I just got an Iphone 4. When I connect it to my MacBook Pro I get the above message. I updated itunes and all other updates are done, phone is updated. I can make calls, navegate, etc.
But iTunes won't connect so I can put pictures or music on it.
I have Itunes on my Win7 computer and on my Macbook running snow leopard 10.6 and the latest Itunes and neither computer will connect to my iphone with the usb cable. It did with the previous version of Itunes. If I can't get an answer I will go back to the previous version of Itunes
I have seen people saying go into Library-Launch daemons etc. I find Library but no launch daemons or daemons or anything like that. I am using Lion. I have sorted the problem before by uninstalling iTunes then reinstalling but as soon as I restart I have the same problem again. Now Lion won't even let me uninstall it.
I do have the wifi sync symbol sitting in the taskbar but can't seem to do anything with that.
just upgraded to iTunes 11.2.2 and the program freeze any time I try to connect the iPhone. I restarted several times but the behaviour does not change.
I last synced my Iphone on 3 May. I tried today and itunes just stops responding anytime I try to sync my iphone. I have an iphone 4s and both my itunes and iphone software are the latest versions.
I am playing Modern war on my Iphone when I go to purchase something it states I need to contact itunes support to complete this transaction never happen before.
I can't seem to get my Macbook Pro 13" 2.26Ghz (OS 10.5.7) connect to my iPhone 3G (OS 3.0) via bluetooth. In the Bluetooth Setup Assistant the macbook sees the iPhone 3G, but they don't connect after I accept the connect on the iPhone 3G. The codes on the Macbook and iPhone are the same and, therefore, should connect.
I've searched the Apple Discussions (support) but there is no answer there.
I unfortunately lost my whole itunes library that was on an external hard drive. I was able to download my music and apps stored in icloud. I want to sync my iphone and ipad to itunes for mac without erasing everything on these devices. can this be done keeping all my apps, music, folders intact on these devices.
Is there a built in feature in OSX that will let me use the 3G signal from the iPhone to let me go online with my MBP? Or do I need a 3rd party program?
Itunes say's that i need to update to be able to connect my phone, yet when i try to update it says my software wont let me.So I have tried to update the software but it say's there are no updates?? I really am useless with computers. It's an Imac5,1 -system version Mac OS X 10.4.11 (8S2167)
Ok so we've all heard about the issues with airport on the MacBook. Well I've had mine for about 3 yrs now and this problem with airport wifi connection has progressively been getting worse over the last yr. I took the MacBook in last week and they wanted 170 to put in a new network card and antena. Bit much I think.! So they told me I could buy a 35 USB wifi dongle thing.
I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro with FaceTime included. Very excited to use this service with plenty of friends living across the country. However, much to my dismay the application does not connect to other devices. Here are the main points:Calling out from Mac simply rings, rings, rings, and rings to an iPhone 4 device but does NOT show on the person's device I am calling. Yes, they are connected to an open Wifi network, have FaceTime and use it successfully, and their FaceTime is set to receive at any given moment. The call is never registered on their device.Calling out from an iPhone 4 to my Mac it simply rings and rings but does not register on my computer as having missed a call. All attempts have been made using phone numbers AND email addresses linked to their Apple ID's with no success.Calling out from Mac sometimes shows the user as not available as I'm assuming they are not on a Wifi network, an open network, or their app is not set to receive calls at anytime.I have tried to FaceTime out from 2 seperate networks following the Wifi settings listed on Apple's support page and issue still persists.
i have tried to connect my iphone 4s via bluetooth and it says that my macbook air is not supporting this feature after i follow all the steps when connecting.
I have an open wifi network setup that I can't connect to. There are several PC users in the house able to connect, but my iPhone and MBP are unable to establish a connection. Stranger, is that when I plugged into the ethernet, my laptop was also unable to connect using the "Automatic location." I setup a new location and was able to use ethernet, but wifi is still not working. I used to be able to connect to the network and as far as I know no settings have changed. I've tried resetting the cable box, wireless router and the computers, and I also tried dumping all network related preferences I could find.
