View 1 RepliesI recently changed my Apple ID. When I try to make changes to my iCloud account on my Mac., I cannot access the account via System Preferences. I've changed the password once already. My iPhone's iCloud account is fine. At this point my iCloud account no longer is working with my Mac.

I'm unable to either login or access account info on the Mac App Store. I click "Login" or "Account" from the sidebar and absolutely nothing happens. I sit and wait, thinking perhaps it's just a little slow, and nothing. Anybody else having this issue and is there any way to fix it?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI can't allow Twitter access on the newest Adium beta. I click "Allow Adium Access," it opens a browser window with a sign in page, I sign in and I get a PIN. I then go back and say "I've allowed Adium access" and it gives me the error message: "An error occured while trying to gain access. Please try again." I deleted the adiumx plist, Adium 2.0 folder, Adium itself, etc. I'm on an MBP with 10.5.7, but still doesn't work!

Then I tried open a new user account to see if it also has the same problem. Unfortunately it did have the same problem - froze after I logged in. I had done a harddisk check, there seemed to be no problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter creating a guest account I noticed that anyone uses that account can use my (remembered) secured network connection. Normally, in my network settings, remembering used networks option is checked. When I look into the keychain, I see two entries for my network name. One is in my logins section and the other is in the system section. I suppose, the guest uses the entry which is in the system section. If I delete the entry which is in system section, it is been created again on next connection.
If I do not want any guest to use my network connection, I am having to cancel the remembering used network option and select disconnect on logging out option in airport advanced settings. But; if do this, I am having to select my network and type its password every time I login. I simply want if a guest uses the Guest Account, he wouldn't able to use my network connection without entering the correct password. Is it possible?

After upgrading to 10.6 there's no remote access to their account. When I tried to access the account from the machine, I get into the account but everything is unresponsive and the only way out is to turn the computer off using the on/off button.
Things are getting a bit desperate!
So I am the admin on my computer and for some reason I cannot access ANY other account on my computer, I can't even get into the guest account that isn't even password protected. When I try to open a folder it says I don't have privileges to do so. Also when I go to the users folder the other users don't show up. What can I do so that I can have access to these accounts? Please help this is so frustrating that I can't control MY computer.

View 3 Replies View RelatedTwo days ago I updated my Macbook Pro to the latest version using the "Software Update" utility. It restarted and I just shut it down.Yesterday I attempted to log to my account and I realized that it's not possible. No matter the account I try it:
1. Asks for a password (Enter password correctly).
2. A gray screen appears for one or two seconds as if it's loading the session.
3. It comes back to the accounts screen.
After many tries then I entered to the Recovery utilities ( Command + R on boot). I analized the disk and it's fine, no errors on it. So I decided to reinstall OS X When I try to re-install it starts to download some components and after few minutes of download it states that it cannot download these components. I thought it was a problem with my wireless network so I plugged an ethernet cable to the mac but the same error still happens after one minute or two.
Note: I checked my network with other devices and it's working fine.

I am my computer's administrator, and I have a secondary 'guest' account that anyone else can use. So, I know that all my data on my main, OS hard drive is secure from the guest account accessing it, but what about the additional hard drive that I have installed?
I have a good deal of sensitive data and files stored (and aliased) on my second internal drive that I do not care for 'guest' users to stumble upon. How can I restrict access to the secondary storage hard drive from my Guest login account, and/or just plain hide it from it? Surely, there is a need for this that has brought about a solution.

I'm wary of upgrading to The new releases until i can sort this out.
