Is there an app similar to Microsoft Streets & Trips? I use MS Streets & Trips heavily but have small screen PC.Looking for a program that uses the big screen Mac monitor.

I'm looking for an application that will be basically a mapping application like Microsoft Streets & Trips, but will have all the maps in offline format, either on a CD or something.
Basically a maps application that you can use without needing a connection to the internet.
I've used Microsoft Streets & Trips to plan hiking trips and travel across the world.I recenty made the switch to Apple and, of course, do not regret one aspect.Except, that is, that I cannot seem to find any software packages or applications that mirror Microsoft's Streets & Trips.Does anyone know of a program that may be similar and worth a try.It's difficult to explain all of the capabilities of S&T so here is a link to the software for comparison.

Is there another program that will work the same way that Handbrake does that works well on macs? Handbrake keeps shutting off about 30% of the way in. No matter what movie it is, it shuts off.

-Sufficient storage for many digital photos (This would eliminate Picasa's free service)
-Compatible with OS Tiger 10.4x
-Easy organization such as thumbnail viewing (or comparable to iPhoto's "Events")

I never really bothered using Word even though I know its spell checking and grammar are far superior to Pages because of the price of Office. I would buy Word from the Mac App Store if Microsoft offered it separate from the other apps. I'm sure some people would buy Outlook too instead of paying $279 just to get Outlook. Does anybody know when Microsoft plans on releasing a newer version of Microsoft Office for Mac? One of my co-workers currently own the 2008 version and he's really unhappy with it. He has an excel file that's around 4MB in filesize, containing some 11,000 rows and a bunch of columns too and it's really slow to work with (he has a 1 year old MacBook Pro) and some times excel also "runs out of memory" it says and the application just freezes. It should be updated properly etc, but I wonder if maybe a newer version more suited for Snow Leopard, might be released soon?

I have read that if you only uninstall part of Microsoft Office, it'll create problems with the other programs in the suite. How can I go about safely uninstalling these programs? Do I need to fully uninstall and then re-install? I made sure while installing Office to opt for a custom installation so I could un-check Entourage and Messenger. However, I didn't see those specific programs on the custom installation list. Are they maybe under a different name (like, for example, "Microsoft Essentials")? I don't know what to do. Help is much appreciated!
