View 4 RepliesSo I have a google apps account with domain name. I have created a page in iweb and exported this to a folder. Is there anyway I can upload my created single page to my google apps domain name and bypass the crappy google apps page creator. I am sure that there is some way to do it under the godaddy.com domain registration panel, but I don't know how.

How to move an iWeb site previously published to MobileMe to another web hosting service I'm trying to publish my new website and am not succeeding.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a website for a family friend a few years ago using iWeb.Today I have received an anxious email from them saying the site is down.It is obviously to do with the move from .me to iCloud!I don't have the old computer which the site was made on. And don't have any files of the site on my computer. Where and how can I access the website files since the move from .me to iCloud as a matter of urgency? I'm not seeing any option in iCloud to view or see any files at all.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhat about the special features iWeb provides concerning the blogs. I think they cannot be used by others providers (type of presentation, archives, comments, glossy effects) ? Could we hope in any nice update of iCloud, allowing the publication of iWeb websites?

Any suggestions for who to use as a host? I have only used apple servers so don't know the first thing about finding a host. I leave on an expedition in a couple of days, so I need to do this quickly so that I don't have any down time on my site.

With MobileMe going away, lost will be my Gallery, iWeb Site and iDisk. These were great features, they made it very easy to use. I've never had an outside web publishing service before and not looking forward to finding one. It seems to me that the iCloud features and very basic in comparisson and a real step backward.

I own my own my own domain name in which I bought through Genesis Domains. I have my own personal iWeb page published using MobileMe. Apple's instructions on transferring my page does not help me. I'm pretty oblivious when it comes to knowing what hosting and a server is. And until I one day upgrade to a machine with Lion, I'm stuck with MobileMe, or what is left of it. I have links to my MobileMe galleries through my iWeb pages. I know the galleries are going away too. Is there a way people can still look at my photo albums when they are at my website?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy old MB got attacked by some tea and died. So now i have a new unibody although the main thing that i have lost from my old MB is my iWeb pages.
I have mobile me, and have the site published to that. How can i download the site to my MB in iWeb format? Iv tried downloading them as HTML but iWeb can't open them.
Here's my situation:I created a site using iWeb '08. Many months passed and I wasn't doing anything with that particular site any longer, so I nuked the pages within iWeb and have since worked on new projects. Now I need to do some work on that old site again.I have all of the created content in a folder that had been stored on my server, but I have nary a clue how to get it all back into iWeb again.
View 2 Replies View Related"Once your site is saved to the folder, you can upload it to the FTP server with an FTP publishing application." This is what i was afraid of. What does this mean? Where is an article that tells me EXACTLY what to do to keep my website running after mobile me goes away? This article tells me nothing. (i have an older version of iWeb) All i want from Apple is an easy, step by step, list of instructions to help me keep my website running

I accidentally double-clicked on a file named "Domain" which was really a backup file of my Site. My problem is that I had backed up my site a long time ago, after which I have made many changes. Now when I open IWeb it takes me back to the original days of the site. I still have the desired folder in "Sites", but can seem to get in onto IWeb. Is there any way to put my latest site back onto IWeb? I haven't setup time machine, I publish using Easy IWeb Publisher, I don't have have a Mobileme account.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a site that I made with iWeb on my iMac. Now I have a second Mac, a Mini, and I am trying to use it to work on my site but I can't figure out how to access the current site with iWeb. All it seems to want to do is create new sites. My site is saved to the "Sites" folder on my hard drive, and uploaded to my MobileMe space. Yet there doesn't seem to be any way to open the site, from either location, with iWeb on the Mini.
View 7 Replies View Relatedjust got a new Mac Pro and I need to transfer my iWeb site over, but am having absolutely no luck doing so. The older iWeb site was created on iWeb 2.0 and is uploaded to my MobileMe account and everything.
In the process of making an iweb site, still alot to do though. Uploaded what i have done so far and have run into a problem when viewing it on my sisters windows computer at work. The page in question is: [URL] The flash window on the left that displays the panoramic looks fine on my laptop with Safari and Firefox, though on my sisters Windows (whom most of my audience will be viewing with) the flash box only comes down to 3/4s of its propper size, exposing the shape i have placed behind it to act as a border. Does anyone have any idea on what may be causing this and maybe a solution? Could it actually be a problem with my sisters work computer?!
View 4 Replies View RelatedLong story short. Don't try to reformat your Mac when you are drunk, and accidentally delete your external drive with your time machine backup! I have my website published to my webhosting.. I downloaded the contents back to a folder. How do I import that website back into iWeb app to continue working on it... I tried to find the root folder to where iWeb stores your saved site.. But cant seem to find it!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to move my iWeb website from my tower to my Powerbook, but be able to move it back later.
It makes more sense to have it on the PowerBook sometimes, so I can write blog pages and make minor updates on-the-go.
I'd also like to be able to move it back to my tower so when I want to use the media browser for larger (though less frequent) updates that involve pulling photos from iPhoto, or tunes from iTunes, I can do that easily.
So.. what do I need to grab off the tower to make sure I've got everything so I can open and work on it on my PowerBoook?
I created my website in iWeb '08 about a year ago and it's finally time to update it, but I'm running into a few problems.First, I'm using a new computer now, although I transferred all of the files from one HD to the other. When I go to open iWeb on my MacBook, I can't access my old site. I never worked on my site from my new computer, but I have all the files. I have the actual files (such as .jpgs and mp3s) in an organized folder. The website itself and all the information is in the folder that I upload via FTP to my server. How do I get to open all of those in iWeb so that I can edit the site?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have created a website using my iWeb application, but I cannot figure out how to get it up and running through my host. I have an account with justhost.com, and they claim it is an easy process to get iWeb sites online through them, but I have tried and still can't figure it out.
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy MBP's hard drive just died. Disk Repair, DiskWarrior, and Disk Utility all agree my apple partition is screwed and unmountable.
I've been able to get it temporarily so that i can boot via an external drive. This is not my issue, my issue is that I have been working on a website for a company. It's been published and everything. My problem is that now that I lost the original files, am I going to be unable to edit it via iweb?
I have 5 days or so until my disk makes it to me (yeah, I'm overseas in an area without an apple store or service center to take my mac to), so I guess I'll find out for myself then.
This only started happening recently, ever since I added a personal domain. I still host on mobile me, but I just use godaddy for my domain name.
Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix for this? because It takes entirely too long to upload my entire site every single time I make any 1 change.
And yes, for the record I am choosing the option "Publish site changes" NOT "Publish Entire site"
I had used a separate FTP client until '09 came out but I have been having problems lately getting iWeb to connect. Can anyone suggest a good FTP client? Preferably free. The one I used before, you just dragged the folder onto the icon on the dock and it took it from there.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHow do I add one of these to my iweb site? In as simple terms as possible! And please don't be too generic as in "Create a new ____ then type..." I'd prefer "Create a new ___ by going to ___ and selecting ___..." Oh, if you can't tell me how to put on on my site, please could you at least tell me what it's called?