I bought my first iMac yesterday and am slowly getting to grips with it. I seem to have got totally stuck trying to connect my iPhone or the kids iPods.
When I connect by the cable, the phone charges fine.
The computer doesn't recognise that the phone exists though - either in uTunes or when i look in Finder.
I checked in system information, under hardware - USB, and it listed the phone there fine. (under the USB 3.0 high speed hub)
I have tried putting making the sidebar visible on iTunes and this made no difference.
It doesn't even register it as a camera or external storage in Finder
It's an iPhone 4, and I haven't updated the OS recently so it is still on iOS 6.
I've also not been able to get the iMac to recognise my printer throughout the wifi - I'm not bothered about fixing this just yet - just concentrating on one w=thing at a time, but mentioned it incase it's relevant.
The iPhone is recognized but I can not get a connection. It says Bluetooth connection is not available. When I look at the network prefs, The "Bluetooth PAN" says not connected and will not connect. They are on the same router and my Bluetooth mouse works fine. I simply can not get them to pair. Advanced for Bluetooth PAN has to configure using DCHP for IPv4 and Automatically for IPv6. Nothing else is on that sheet. This is a late 2012 iMac. New iPhone 5 (warranty replacement). Phone shows it's on my network. Checked computer and it's on my network.
Info: iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10)
I've got a macbook pro which was working fine via wifi …. We had a power-cut last week and things have now gone rather mental. When trying to connect to the internet via wireless, it kept coming up with “Wi-Fi does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the Internet.”
So I ran a search on google on how to try and sort it. I followed the following instructions : Add a New Network Location & Renew DHCP LeaseLaunch “System Preferences” from the Apple menuSelect the “Network” panelClick on the “Location” pull down menu and choose “Edit Locations…”Click on the + plus icon to add a new network location, give it a unique name, and click “Done”Back at the Network panel with the newly created location selected, click on “Advanced” in the bottom right cornerClick on the “TCP/IP” tabClick on “Renew DHCP Lease” and wait for the numbers on the left to repopulate, then click “OK”
I was absolutely thrilled as it worked!!! … and continues to work ... The only problem now is that my Macbook is the only one in the house that can connect to the internet wirelessly. When I try and connect my iPhone 4 it asks me for the Password then says “Unable to join network” and also my mums laptop refuses to join wifi …. She’s not happy with me as she now has to run it via ethernet. I tried to set up my iPhone manually, but with no joy as I'm not sure what I'm doing
I recently switched my iPhone account to a new computer, and I can't figure out how to make my computer recognize my apps on my phone. I have a new email that i use for my iTunes stuff and it works, but on my phone it doesn't recognize the new email and it shows the old email and asks for the password, but even my old password doesn't work. I'm so frustrated How can I make my phone change the old email to the new one? The only problem is for the App Store.
I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes. It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.
I have a new-to-me MacBook (running Lion) and I just downloaded all my music into iTunes. I had been sync'd with an old PC laptop previously. If I choose to sync my iPhone (4S) with iTunes on the MacBook, will it delete my apps and data (as the warning in iTunes leads me to believe)? I do use iCloud backup on the iPhone, and I've got all kinds of apps installed (and arranged to my liking). What's the best way to have my music sync with the MacBook without having to reinstall my apps?
I have an older iPod that has some playlists on it that are not in my iTune library. I want this same playlist on my iPhone but when I do an 'export' then try to drag and drop into my phone I get a message saying it did not copy because 'it cannot be played on this phone'. I also cannot drag and drop it into iTunes anywhere either. All of these songs are in my library, I just don't want to have to go through and remake this playlist to add to my phone.
From a certain moment now i could not surf on some web sites as Facebook (really long to open, then html text on the left,[URL]etc) also when i want to update my apps on iTunes, he sais cannot connect to iTunes store, weired. I already empty the cache, and cookies on Firefox, dosent do anything, oh! And as same for chrome, safari and internet explorer. It seems that the big sites are blocked.I work on iMac g5 os lion 10.7.2, processor 3.06 GHz, Firefox 10.0, iTunes 10.5.3 no firewall
