, I'm urging you to post on the thread so Apple will resolve this. I'm in the web design biz, so I am frequenty visiting sites that require login credentials. I'd switch to another browser, but, well - no I won't. I love Safari too much. I had a trial for MobileMe for a while, and recently I stopped the trial as it was coming to its end. Once it was cancelled, I started to notice that cookies weren't saving anymore within Safari, and I've tried everything to re-enable them. It's crap because every-time I go to a site (such as these forums) I've gotta enter my login info. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I think it's still looking for the cloud bookmarks, and yes, I have gone into the system prefs and removed my mobileme info, and I've also made sure that in the Safari prefs that the option "sync bookmarks with mobileme" is also unchecked, yet my cookies aren't saving or anything. Not sure if it's related to mobile me though.

In windows you click "save as" then drill down to find the folder you want to save the file in. However, I have just started working in a group where all the other members use Windows with Office 2007. I have been able to save my numbers (and pages) documents as the office equivalent. My problem lies when I am working on a document in numbers that is the office format. I like to continuously save my progress but whenever i press save, I have to save it as a whole new document or replace the existing one. When I used to work in office 2007 I used to just press save every now and then and it would save my changes. Am I doing something wrong or is it because I am working on an excel spreadsheet in numbers (word document in pages)?

If you select some text in browser url bar and press Cntrl+L then the text will be shortly highlighted. It looks very similar to the keyword highlighting during search trough web pages. Take a look on short screencast and you will get what I mean � on my blog (in russian) or youtube.
Such yellow few seconds highlighting happens also in Google search bar of Safari, in TextEdit and so on. Interesting is that the Control+L shortcut disapear in Safari 4.0 Preview.
I have no idea what is the reason to use this shortcut. Is it programmers error? Easter egg?
Is anyone else getting this problem? When I hit Command+S in a worksheet, Excel unexpectedly quits. Very frustrating as backing up is kind of a problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have all my music on my external Hard Drive and I direct iTunes to that.Consequently I can only listen to music when the external HD is on, which is fine. So here's my Question. If/When I drop new music into iTunes while the external HD on, how can I be sure it's copying to the external HD? I just dropped some new music into iTunes, and then when into the iTunes folder in the external HD, and it doesn't seem to be there. Do I have to set something up in iTunes Preferences? (cause I can't seem to find it!)

I use iPhoto 09 and Snow Leopard and I see the de-noise feature in the adjust button. I use this, and it shows the change, but when I click done and export, the change is not saved.
I've seen a similar request posted a couple times, but have had no luck on those threads finding the solution to my problem. I would like to write an AppleScript that would save an attachment (a .txt file) from Mail to my desktop. (Then in turn, I will make a rule in Mail that will run this script when certain conditions are met in the email). I'm sure it's probably very simple, but I have been playing around with the script editor for a few hours now and still can't figure it out. Needless to say, I am new to scripting.

For example: Address book shows for a contact name. when I replace it with their real name and de-press the edit button, close out of the application and restart, none of my changes are saved.
1 - I have a gmail account that I'm using MacMail for. I have 2 other email addresses that were already being forwarded to gmail. On gmail web browser, I had the setting such that if someone emailed to my Email #2, then when I reply, it would automatically go out from Email #2 (even if Email #1 is the gmail address). Is there a way to do this on the MacMail as well?? right now, all my outgoing messages are being sent from my gmail address
2 - When I am writing an email, it seems to save my email drafts along the way. So I have like 5 drafts (all from different stages) in addition to the final message that I send off. On MacMail, the incomplete drafts all get sent to trash. On gmail web browser, however, all 5 drafts show up as part of the email "thread"! The incomplete versions don't get sent to the recepient, right? Is there a way to turn this off?
