Ive had a trawl through the Internet looking for someone else having this issue, but no luck.
When using Aperture, I get a very strange choppiness of photos. (Ive tried both 32 and 64 bit mode)

I'm looking for the green bird sample image on the Aperture home page. Anyone with a copy of Aperture that would care to share in it's original size?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't see any images when do an image search in google, yahoo etc. All I see is blank thumbnails! I'm using firefox, but its the same on safari too. I've tried playing around with the settings in preference but I've had no luck. I'm using an iMac with leopard which I just updated to snow leopard 3 weeks ago, I'm not sure if that is the cause or not. also google map doesn't display the image of the map. I've checked the box "Load images automatically" in content.

However i recently purchased two samsung 24 inch monitors to plug in. i have it hooked up with a cable spliter and all is well except that the two monitors both display the same image and i cant find a way to change that. What are my options for both screens to be different. hopefully options on the less expensive side considering i spent all my money on these monitors

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy aperture library shows thumbnails of all my photos like normal, but if I try to view a Split View or Viewer view of the image, after a period of time where Aperture says it is "Loading.." in which the image still looks ok, the image snaps and then appears corrupted. It looks like the viewport is looking at random patches of video memory, showing bits and pieces of various graphics from around the system.
This only started happening very recently, but I haven't been using Aperture daily, so I can't say if it was after a recent OS X update or Aperture update.
I'm assuming my masters are just fine, so it's only an annoying bug, but it makes Aperture completely unusable for the time being, other than browsing thumbnails.
I am trying to print an 11.98x17.97 image on a 13x19 sheet. I specify .51" borders top and bottom, and .52" right and left.
Instead, I am getting a 7.5x10.75" printed image with L 1 1/8" + R 7 1/8" borders and T 1/8" + B 5 3/8" borders. In short, a smaller image, shoved up and left on the sheet. See screen shot below.
Same happened when I tried to print a 4x6 image on an 8.5x11 sheet, until I was told by Kirby to enter the sheet size as a standard 'letter size' sheet instead of entering a custom 8.5x11" size. Is this the same? If so, what's the 'standard' size for 13"x19"?

I like to use Faces versus Names because I seem to be able to crank through it much quicker.
My flow:
1) I click a project name that has not already had faces assigned
2) I click the faces icon. Then I see the "main" part of the screen with the Faces instructions, and the section under that has the faces that need to be named. So I start naming them. There are 100s in this project.
3) Then I come across a face I only "kind of" recognize. I don't know if they are in the background in a crowd, of the focus of the photo. I need to understand the images composition so I can skip them or figure out their name. I would like to quickly just get a peek at the whole photo.
4) So I switch to the Viewer and it takes me to the first photo in that project. That's no good.
5) When I switch back to Face I also have to scroll to get back to that face.
Is there a better way to quickly see the whole photo without breaking up my workflow?

So what happens when I buy Aperture 3? Does it recognize that I have Aperture 2 installed, and upgrade it, or will it install Aperture 3 alongside Aperture 2?

I can see them if I go to pictures > iphoto library > originals, but not if I just open up iphoto
I have tried File > import to library, but all I get is a message saying "the following file cannot be imported.(The file is in the iphoto library folder)"
When I access the appications by HD>Users>(my user name)>applications, finder wont display any applications what so ever (in any vew or arrangement selection). However, when I went into preferences and added the applications option to my side bar in finder, it pulled them all up just fine.applications are still able to be accessed by using launch pad as well as from a folder from the dock, the only way they are blank, is by accessing them through the sequence above.

My safari browser on my iMac hasn't been displaying pages right since yesterday and I cannot figure out whats going on.
I've reseted Safari (cleared cookies, cache) and also tried turning my internet on and off and restarted my mac several times. I've even tried repairing permissions in disk utility.
Firefox and Chrome seem to be working perfectly but Safari will not format the pages the right way, all i mainly get is text unless a picture is linked to another page.
I have the latest version of Safari and am running Snow Leopard 10.6.6

my Safari is displaying fonts in a weird way - [I have to adjust the font size constantly in order to read webpagesIf i enter passwords, no fonts are visible, but i am actually able to enter the password - the cursor stays on the left of the field. What I have tried is changing fonts etc. - nothing helped. The attached picture should show lines of text, but the letters are all written over each other - this is what it looks like

View 4 Replies View RelatedI go to preview a larger thumbnail of artwork in iTunes, it does one of two things. It either shows up extremely large only allowing me to view a small portion of the actual album, or a indescribable pixelated position tracker that reflects whats normally shown in the iTunes window at the top. Hopefully that made sense but I'm curious if I have some virus or something. I've got the latest version of iTunes and all.

