ITunes :: 10.6 Crashes Every Time I Connect A Device To Sync
Mar 8, 2012I just upgraded to iTunes 10.6 in a normal mac software update yesterday Now I cannot sync any of my devices. 2 iPhone 4Ss and 1 iPad 1st gen.Whenever I connect a device to sync, iTunes 'crashes unexpectedly' I had to turn of wifi on the iPhone because wifi syncing caused the itunes to crash. I noticed my streaming music kept quitting and figured out it was the syncing that caused the 'unexpected quit's.
Music not playing is a minor inconvenience, but not syncing is a major problem in my household; where we share lots of info via sync.I did notice there was an iOS 5.1 upgrade available for all my devices, and was able to install it on iPhone 1 and the iPad, but I cannot upgrade my wife's iPhone because I need to free up some space on it which requires, you guessed it, attaching it to my mac to access sync preferences.

Jul 3, 2010For some reason one artist, this happens to be The Beach Boys, is in my library, 6 albums 57 songs, but does not show up on the checkable sync page so I can put it onto my iPhone. All other artists are showing up, what is different about this one artist?

When i get new apps in the itunes store the apps seem to automatically appear on my iphone 4s a few seconds later, but they wont on my ipad 2. For me ipad 2 I need to actually plug it in to get them on my ipad. How can I make my ipad 2 get the apps automically?Â

Mar 17, 2012I am using a macbook pro. Normally the device shown on iphoto sidebar (below trash) will gone after i eject my iphone. But recently, the iPhoto cannot unmount the devide automatically. I have to either restart my mac or manually right click on the device to dismount it.

For example, my Mac Pro tower has 4 disks and when I boot up all 4 disks are mounted. Then, when I turn on my Macbook Air and turn on my MacBook Pro, those laptops show up in Finder as shared. The Macbook Pro is partitioned, so it would be nice if I could specify which disk to mount in Finder.

OS X :: Sync Device Contacts Via Wifi?
Mar 15, 2009I've got a samsung phone with all of my contacts on it, and a new mac that I want to sync it with. My mac address book is empty, so I'd like to get my contacts on there. However, for some reason the bluetooth on my phone doesn't seem to be working. I can turn it on, but then it finds no devices and my computer can't find it. The samsung phone's wifi is working fine, though, and I can connect to my network. Is ther a way to sync using iSync through wifi, or using another application?

Jan 20, 2009ive googled everywhere for this type of process; whether it be an application or a bunch of scripts that would be able to do this, it didnt help me at all and/or i didnt understand it at all. is there a simple application that will allow me to plug in my usb drive and it will seamlessly sync with the "documents" and "pictures" folders, for example. basically, i want it to act like im syncing my iphone with my computer: how it automatically updates every time i plug in my iphone. also, i want the program to update the old files with newer, updated files, whether it was updated on my computer, or from another computer saved on the usb drive. basically (again), i want my usb flash drive to be exactly verbatim with the personalized selected folders on my macbook pro (with the older files updated with the newly modified files).

Dec 12, 2009Most people here know that if you have two computers, both with the same hardware, and one is running Mac OS X and one is running Windows, the Mac is usually faster in most aspects. I know that Windows is, in general, a much less efficient OS, but specifically, why? I've heard that a lot of it is due to the fact that Windows will try to do 100 useless things if you ask it to do one simple thing, also I've heard that Microsoft wrote Windows by getting loads of people to go off and do different parts of the OS, then they would just paste it together rather than taking off the useless parts, fitting each part together and optimizing it. I just need a more straightforward answer as I will be using it in an essay.

ITunes For Mac :: Apps Item Not Showing In ITunes Sidebar Under - On My Device
Dec 5, 2014I was looking to access the file sharing functionality of one of my apps (AV Player HD) in iTunes 12 and wasn't able to find out where or how to do this in the new version.Â
After a bit of searching on the internet I gathered I needed to select my device (iPad in this case) from the devices drop down, then on the left hand sidebar under the menu heading 'On My Device' I should see "Apps" listed there along with Music and Movies etc. I have:
Music
MoviesTv Shows
Books
Audio
Tones
and then some music playlists..That's it. So my questions are:
1. where is 'Apps'?
2. how am I supposed to access file sharing on AV Player HD if I can't see this menu item?Â

I wanted to get one for my birthday but my dad thinks that since it is like 5 years old it would not be capable of performing the tasks i do every day, like watching videos and listening to music on iTunes, watching YouTube videos, going on facebook; twitter; and other Adobe Flash and Java based websites. Does anybody who owns a mac know if it plays videos well, if it supports modern Adobe and Java players, and if it is generally a fast computer?

Apr 11, 2012I use iCloud for syning Mail & Notes. Contacts, Calendars and Documents & Data. I am 100% sure that in the past in iTunes/Info tab "Sync contacts" and "Sync Mail Accounts" showed all my different Address Book groups and different email account to be synced. Since recently they seem disappeared and I only see my different Calendars to be synced. Why are both Sync contacts empty and Sync Mail Accounts both emtpy/dimmed. BTW if I check Sync contacts I get a message that they are synced through iCloud etc. etc. Now if I enable on my Mac another email account in Apple Mail it is not added to my iPhone/iPad anymore. How can I change that ?Â

Apr 7, 2012I have 4 i devices, a first gen ipod touch, an ipad, an iphone 4s and an iphone 3gs. I wanted to be able to use wifi sync on the devices so I upgraded my Mac Mini to 10.6.3. As soon as I upgraded it, itunes is up to date as well, I now cannot get any of my devices to register when I plug them in and the devices will not wifi sync. They say waiting for my Mac Mini to become available.Â
I work in both the Mac and PC world. PC's have their problems without a doubt!Â
