after changing a number of computers i went to download my previous purchases onto my new laptop, however they now do not appear at all as in i have no purchase history, the same has now occured on my iphone but when checking my account details it shows payments made for purchases from a few days ago.

When I try to buy it again I'm informed I've already purchased it and to check my available/pending downloads (its not listed).

my iTunes 10.6.1 on OS X 10.7.3 has been telling me 'you have 1 item awaiting download' for the last 3 or four days.but, when i select '1 iTunes download available' in download or 'download now' in iTunes account or Store/Check for Available Downloads, nothing downloads and the message remains.i've tried downloading a free tv episode to clear the count or reset the count. it says 2 downloads availabe and the free episode does indeed download. then the message goes back to 1 available.

I downloaded handbrake to my hp computer running windows vista. I tried to "rip" a couple of movies. That worked...I think (m4v file format) But I cannot figure out how to get the movie in to iTunes, so that I can put the movies on my iPhone or iPad. I tried dragging the file in to the movie section, and also going to the menu and opening "add file" (or something like that). Nothing happens! When I ripped the movie, I selected "iPhone Ipod touch". I also should mention that when I double click on the file, and try to watch the movie on my computer I am unable to watch it on any program. For example it says that it is a file type that QuickTime does not recognize. I am completely new to this and simply don't know what im doing!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI currently have it set to by date modified, however it is not accurate. For example, when I download something, it will often be near the bottom of the list, rather than the first item in the downloads folder. However, I have a stack for the downloads folder, and it organizes them *correctly* (one item doesn't seem right, but that's it).
It seems to be doing this because some downloaded items have custom date modified and created dates from when I downloaded them. I downloaded an application demo today, August 1st 2009, but it says May 2008 for date modified and created.
So, how can I organize the items by purely 'Date Downloaded' ?
how to change the preferences on the Downloads folder? Since upgrading to Yosemite, some of the files I download (.mp3 and .jpg primarily) automatically open once downloaded. How can I revert this back to not opening (the way it was in Mavericks)?

It's under my email and apple ID, but my mom is on the same account, on her own computer. I want to have automatic downloads so I can use it for my iphone and ipad, but I don't want her song to end up going to my devices or laptop when she downloads from her own computer. is there a way to either turn off automatic downloads for just one computer, or get her a new account, but letting her transfer all of her music onto the new one?

I have clicked on "check for updates" in itunes and it tells me there is a new itunes to download, so when i click on down load it goes to my system softwear updates which after a very long time "checking" comes back and tells me there is nothing to update. I presume my computer is playing up: In the Firefox preferences, I have selected "Show the Downloads window when downloading a file" and "Save files to Downloads folder"BUT - my computer neither shows the downloads window,nor saves the download to the folder.

This is what it looks like. as you can see, it says the number of DLs at the bottom of the window.
The file DOES download, but for some reason, it just wont show up in my download window.
The same links work when i access them from the same internet connection on my windows destop computer,the only download links that would work when clicked are rapidshare ones,even apple.com links do not work i often have to use save link as sometimes i do not get that option..
