I have one account from gmail that is not in use anymore and another from the cloud that i just starded using. When i go into my itouch through messages i log in and it says please register an email. when i do the same email as the apple id, it says that email is registered from another account. How do I remove it from that other account (Gmail)

My dad needed an Apple ID account, so we did the usual (registering and such). There was a confusion with the email address and I by mistake put the wrong email address down. The email account I wrote down is perhaps in use or perhaps not, but most importantly the billing information is on the account. How do I change the address to something else? Will the email be sent to a person who will take advantage of the bank credentials?

I have just signed up for a MobileMe email address. I want to change my existing iTunes account registered email address to this new @me.com address. However, when I try to do so in my account details page, it says that my me.com email address already has an iTunes account attached to it.
How do I go about changing my registered iTunes account email address?
Years ago I purchased a number of songs in my library using a corporate email address that is no longer valid and I do not remember the password. As I have no way to retrieve these songs and autyhorize them it because of the inactive account I cannot play the songs on my new computer without repurchasing them.

I have more than one email account set up on Mail and the strangest thing happens and I can't find out how to stop it.
Here is the problem:
- I have 2 accounts, 'Account A' is for my partner & 'Account B' is for me.
- Someone sends an email to 'Account A' (my partner) and CCs 'Account B' (me) into the same eMail.
- If I click reply from 'Account B' it sends the eMail from 'Account A' which is my partner, when it should be from me.
I have worked out that this is because 'Account A' was originally sent the eMail in The 'To' field as opposed to the 'CC' field in composing the reply eMail. I know that I can manually change the 'From' field every time when replying to an eMail but it becomes an nuisance. I forget to do it when quickly replying as I consider Mail to reply from the account that I'm reading the email from.
I have gone to the compose section in the preferences and there is an option for changing this when composing a new email but nothing when replying.
I'm using OSX 10.6 & Mail 4.2.
We just want to use a POP account with Mail.
For some reason an IMAP account was previously added, which I want to delete (Mail keeps trying to send / receive from this IMAP account, which isn't set up, and stops Mail working)
However, when I try and delete it by going to Mail -> Preferences, then selecting the IMAP account and pressing the '-' button - it won't delete it! It just stays there in the left hand column. How to I delete it?
I am no longer using a Mail account which has no messages in the inbox, sent, etc., but I I've done a Save As of many of these messages into other folders outside of Mail on my computer, but are still Mail docs. Also, I can no longer access the server hosting this acct. and messages. Mail warns me that if I remove this account "all messages will be deleted permanently from your computer." Sounds like I should leave it be even though there are no messages left from this acct. in Mail. Would removing this Mail acct. actually result in all the messages in other non-Mail folders on my computer disappearing?

View 3 Replies View RelatedOk so I realized that I only have 15 GB left so I went through and moved all the files I want to keep onto a external hard drive then was going to format my HDD, reinstall snow leopard then put the files back, 'cause I thought that formatting it would befaster than deleting over 120GB of stuff in the trash. But I can't find my snow leopard disk so I was thinking of creating a new account then deleting the one I use now. So I guess my question is would this work and will I gain back all of the space on my hard drive.

Only about eight of them are people I know. When I sent individual emails to crowdfund recently, I accidentally sent to some of these people, and my friend thought I'd hacked his account. I'd like to see them gone.Â
In older versions of the OS, I was able to remove email addresses I no longer wanted; now, if I can, I don't know how. There are other addresses I'd like to remove, too.

I would like to change this (using some other appleid to separate these accounts from mobileme) so that I don't need to renew my mobileme subscription. From Apple websites, I cannot do this, AppleID cannot be changed if it is a mobileme id.

I had an Exchange account that I had been using for years. Recently, I switched jobs, and therefore the Exchange account was discontinued (i.e. my user was deleted from the server, emails bounce). BUT I cannot remove this obsolete account from my System Preferences > Internet Accounts. It drives me crazy. Whenever I hit the "-" minus button, the account disappears, but whenever I open Internet Accounts again, it's right back in its place. Apple Mail keeps complaining that it "cannot connect to the server", but won't let me delete the account.Â

When MobileMe was created, my .mac account was merged (? probably not the correct word, but hopefully you get the idea) with MobileMe, and I could receive mail addressed to myusername@mac.com and/or myusername@me.com. When MobileMe goes away will I still be able to send and receive my email at myusername@mac.com?
