I am havent been able to update to the latest Itunes for my Macbook. I go through the software updates, and select Itunes to update it. It gets almost all the way through and then says there has been an error and wasnt able to download... Because of this, I am unable to download any shows/movies on my Itunes.Â
iTunes (v 10.6.3 (25) has stopped updating Apps on my iPhone and iPad when I sync them. I can download and install the app updates from the devices OK, but the updates won't sync.Â
I have used an iBook G4 for a year and a half I only use wireless Internet connections. I recently started getting error messages when I tried to perform a Software Update. The error reads: "Software Update can't connect to the update server. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, then try again. Software Update can't check for updates because of a network problem."
Perhaps at the same time (I hadn't paid too much attention at first) I found that I was unable to connect to the iTunes Store. This error message read: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection was refused. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again." A google search shows that the second error message is common among PC users who think apple is conspiring to keep them out of the iTunes store with iTunes v7.1.1. I don't know about network settings but I don't make a point of ever fiddling with them. I assume both of these problems are symptoms of the same network mess-up. Can anyone steer me clear?
Getting errors when trying to update to 5.1 on iPhone 4s and iPad 1. Iv tried to update through the device and on iTunes and its not working. Both devices are NOT jailbroken. iTunes saying network connection can not be established. And trying through iPad's software update on the device says " Unable to check for update. An error occurred while checking for a software update."Â And I clearly have internet connection.
I have problems since applying the latest security Update 2009-001 and Java 10.5 Update 3, I have 10.5.6 on the new unibody 2.4ghz and have completely lost the ability to connect to my wireless access point which is an apple airport extreme base station.
I can sometimes se the base station but cannot connect to it and sometimes cannot see it at all. I have three other apple computers at home all less then a year old running the same build of 10.5.6 but have not updated them and they all are fine.
This one was perfect untill I applied the update.
The machine I am having problems with is partitioned with windows 7 beta on it which has no problems connecting to the base station, which indicates that its not a hardware problem but more then likely the update which is causing the problem.
Is there a way to uninstall the last update or delete it? Any one with a similar problem or know how I can fix it, I have googled but cannot seem to find anyone with similar problems.
After having updated my iTunes, I restarted my Mac. The battery then went out and now I can not start the machine. The screen is white with the apple, and a spinning wheel under it. How do I start my Mac?

If I create a smart playlist in itunes and deselect live updating then how exactly does the smart playlist load up?
The reason I ask is that started setting up Smart Playlists for all of the artists on my computer and they're all set to live update which is consequently slowing down my itunes. I realize that I may not necessarily need that. My question is though...how exactly would I go about manually updating a smart playlist that has live updating turned off?
after installing an update I am no longer able to hear sound out of my speakers. A red light comes on where the headphone jack is. I have already attempted to trip to switch with a wooden toothpick in the headphone jack but have not had luck.
I have encountered an irritating problem since a software update of Safari 5.1.5 and EFI Firmware a couple of days ago. I have been unable to load any MSN pages including my hotmail account. I am able to sign in and access the sign in page, but the inbox page freezes (loads up to about 75% on the menu bar) all the other msn websites follow suit load but not fully. I wouldn't mind but my main email account is with hotmail and my pop account via apple mail I cannot access junk and other folders etc..
I just bought my MacBook Pro and installed the updates... however, when I try to update my iTunes (since it says version 10.6.3 is available) but when it's almost done I get a message stating it can't be installed because the "update cannot be verified". How do I upgrade my MacBook to the latest iTunes?
Info: MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
I am having image issues when I play any of the crysis games (the only games I have). Random, irregular, odd shapes and lines start popping up on my screen. Everyone keeps telling that it is because i need to update my nvidia driver, but they never work and cant install. the driver i have now is the one from bootcamp. i just got my mbp a month ago and i hope it isnt a hardware issue. there are no screen problems when i am doing anything else. where can i find updated drivers that will work on my mbp in windows xp?
a friend in another country who bought a secondhand Mac (OSX 10.4.11) and doesn't know the admin password. She's unable to update the browsers and media players, etc. Is there a way for her to access or change the admin password in order to run her Mac properly?
Last night I decided to update to iTunes 9.1.1, via the software update prompt. It prompted me to restart my computer (laptop, Windows Vista). I proceeded to do so, but it got hung up in the log off screen for over 15 minutes. I turned off the computer and came back into the desktop. Tried to load iTunes, but it wouldn't load anymore. Tried to reinstall the software update, but now it's searching for a .msi file that I have no idea about? Anyone have any input as how I can resolve this, and have I lost all of my music in iTunes at this point?
After updating to iTunes 10.1.1 the app did not start at first so I went to download it and installed it manually. iTunes works but my boot time went from ~2 wheel turns at the boot screen to ~16. Installed the new airport update, as well. I repaired the permissions and did a PRAM reset.
I have an iMac that is my main computer. I download all of my music from iTunes on that computer and update my iPhone through that computer. I also have a MacBook that I use while traveling. Is it possible to sync the iPhone to the MacBook and update the MacBook with whatever is on the iPhone (and not update the iPhone with what is on the MacBook)? The MacBook is not updated (iTunes wise) and I don't want to erase what is on my iPhone. However if I could do the reverse of this then that would be better, that way I can download songs to my iPhone as well as my iPod to update for my vehicle. If this isn't possible, is there any way to somehow get what music is on the iPhone to my iPod so I can play it in my vehicle?
So updating to iOS 4 and iTunes putting my photo's back on my iPhone, I have noticed the highest temperatures I have seen my Early 2008 17" MBP go. It is reaching temperatures up to 212 F or 100 C, but has found an average 207 F or 97 C. This is the highest I have seen my MBP go when the CPU is pegged. It usually hangs out at around 165-170 F when under load( such as Folding@home). Is this a safe temperature?
