I have a message saying my Startup Disk is full on my MacBook Pro. Saying 0 GB free. At the moment we use Dropbox for most files, there are a lot of emails in my inbox but apart from that I don't understand why no space is left
Info: iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
i'm getting the message that my startup disk is almost full though i was not trying to delete files or clear disk space. i realize, however, that i need to free up space on my disk. i cannot find or figure out how to begin doing that.
2 days back I started getting this message "startup disc is full" I have aperture for my photos and deleted all the duplicates which should have freed up a lot of space. After deleting files when I go back and check it is still full.I have deleted files from Aperture trash and the trash on the toolbar also.Is this a virus? I personally dont think I have enough files to fill up 500GB, probably around 200 GB.
Info: MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.2)
I just got a message that my startup disk is full. It happened while I was importing some videos. I do have a lot of videos on there. It's my daughter's macbook, but I use it for video editing. Is the startup disk the hard drive on these things? I'm not completely used to Macs yet, I was planning on deleting some of the older video files that are no longer needed, but should my daughter delete photos, etc. too?
I am running Lion and my software is up to date. I am getting a message saying that the Start up disc is nearly full. How do I remove items from this to make things run smooth
Info: MacBook (13-inch Aluminum Late 2008), Mac OS X (10.7.2)
My Macbook air keeps getting a message saying that the startup disk is full. I don't have picture, music, or movies on it. Im not sure whats wrong with it.
MacBook Air, bought last December, transferred files at that time from another Mac, now when I switch-on the I get a message "Start-up disk is full", but I've only 1GB of files!
I keep getting a "startup disk is full" message on my MacBook, yet I have more than 50% of my 55gig HD empty. Haven't partitioned the HD. I've tried clearing the cache on my browser and running disk repair on the HD. I'm considering adding RAM (currently have 1 gig). I'm running 10.6.8.
I am getting a message that my startup disk is almost full. My HDD is roughly 500GB and 327GB are free. Doesn't make much sense to me. Something strange in one of the latest updates? Is there some setting I need to change in order to open up more memory for system files?
I'm confused why it says "Your computer does not need this update"? It's a MBP4, 1 and has some startup noises and (always has had IIRC) problems with it making noises that don't seem right. I've checked Software Update and there is nothing there (I just ran it and updated a minute ago). I'm curious why it says this, is there a firmware update 1.7 that needs to be installed for the MBP?
I have just purchased a Macbook pro and have just seen on the Apps icon on the screen that I have 2 updates available, one for garageband and the other for iphoto. I tried logging in using my apple ID username and password but I keep getting an error message stating: "You have updates available for other accounts. To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it." I googled the apple ID error and it led me to the apple support side where I could find out if I had multiple apple ID's linked to the same email address.
It came back with 3 accounts linked to my email address. I have found the username's for all 3 accounts and changed the passwords to all the same and then tried to log in to Apps on the macbook but can't seem to do it. I was wondering if it's possible to delete Apple ID's so I only have one account. What I have noticed is that when using my iphone the old app's I have to log into my old Apple ID to download up-dates, whereas the newer apps on my phone I have to use my email address as the username.
After updating my MacBook Pro, its not working. Here is a black screen write: No Bootable Device. Insert Boot Disk and Press Any Key. What should I do?
i keep getting this when i start up my macbook, I think it's from my printer, but that hasn't been attached to my laptop in a month or so. I report the problem..but it just always comes up.
Started the 24in iMac (The white version a few years old) up and there is a small window that comes up stating: 'IP Configuration. 10.1.1.4 in use by:15:af:e1:3e:f5 I click OK and carry so I can carry on with the password. I have 'Airport' on the system and my Macbook works fine so it's not the router.
i did a system restore using my installation disk,i went to utilities and restored to the 14/05/12 but when i restarted the system i get a message saying do a system restart and when i do i get the same message, any ideas please on getting my system back up and running ?
I just purchased a Mini Mac for family use that came with Leopard. I would like to know if their is a way to use the disks that came with the Mini Mac to update my MacBook?
I have a Macbook Pro. I have had it less than a year. I keep getting messages that my start up disk is full. I would love to delete some things but can't figure out how. I can't even update my Mac now b/c I don't have enough room.
I got this problem with my MB, it freezes in the startup. I went to the Macstore and asked a technician for help. He said it could be the Mac OS or the harddrive. He said I should try the Apple Hardware Test and see if's anything wrong. I got this error message: 4SNS/1/40000000:TCOD-102.125 I've searched Google with no positive result. Does anyone in here know anything about the error message?

I have a brand new MacbookPro, bought 2 months ago, so far so good!Yesterday I updated with the lastest update from Apple, but when it reboots, it gets stuck on the Apple Logo screen with the process-wheel.
At startup of my macbook pro with all latest updates installed I keep getting a message that "hlutil has quit unexpectedly". How can I troubleshoot this further?
MacPro late 2008 running 10.5.8;during startup I hear the tone and the apple appears on screen and the little spinning symbol appears...a few seconds later a grey screen decends and a message appears;"You need to restart your computer" ...so I do and the process is repeated... and repeated. Tried checking the battery/full and seems to OK .....
