I'm running 10.5.2 on a MB Pro. Previously, when I used the built-in screen capture utility (Command+Shift+3 (or 4)) the capture would be saved in .png format into my "Desktop" directory. Now, when I do captures the data is not saved to a file, but instead is copied to my clipboard. Why and how can I correct this?

I am using os x 10.4.11, I never had problem before but a couple days ago an error message start appearing every time I copy something to clipboard which is "An error occurred while saving." though I was not trying to save anything.

iMac g5 1.9 ghz 17" running 10.5.8. Had a hard drive crash and bought a new one. Loaded new OS leapord. Everything works fine at first, but after the computer has been on for a while, it will stop downlading files, disk verify doesn't work. I can't copy and paste stuff. It seems as if the hard drive is full, but I have only used 32GB of 300GB.
When I restart, it works again, then slowly not. Is it an overheating issue? How do I know if my fan is running? Is it a bad hard drive I put in it? Bought it new with three year waranty.
i was trying to get a screen capture of an issue with itunes when previewing tv shows/movies..etc but it appears you can no longer take screen caps of iTunes movies/tv shows (well ones you didnt import yourself).... or is there a work around?

I have deleted the photos off my camera manually and wanted to change it to shoot in RAW but then when i connected it back up to upload using 'Image Capture', the old image files show up as missing, and the new ones not at all so i changed back to jpeg format, but the problem wont go away
it seems like its saved the old image info in a cache or something can i wipe it clean and start over some way?
is there built in or 3rd party software that will allow me to attach my digital camera to my MBP via USB and control and capture images to the MBP using the attached camera?

Control Shift Command 4 copies a picture of screen selection to the clipboard. The command works to paste the picture in any program except Mail. Paste does nothing. Is this a bug in Mail? Using SL on MacBook Pro.

I started up again and attached another screen, the image was normal on both screens. But alone the iMac still starts up with the pixelated screen.

Actually, when you make a real screen capture, the screen doesn't wink, but that's the impression I get. The screen doesn't flicker or flash like it's a hardware bad connection, but goes through a fast, but continuous normal-white-normal cycle. I'm looking at my activity monitor to see if something is unusual, but I can't tell. Everything I look up seems to be real.

Out of the blue 'shift+Command+3', and 'shift+command+4' are not working. I can hear the camera clicking sound and a .png is saved on the desktop but it is always a stripy image.

I have tried both "Capture Me" and "Copernicus", but I had issues with both. When I try to take rapid fire screen captures (5-7 caps/sec) using the shortcut keys, only a 3-4 of these captures will show up on the desktop, and it generally takes 5-7 seconds for them to call show up. I never had a problem doing this until I reformatted/reinstalled snow leopard over the weekend - even when all programs are shut down this lag occurs.
