View 2 Replies View RelatedI had purchaser the single of the Payphone from iTunes and when the album was released I did a "Complete my Album" purchase of the same Album. iTunes won't play the single when palying the album. It is not shown as being in the album at all, even the track number is omited. How can I get that single to play in order when selecting the Album without creating a special playlist just for this album. I thought when you did a "Complete my album" it would do just that not omit it from the album and keep the single as a separate track.

I have a thumb drive that if i plug it into my MacBook Air in the left usb port, it takes at least 3 minutes before it shows up on my desktop, sometimes MUCH longer. If i plug it into the right USB port, it shows up after a minute. If I plug this same thumb drive into a PC, it shows up within seconds. If i plug a different thumb drive into either USB port on the Air, it shows up within seconds.
It's a FAT32 thumb drive, and i've already tried reformatting it and the same stuff happens. I've even had disk utility check it out and nothing's wrong. I'd guess the thumb drive is bad but it works instantly if i plug it into a PC, so guessing that's not it. It's a 10.6 MacBook Air.
How long does it take to download Lion? I have been waiting over 1.5 hours. I have broadband through my university so there is plenty of bandwidth.

By the next morning it was still downloading. And when I got home from work today, still downloading.

I had codes for a movie to get from the itunes store. I started downloading them yesterday for 1 movie and the extras to that movie and it needed 20+ hrs for it to finish. Is that normal? I got 7 hrs to go with one download completed. I have a macbook pro if that matters.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm at a university and I've had a MacBook Pro for about a year now. The OS is Mac OS X 10.5.8. The processor is 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. The Memory is 4 GB DDR2. When I'm at the University we use a secure wireless network. When I option click on the AirPort icon, I get the following readings:

Because it's a university-wide system, I have no idea what the router information is. When I asked our IT staff about it - a group of part-time college students - they just shrug and tell me everything is working. I can download movie files in an instant. Zip files, even the most basic ones, take about half an hour. This is true even when the movie and the zip file is on the same website. A movie file, six or eight times the size of the zip, downloads much faster. I've read through this forum and others. I followed this suggestion: I deleted my AirPort setting and reinstalled it under "wireless". This did not seem to change anything.
I just want a ballpark figure for how long the download might take. I may decide to buy the flash drive to speed it up.

I have noticed that it is taking too long to download YouTube videos. I have tried a few things: emptied cache, reset Safari, downloaded OnyX and cleaned everything up I could. I also reset my wireless router, but those have not worked. I have also updated Adobe FlashPlayer, Flip4Mac, and checked for new updates from Apple. With all of that, nothing has seemed to work. Not sure what to do next.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhy wont the mac app store show me the download progress bar anymore? im using Version 1.1.2 (92.8) which seems to be the newest. i today bought a game on the app store which is 15gb. and in the mac app store under "purchased" it wont give me a download progress bar. even in the help file of the app it is said to be there next to the app just bought in the list. however. lauchnpad does give me a progress bar. which is just rather sloppy because it indicates nothing on speed or time remaining. how come mac app store removed the status bar?

1. I have moved my iTunes Music folder to /users/shared...
2. I go into iTunes preferences and change the location of the Music Library...
3. Restart iTunes...
4. Then I go into iTunes and it works - it's reading songs and movies from the shared location fine...
When I login as a different user (any admin user), repeat steps 2 and 3 and nothing - the library is empty when it's restarted

itunes library will sometimes separate songs from a single cd into two separate files with the same cover art and the same cd title. It will then list the artist twice in the library. so here's the deal. I have an 80GB drive in my MacBook, which is currently where my iTunes lib resides.
I also have a 250GB external drive. What I want to do is keep my music on my laptop, but store movies and TV shows on my external drive, yet still be able to access them along with my music... know what I'm saying?
I have a MBP and a MacMini. I wish to have my iTunes library stored on an external HD (which I will share on the network) connected to the MacMini.
I would like to see this same library on my MBP (presumably just point the iTunes on the MBP to the networked external HD for the iTunes folder??).
But now I wish to ensure that any changes made on one machine (additions, artwork update, playlists etc) are synced and show up on the other, and vice versa.
This should be applicable to both content purchases on iTunes and my own content ripped from my CD collection.