As you can see the page is displaying in half the window. Other users are having no problem in safari, just me. When I reset Safari the problem seems to go away, only to come back in a couple hours. This problem has only come about in the last couple days, anyone ever have this problem and know how to fix it?
Usually, when you type a word on the search bar, it will display many words that are related to your search, like when I am searching for the word "lamb"...
And it will display the definition when you click on the word.
However, when I use it on my Mac (MacBook Pro 13"), it display nothing, just a blank, like this when I looked at the word "lame"...
In the process of making an iweb site, still alot to do though. Uploaded what i have done so far and have run into a problem when viewing it on my sisters windows computer at work. The page in question is: [URL] The flash window on the left that displays the panoramic looks fine on my laptop with Safari and Firefox, though on my sisters Windows (whom most of my audience will be viewing with) the flash box only comes down to 3/4s of its propper size, exposing the shape i have placed behind it to act as a border. Does anyone have any idea on what may be causing this and maybe a solution? Could it actually be a problem with my sisters work computer?!

I spoke with Apple support and was informed this feature was not available and to submit a feedback form. I have done as asked by Apple support. The current work around is to export the presentation to Apple Quicktime. Does anyone know a better work around to display my presentation in a window instead of full screen?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have developed an application which sends HTML email to all users. Users will have either Microsoft outlook for windows or Entourage 2008 in MAC. Our HTML template contains <table> tags and <div> tags with Cascading Style sheets. We also use a div text with a unique id and styles with border to look as if it is a text box and allow users to enter values into the div tag and when they reply, we have an application which reads the html file from outlook and searches for the div tag and inserts the value to the db. Both the users can able to view the email properly. But, when the Entourage users click on Reply to enter values, they do not see any styles and could not able to identify the div tag to input their values.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI used a standard resume template in Word 2008 Mac that is not displaying properly in Windows. Here is a brief description: On my Mac: The document is perfectly formatted and displayed on 2 pages. On my PC: With ".doc" format, my name doesn't appear. In its place, I have yellow text that reads "address blocked". Additionally, the text spills onto a third page, even though the font, font size, spacing, etc. is all the same.
I then tried saving the document in ".rtf" format, and while my name did appear, the text still spills onto a third page. I cannot fit all the text (in a Windows environment) without cutting out important content. I'm so thoroughly pissed off with this. There should be no compatibility issues in this case because I'm using a STANDARD resume template that came with Word '08. When I saved the document, I made sure to select the "windows friendly" option.
I keep iTunes open and running at all times and haven't noticed any issues all day today. I just went into it to play a track and when I opened the album from grid view, the tracks seem to be invisible. I can click on them and play them,If I view in List or Cover Flow views, tracks show up fine. It's only Grid view that has problems. While it does show the grid of album art correctly, it's just when opening an album that a problem occurs. And I've confirmed that it's only in music albums, both in the main library and playlists, but not so in the Grid view of TV Shows; that functions properly and shows episodes when opened.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy friend's just got a new MacBook Pro, MacOS 10.6.2, latest version of Safari, and she's having problems with a lot of websites displaying some links and text strangely, as A's in boxes (pic attached). Oddly, the other 2 user accounts on her machine are fine with the same websites! She's cleared the cache, restarted Safari and her Mac (many times), changed the text encoding (and then back again), but nothing solves it.

I mainly use the chat feature to chat with a friend of mine, but out of nowhere it stopped displaying what I was typing. I can hear the sound it makes when you enter a text or receive a message, but it isn't being displayed in the window. I can still use video and the mic to hear them, but the IM doesn't display mine or anyone else's messages.
