I use a mac book pro 17" and osx10.9.4 ... After i updated to itunes 11.3.1 itunes always freezes if try to connect to ios device such as Iphone or Ipad.
A soon i turn of completely the ios Devices, Itunes reacts normally without sync. of course. as soon i Turn on the iphone or ipad, and it does not matter its connected with cable or Wlan, it immediately freezes again....

My problem is that suddenly since last week my Itunes freezes every time I try to connect my IPAD or my IPHONE it was working great but now I have this problem. I already completely remove Itunes and I already re-installed ver 11.2 and 11.2.1 but the problem is the same. I already tried to connect my devices to other computer (I have an IMac) and both devices were recognized without problems. I also restored my IPHONE to default settings but after that the problem is the same one. I would like to say that my devices are being recongnized without problems by my Macbook Pro, it also opens automatically Iphoto and I can get the pictures from my two devices so I know that it is not a problem with my Macbook or the USB ports.

I just upgraded to iTunes 10.6 in a normal mac software update yesterdayNow I cannot sync any of my devices. 2 iPhone 4Ss and 1 iPad 1st gen.Whenever I connect a device to sync, iTunes 'crashes unexpectedly' I had to turn of wifi on the iPhone because wifi syncing caused the itunes to crash. I noticed my streaming music kept quitting and figured out it was the syncing that caused the 'unexpected quit's.
Music not playing is a minor inconvenience, but not syncing is a major problem in my household; where we share lots of info via sync.I did notice there was an iOS 5.1 upgrade available for all my devices, and was able to install it on iPhone 1 and the iPad, but I cannot upgrade my wife's iPhone because I need to free up some space on it which requires, you guessed it, attaching it to my mac to access sync preferences.

And from what I understand, Leopard doesn't even HAVE internet connect. I'm really stymied. Someone else suggested it was an Entourage schedule problem, but that advice didn't work either.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought an HP Photosmart C5580 printer without Bluetooth capabilities. Trying to connect it to my MacBook Pro OS X 10.5.6. When I try to set up the printer through the Bluetooth "Set up Bluetooth Device" function, I select "printer" under the list of options. Once I hit "continue", the Set Up Assistant automatically closes, and all that pops up is the Print & Fax System Preference Box. It lists the printer there, but won't allow me to do anything to actually connect the printer.
What should pop up is another box, asking me to select the printer. Under Bluetooth Preferences, it says that no devices are set up. However, it is clearly recognizing that the printer exists because when I look under "Browse Device" it is listed there. Yet it's clearly not connected since double clicking on the new listed printer only gives the message, "this device does not have the necessary services."
One day I couldnt wake my macbook from sleep with my firewire WD Mybook 500G connected, so I power off the macbook manually and start it up again. It then triggered kernel panic, and i found that my macbook resume normal if i do not connect the firewire external HD. I performed PRAM reset and even PMU reset but it still couldnt help.

I was looking to access the file sharing functionality of one of my apps (AV Player HD) in iTunes 12 and wasn't able to find out where or how to do this in the new version.
After a bit of searching on the internet I gathered I needed to select my device (iPad in this case) from the devices drop down, then on the left hand sidebar under the menu heading 'On My Device' I should see "Apps" listed there along with Music and Movies etc. I have:

Tones
and then some music playlists..That's it. So my questions are:
1. where is 'Apps'?
2. how am I supposed to access file sharing on AV Player HD if I can't see this menu item?

I have a problem with my macbook. Recently after a software update it started freezing when live streaming from the net. Than the problem continued to airport it either does not turn on or it shows it on but still no connection to the net if i connect via Ethernet and leave airport on Ethernet will disconnect and unable to reconnect again if i turn airport of at least Ethernet works. Freezing happens after a longer period of sleep mode.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded Diablo III, and tryed to install it, it didn't work and i constantly got this Blizzard Launcher can't connect to the internet error. I tryed redowloading the game 2 times, i tryed closing all unnerserssary programs but it wouldnt work. So i went on Skype and called some friends and chatted for around an hour. Then i open Minecraft, and when i join a server, My iMac's screen just freezes. i can still hear my friends over skype and i can still use all the keyboard commands to lower or raise the volume. But other than my mouse and the lighting nothing moves on my screen. I tryed restarting. Didn't work. I can still hear the background programs like Skype and spotify opens but the screen is just all white with some small grey boxes here and there. I tryed taking the wire out and hold the on/off button in for 10 seconds, didn't work either.Does anyone know what to in my situation? Should i go to the applestore and get it fixed? (The nearest Applestore is 2 hours of driving away)

Note: I've tried safe mode, and I don't have this problem there. But when I'm in safe mode, I can't get to the internet, so it's useless.I have an ibook g3. I don't know the exact kind, but it has dual usb ports and a translucent keyboard.
I know my g3 is old, but it works just fine. I can start up, log in, and my desktop will come up just fine. I can run any of the applications I have installed. I can get on the internet. I can do pretty much anything... for ten minutes.
After being on my g3 for a little while, it starts to go slower and slower and slower until I get the little rainbow pinwheel thing and it freezes up. Then I have to turn it off by force. BTW, when all of this starts, it doesn't really heat up or make any odd noises.
Is there a way to backup Itunes to another device other than CDs? I back-up my itunes and it takes up about 22 Cds.

I have 4 i devices, a first gen ipod touch, an ipad, an iphone 4s and an iphone 3gs. I wanted to be able to use wifi sync on the devices so I upgraded my Mac Mini to 10.6.3. As soon as I upgraded it, itunes is up to date as well, I now cannot get any of my devices to register when I plug them in and the devices will not wifi sync. They say waiting for my Mac Mini to become available.
I work in both the Mac and PC world. PC's have their problems without a doubt!

iPod Touch connected via USB and does not appear in the iTunes list. In fact 'Device' is not listed at all. I know the USB port works so it isn't this or the cable. I just got an iMac that had iTunes on it. When I plugged my iphone in it would just ask if I trust this computer. I said yes and there was no icon that recognized the device. Now, I just have a iTunes icon in the dock that will just bounce once when it is clicked. I have a 10.8.6 version. Do I need to find a new iTunes donload? Do I send the iTunes to the trash? Also, this did not come with the disk.
