Applications :: How To Set Webpage As Wallpaper
Dec 5, 2010I came across this site [URL] and thought it'd be nice as a christmas wallpaper. You have to click on "Let it Snow" to start the animation.
I'm guessing I need extra software.

I'm not sure why but whenever I go onto the internet, my wallpaper disappears and it turns blue. If I want to restore it I have to click on a different wallpaper in system preferences then click back to the one I want. Any ideas?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have recently imported some photos from my camera, some in portrait some in landscape. When I preview the photos, the portraits automatically rotate in order to be on the upside. But when I use it as wallpaper, it doesn't rotate. View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded GeekTool 2.1.2 and was fiddling around with some of the settings so I could customize my desktop/dock. Unfortunately, this black box in the upper-left hand corner somehow appeared and now won't go away. I then uninstalled and am now running GeekTool 3.0. The problem persists. Is there a way I can get rid of this box, yet keep the changes I've already made in my dock?

I have my web page backed up on iDisk, but I can't figure out how to restore it to my local hard drive so that I can continue work on it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI often find myself searching for a piece of text that I wrote myself within a webpage. For example, when writing a long email in gmail, I want to look for a certain word I wrote somewhere in the middle. Firefox dynamically includes all the text that is present on the page (as opposed to just what's in the source of the page) and I'm wondering if there is a way to do that with Safari.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't get any error message, just a blank page showing nothing. I don't get no time-out message or anything. I have Mac OS 10.5.8 and Safari 5.0.2 and I have tried deleting the cookies and resetting the cache.
Besides I also noticed that while trying to load [URL] the page won't load but I can see the source code.
New here and new to making websites. I am making a site to showcase my music, and iWeb was very simple to use. The problem is the only way I can put music on the site is if i drag the mp3 file to the page. After putting 15-20 songs on the page, it takes a very long time to load the page because of all the files. I would much rather host the songs on another site such as imeem.com and place the music player on the page. it would make the page load very quickly, as well as let the visitors hear the music.
i dont want to shrink the files because the quality is much worse. i need to find a way to put many streaming music players on the page. is there a way to do this? i've looked around the forums and found nothing, and iweb didn't have anything in the help files.
I have tried using automator to load a webpage, click links and then log out. I for some reason cannot get it to work.
I used the recorder function to do this as I was unsure how to do it any other way.
I need to be able to get it to run at set amounts of time.
Everytime I go to the MLB page of ESPN, Safari loads the page, then beachballs. I then have to force quit the application.
This seems to happen on pages that have video.

I am trying to access a website [URL] and in Safari I receive "Safari can't find the server" error message. In mozilla I am able to goto the home page but if I click on any of the links I receive "server not found" error message. I have not run into this problem with any other sites and was wondering why this is happening.
View 7 Replies View RelatedOn Safari, it keeps giving me error messages saying "Safari Webpage Preview Fetcher has quit unexpectedly" and "QTKit has quit unexpectedly". Sometimes every few seconds. I tried using a "MultiSafari" v.4.0.5 and it does the same thing. I suspect it is because of deleting the contents of the Caches folder (which I do regularly, but never had problems with).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently "upgraded" to Snow Leopard and Quicktime X. Since then, there has been one increasingly annoying problem: Anytime a webpage has a movie (more specifically, a movie with its own URL), it opens it up with QT in the browser and automatically starts playing the movie. Despite deleting QT X and reverting to QT 7, the problem persists, no matter the browser (I have 4).
So 2 questions:1. Why is it that this was NOT a problem at all in Tiger (simply disabled the autoplay in QT, worked for everything), but is a huge problem in Snow Leopard?
2. More importantly, how do I fix it without writing a Terminal script that is the length of War and Peace?
Not that long ago, I found the folder that contains all the wallpaper backgrounds - I think it was somewhere in the Library? Anyways, after I found it, I added some of my own wallpaper images to the folder, so that they showed up in the pre-set folders of Nature, Plants, Abstract, etc, and not in my New Desktop Wallpapers folder. Well, now I have some new backgrounds I want to add, and for the life of me I can't remember where I found that folder before! I looked in the Library and the closest thing there is the Screensavers folder, but no wallpapers. Anyone know where this is located??

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe first picture is my desktop. I currently have my wallpaper set up to change every 10 min. There are 3 pictures that rotate and as you see in the first picture, they are merging together...The second picture just shows some weird 5h*t. This happens almost every where. It happens a lot in YouTube. I have a MacBook pro i7 (2010). It's only 1 month old and this has been happening for like 2 weeks but it does not happen everyday. More like every 2-3 days. I have to restart my computer to fix.
