Aperture will lock up during Export>Original or Export>Version.  My workaround has been to edit in Photoshop and export from there.  I deleted the plist and repaired disc permissions..

They ARE separated by folders and albums (and subfolders), but in the finder, they are just one lump of files. How do I get the files (in the finder) back to a folder structure?!

If I export to desktop, I am ok. I have run disc utils verified disc and fixed permissions on the drive...as welll as the permissions on the Ap library, and a rebuild.
I can also export to a connected thunderbolt. It seems to only be the HD and it happens with differet export settings.Â

I'm using Aperture 3.6 to create and then export a slideshow to 1080p. When playing back the exported .MOV file, some pictures have randomly disappeared leaving a black background and I've exported to a reduced 720p with random pictures still missing. If the slideshow is previewed in Aperture, all the pictures are OK and none are missing and I get the same export problems using iPhoto to export the slideshows.Â

Not sure if payment was processed or what to do from here. I don't see Aperture in my downloads folder. Should I close out and start again?

My problem its pretty simple. When I choose "Desktop folder" as destination to import/export in my applications, the entire app freezes.
For example: If i want to open a photo which are in "desktop" with photoshop with the "Open..." option, the "choose destination" pop-up window that appear freezes and I have to Force Quit. If i choose another folder, nothing happens.Â

I noticed that Aperture 3 is priced really, REALLY low on the Mac App Store. So I made the decision to buy it. But... I already have Aperture 2 installed. So what happens when I buy Aperture 3? As of late i've been importing what i film into iMovie. In iMovie i'll edit the video to my liking. In iMovie i'll "export" to the media browser so it'll show up in GarageBand. Then i'll open GarageBand and edit my film further, dealing with sound; adding music. After that i'll export it as a .MOV to my desktop. Then i'll open iMovie again and import that .MOV file and from there in iMovie will have it upload to YouTube in its original HD format.
I want to export my contact to Excel, so I can import them in MailChimp.

Ultimate Objective - export a playlist to a USB stick to play in my truck radio.I would like the final product to be in the same format as an MP3 CD (i.e., with folders, etc).Current Status - I know I can drag the playlist to the USB and it will dump all of the files into one folder (ROOT).The problem is that my truck stereo only recognizes 100 songs per folder.So I get the first 100 songs and that is it.A way to do this - create MP3 CDs and then copy them to the USB stick. That is very painful due to the fact that I have over 6GB of music that I want to end up on my USB stick.
What I'm wondering is if there is any way to get iTunes to burn to a folder (instead of a CD). That way, I could just burn a series of folders on my local drive.Then I could just copy those to the USB stick. Something else that I thought of.Does anyone know of an app or script that will take a group of MP3 files and sort them into folders based on artist/album/whatever.

I'm using Snow Leopard (10.6.2) and need to export all my Stickies notes. The only tip I have found is to go to File -> Print All Notes as PDF.
But there is no Print All Notes subMenu!
I also found in MacOSXHints an AppleScript. It didn't work.
Does anybody know of a way to export them?
I have a new Macbook Pro 13 inch. When I use gmail, labels show up in beautiful colors on the screen. However, when I connect an external display (I tried three displays) the colors of the labels become almost invisible. When I try to calibrate with this card [URL] I can't see the boxes in the white strip on the right no matter how I set all three moniters (unless I go down to D50 yellow).
When I talked to the Genius Bar they said this is normal because the MacBook Pro doesn't have a good video card to run external displays.

View 3 Replies View Relatedin the last two days, when i make something in garageband and i want to export to disk. before i would choose my desktop and after normalizing and converting...it would put a mp3 on my desktop. recently when i do this, it normalizes the track...but it just stops after that....no mp3 on my desktop....i have to send it to itunes now and then pull it out of itunes to have an mp3....what is going on?
View 7 Replies View RelatedEvery time I export a song out of GarageBand, the volume for the MP3 track is too low. I have to blast my volume in order to hear it. In the old GarageBand, the volume would usually be too loud on the MP3 track, but now it is the opposite.
I have tried adjusting the Master Volume and the Track Volume in GB and have still had no luck. The volume problem happens when I export a track containing only Apple Loops. If the track contains music played by my keyboard, then the volume is fine.
My normal workflow is to shoot HDV 1080i60 and import via a Sony HD-700 clamshell via firewire into FCP 6.0.6 working with a sequence set to HDV 1080i60. Depending on my next steps, I'll either export straight from here, do a QT conversion, or transfer the sequence to a Pro Res sequence and export from there. I'll often send a compressed (H.264) file to the client via yousendit. Never has there been a problem with the workflow or the client opening the file on a PC...
Now the other day, for the first time I had to work off of my portable set-up....FCE off a macbook pro and an external 7200 rpm hard drive. I imported with the only available choice (apple intermediate codec) and went about my edit. I exported and sent the file....While the file was fine on my laptop the PC user could only HEAR the QT file but got no picture. I was able to burn a DVD and move the operation to my desktop.
But after countless attempts at troubleshooting, including printing to tape and reimporting, recapturing all the original footage from tape, using my standard sequence settings, etc. I still can only export a QT file that is unable to be properly viewed by PC users.

I have a CAF file that I want to export to MP3. I don't want to use iTunes to do this, since I figure that QuickTime should be able to do it for me quickly. There is no export to MP3 available, however. I looked around on the Web and saw some QuickTime components, but cannot seem to find a recent one that is a Universal binary.

I'm trying to make my first movie (and subsequently first DVD) from iMovie.
I'm using iMovie 8 and iDVD 7.0.4.
I've downloaded some Mp4 clips from YouTube and imported them into iMovie via "File -> Import Movies". The clips are in the right order and play fine in iMovie.
When, however, I attempt to export the newly created movie, nothing happens. I click on "Share", but all subsequent options are greyed out. Nothing is selectable.
I've tried a number of things and read through everything I can find in the PDF included with the software (plus some Google searching), but can't get past this problem.
When I imported the clips I went with the default settings presented. Did I perhaps go wrong there?

i want to export an HD video with approx. 30 Gb. So now i have a problem: My Final Cut Pro X not want to do this, it says, 4 Gb for a "normal" DVD or approx. 9 Gb for a Blue-ray and that are not 30 Gb....
