I downloaded it off the Apple website year or so ago, and it had effects like these:
Now, they seem to have updated the effects and these have been replaced by duller, not so good ones! Anyone know where I can get the originals?
I already downloaded the "moreichateffects" one. but are there any other ones??
Also, how do I use the "drag background here" effect? I don't get it.
Can somebody direct me to a good tutorial of how to install .qtz effects for iChat(Leopard)/Photo Booth? I got one installed by dragging it into /Library/Compositions, but when I drag another into it, it overrides the previous one. I did a little searching and found nothing.

The reason why it's a dick head move was because I didn't realize that the effects was for photo booth 2.1.1 and I'm running 3.0.2. Now my default effect quality is terrible and you cant hardly take a "good" picture. Is there any way I can remove the new effects and get my regular back to the way it is suppose to be?

An example of one would be Cartoonize Me for the iPhone and iPod Touch by Portegno Apps; I'd like one for the computer. Being the picky person I am, I'd really like it to be free and for Mac OS X (10.5.5 is my OS). It'd be fine if it's an online or download, as long as it gets the job done.

I have downloaded loads of new effects for photo booth and then was looking for some more and the single qtz files which are placed in the Library/Compositions folder show up as a grey screen (see attachment) in the preview but are fine when you click on them. So does anyone know how I can get the preview of these to show up, or even to paste a picture in the box?! Also, does anyone know where I can download some single qtz files to add to photo booth as well?

The only settings for audio is just for when signing in but there's no option to shut off any other sound effects.

Well with the release of OS 10.6.2, The crashing seems to not occur anymore. However, Now when I take a picture with some (not all) effects, the saved pictured will come out in an almost inverted color. For example, my skin tone will come out dark as opposed to light.s?

I get these clips from a game called "runescape". Here is a video of something that I am trying to do, keep in mind I want it much better though. Please look at the first part of the video with the red lines coming out of the name.

2. movie converting:
my screen capture software is IShowU, it saves the files as a .mov, I have heard that you need .avi or .mp4 to edit videos. I have a program called "Xilisoft Video Converter".
1. Add videos to the list
2. I select "AVI - Audio-Video Interleaved as the profile (output)
3. I select a custom quality of 9999
Every movie converter I use lowers the quality of my video which is really, the method I use in the program I said above this is as close as I can get to the original video.
I got my new Macbook Air today, and I downloaded some effects off of Apple and then also some from Cateye. But for some of the rainbow-y colored ones, the picture turns out inverted? This includes: Magicball, Coloido, Christmas, Tryptamine, Retro: Trippy, Retro: Rainbow Tee (my favorite!), Ocean, City Lights, etc. At first I thought this was a problem from the site I downloaded it from, but then I downloaded two sets from two different sites and both sets have effecs with this weird inverted-glitch.

When I select available for my status I get a message saying "An unidentified AIM socket error has occurred". How do I fix this problem? I tried logging in using AIM on Windows Vista and it works fine so there is nothing wrong with my account. Also, I have deleted my aim account from ichat and re-addng it and I still get the same error.

I need to reinstall ichat after I uninstalled it from my 10.5.5 macbook (black) with OS X (panther). I do not have my cd's, lost them somewhere and I can't find any instructions online on how to reinstall my ichat without the CD.

Now I'd like to add an AIM account. When I click on "Get an iChat Account..." in the Account Setup window,It was my understanding that this signup gets you an AIM account, but it from the first line on the page, it seems to assume that you're using .Mac (even more oddly, since .Mac doesn't actually exist any longer).What am I missing here? Aren't AIM, MobileMe and .Mac accounts the same for purposes of iChat?

Video chats used to work, but suddenly they stopped. Clicking the green icon next to my name on top opens a box that days "My Build-in iSight" and I can see myself in that webcam, but can not make video chats. How can I fix this?
I made a aim account last year. I had no problem with it until yesterday when i couldn't log in. I thought it was nothing so I waited awhile but still nothing. it says "could not connect to Aim" and under it said "none." I really want to talk to my friends but I can't.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was away from my computer for a day and when I returned I had an IM from a Screen Name that has been harassing me for a couple of months. They keep trying to video chat me or IM me, but I never answer. When I returned to my computer this morning, there was an IM that I opened and was finally going to say something to the person, but when I opened it, there was a couple of messages saying that they have downloaded all of my information and passwords and files. I am going to attach a photo so you can see. It looks a little fishy. I called Apple and they have never seen it. There are no articles about anything like it on google. The persons SN is bolded which is odd since usually when iChat tells you if someone has signed off or on, the SN is not in bold. Also iChat never gives warning messages like these. I feel like it is some script for iChat that someone started using. If not and someone has in fact hacked my system, which I don't believe someone can do through iChat, can someone let me know what to do. Also if they hacked my system some other way, I don't see why iChat would warn me about it and not something else in the computer.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen using iChat it says in preferences under the video tab that there is no camera attached to the computer. It has as you know the built in web cam, this does work with Photo Booth and some other chat clients.
how to get it working with iChat?
What am I missing here?
