Applications :: How To Upload From IPhoto To Snapfish
Nov 14, 2007
When I log in to Snapfish and click to upload photos it only allows me to choose from photos that are in my pictures folder or other folders on the hard drive. It does not allow me choose pictures to upload from iPhoto?
It's remarkably annoying...if I want to upload photos onto my flickr account, I have to move all my iPhoto pics into a picture folder first, and then upload it from there.
Is there any way I can just click upload and browse through and choose my photos straight from iPhoto?
I'm new on these forums so I don't really know how to navigate my way around. This is my first mac ever (macbook pro 13) and I've had it for several months.
How do I upload pics from a sony digital camera (cybershot, about a year old)? I figured it would automatically detect the camera and get going, but nothing is really happening. Its probably really simple, but I have never done it before.
Not sure what the deal is, but whenever I attempt to use the built in facebook uploader to upload some photos to facebook, I get error messages. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a built in facebook uploader if i have to export to desktop and use Facebook's tools.
I am very disappointed to find that iPhoto only uploads photos to Facebook & Flickr in complete sets. I was really looking forward to this feature as I use both websites regularly, and assumed I would be able to upload just one picture, and choose what album I would add that photo to online. But no, iPhoto needs me to have an entirely new Flickr album matching an entire iPhoto event.
When I try to upload photos to Facebook I get the "Set Up" window. I log in to my account and once it is on it tells me to close the window and go back to the application, but then it will ask me again to "Set Up" the account. It will continue doing this forever.
I have a Samsung external drive from which I can play and view these small discs that are not compatable with iMac. I need to upload from these discs to a New Project or a New Event in iMovie. I cannot figure a way to upload for editing and produce a finished movie. My iMac forced me to get a Canon HF-R100 camcorder with an SD card for the iMac SD slot.
I normally just drag from iPhoto to desktop, then when the web asks to "upload file" I just nav to desktop and upload, then delete.
My buddy just switched from PC and is trying to delve into the iphoto library to find the files and upload which is about to make him pull his hair out.
i have just purchased a MacBook with OS X 10.6 installed on the system. I really want to upload the App iPhoto to use. It is compatible with this system.I have read that it will not work on any system before OS X 10.6.6 I assume my system is before that and therefore i can not purchase this app???
Is it possible to upload all the pictures in my iphoto library to the cloud ? If I can do that, can I delete the pictures from my Mac (is the cloud will store the pictures) ? Then, how can acess these pictures ?
I currently have iPhoto '09 version 8.1.2. I tried uploading pictures from iPhoto to Facebook but I get the message "An error has occured. Please try again later". File > Export > Login (which brings me to the Login page on Facebook) > I sign in & that's when I get the message. I've even tried hitting the Facebook tab on the bottom right. Does anyone have any solutions to my problem?
My iPhoto is empty, however when trying to upload some photos from an SD card, I get the message, "Insufficient Disk Space. iPhoto cannot upload your photos because there is not enough disk space in the volume containing your iPhoto library."
I have about 20 hours of low res digicam videos sitting in iphoto. When I launch Imovie, it loads all 20 hours without asking then proceeds to quit unexpectedly if I try to do anything. Is there a way to prevent iphoto from loading all of them without deleting the videos from my iPhoto library? I have about a 30 minute video I would like to edit I'm frustrated. How about removing all those clips except the ones I care about? Can I do that? (after waiting 20-30 minutes for them to load)
Thought I'd start this thread for people to discover/add any info they have on what iPhoto Faces is doing behind the scenes to help with troubleshooting, since Apple doesn't have any preferences for Faces in the iPhoto GUI. This is only for people who like to understand what is happening behind the scenes. Please note this is not for everyone and anytime you do anything to your iPhoto library you risk corruption and should have a backup copy. What I've noticed so far:
- iPhoto scans the library the first time it opens, and creates 2 faces .db files with the iPhoto Library:
face_blob.db face.db
- iPhoto creates Faces thumbnails files and places them in the iPhoto Library/Data folder along with the other thumbnails it creates................
I am transferring info from an iBook G4 running Tiger to a MacBook running Snow Leopard. Everything is going well, except for my ability to transfer the iPhoto library. I have mounted the iBook to the MacBook via Firewire. When I transferred my iPhoto library from my MB to my new MBP, it was easy: all I had to do was drag over "iPhoto Library" from User>Pictures>iPhoto Library But it isn't set up the same way on the iBook: in User>Pictures, "iPhoto Library" is a folder instead of a small iPhoto icon (which you would need to right-click on to see its contents). When I copied the contents of the folder into "iPhoto Library" on the new MacBook, it didn't maintain all of the organization (eg. the albums). Is there any way to do this so that iPhoto will keep the organization of the photo library on the new MacBook, or am I destined to reorganize my thousands of photos into albums again? Please keep in mind that the MacBook is being set up as a new computer, and I am copying over the files/docs/music/photos that she wants to keep from the iBook. I am not using Migration Assistant.
Just looking for opinions on the best software used to compress high quality video for uploading to web. I'd like to make my videos smaller in size but maintain a decent quality to the picture. I'm certain there's a thread on here somewhere, but can't seem to find it.
PS. I am running Snow Leopard (so I have quicktime), also have Final Cut Express. I know there's a free program out there I thought for doing this type of thing but can't recall the name of it?
I cannot upload the applications disk onto my macbook pro. When i insert the disk follow the instructions as far inputting the password to allow access and then the screen comes up with installation failed contact apple. Bought last June from apple. Have already needed new hard drive.
I know it has YouTube support, but can you it directly export true HD videos at 720p? I know that it has high-quality settings. And if it doesn't .. is this something that can be changed with a patch or update to iMovie or would it have to wait until iMovie '10?
