I am trying to burn a slideshow onto CD/DVD so it will play on my TV. I would like to keep my chosen music I have selected for each slideshow. If I export it then the quality is very poor. Is there a way of me achieving my goal?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've made a slideshow (about 24 mins) in iMovie and 'shared' it onto my desktop. I've tried to burn it to dvd (+R) lots of different ways but all failed. I have iDVD on my MAC and am using Mavericks. I'm putting it down to 'pilot error' or possibly my age!

I am looking for an affordable method of playing iTunes on my big screen HDTV. In other words, I just want to mirror whatever is on my iMac screen on my HDTV. So I want ALL the iTunes features like the visualizer, randomizer, etc. to work without a hitch. Some people were saying they can't get the visualizer to work smoothly. And of course I want quality audio so I can utilize the soundbar on my TV to play MP3s.Â
I do not own an Apple TV device but I own a Google TV device called the Vizio Co-Star.
I was not able to find a Google app to simply mirror what's on my iMac onto my TV screen.Â
I reseached and found that there are two apps I can purchase -Â AirParrot and Reflector. Is this the best way of achieving what I want to do? Do I purchase both of them on my mac or do I need to purchase one of these and install on my Vizio Co-Star?Â

I have tried burning my iTunes purchases onto a CD, and when I try to play them back on my CD player, nothing happens. It will play back in iTunes on the Mac, but not on my CD player or in my car. Â
I suspect it has to do with the speed at which they burn, but I have no idea how to change that?

Complete with music and transitions? Is this something that iDVD can do? I need it for a mates birthday party and was going to play a slideshow of him growing up, no one there will have a Mac and I'm not taking mine, so was wondering how I can get the slideshow on a dvd... complete with transitions and music.
I want it to look exactly like it does on iphoto. I read somewhere they said to share it with idvd, but it does not look the same. Everything is different from the music to the way the pictures are changed and the timing. Is there a way I can burn it from iphoto (the slide show) to a dvd? If not why is it not the same on idvd?

I've been trying to burn a DVD from iPhoto's slideshow.
From reading a thread here, I export the Slideshow to iMovie. Which is made into a .mov flie. Then I add some stuff and edited the movie under iMovie. But then I couldn't find a way to burn it unto a non-computer playable format. So I export it from iMovie to iDVD.
So far seems alright.... ready to burn the DVD and all..... but here's the problem:-
1) The oginal photos are around 500MB, after I made it into .mov file... it's like 800MB. After I edited it under iMovie (Just some extra text and all) it became a whopping 9.5GB!!! Too large even for a blank DVD...Have I done anything wrong?
2) Picture quality on iPhoto was excellent.. but when made into .mov the quality was awful...... Anyway to improve the quality?
Ive created a slideshow on iPhoto, of a recent vacation. Ive configured it with music, etc. Can someone please explain to me how I can burn it to a DVD?

When I make a slideshow with music in iDVD, it plays fine on my Mac, but after burning the DVD, there is a short audio dropout at each transition between photos when I play the DVD on my home DVD player. Am not sure if this is a player problem, or what I can do to get around it.Your answer can be technical.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to connect my MacBook to my tv to play a slideshow in iPhoto. I've got just a regular old MacBook and got a mini-DVI to video adapter, as well as a male-male s-video cable to connect the computer to the tv. It gets all connected and on the tv I go to the setting to view it and all I get on the tv screen is the blank desktop, no icons or anything. The only thing that will show up on the tv from the computer is when I go to the display preferences to change the resolution setting. Now, I know the resolution of the computer doesn't totally match that of the tv but past that and the fact that I have them physically connected right now... Why isn't anything from the computer showing up on the tv??
View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a slideshow with itunes music added in iphoto. I tried the recommended free "burn for mac" software download. It burned a dvd but, this will not play on my dvd player for tv. What software title can I purchase that will burn my iphoto slideshow to a dvd that will play on typical home dvd player for tv AND on a windows pc?

how to get sound to play on my TV from my laptop for several days now. I bought an Mini Display Port to HDMI converter (Kanex Iadapt) off Amazon that is supposed to have audio support. I connected it with the HDMI cable to my TV and changed my display settings to mirror and the picture comes up fine but when I tried to change the output in sound settings to my TV my TV didn't even come up as an option. I went out and bought a Y audio cable figuring my laptop may be older than 2010 and needs an additional cable, plugged the audio cable into the same HDMI outputs in the TV and still no sound.

I'm fairly new to mac, and needed to know how to do something with my particular arrangement.
My configuration is i have a new Imac, and I have alot of movies in avi. format that I want to burn on a DVD and be able to play on my PS3 as that is all I use to watch movies. And I doubt that I can just burn that avi to a DVD and boom it works. So I need to know what I need to convert them to, and what is the best program to convert them (doesn't have to be free software either, just the best because it will be watched on a 61" tv, so I need quality to be awesome cause otherwise it will stretch and distort). And how to burn them with what program for them to work on my PS3.
Will a .avi movie play on my DVD player if I burn it onto a DVD?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just recently got my mac. Its been s struggle but I love it! Few problems though. Firstly, how do I put movies from my computer onto a dvd? Make up a dvd that can play in a dvd player. Its a blu ray player, im not sure if that makes a diff, think I just have to check what types of files it plays and change them accordingly. So how do i burn a movie onto a dvd?
Other question, Im having a problem with my wireless internet. My macbook works fine everywhere else and nobody else i live with have any problems. Just my computer in my house. The internets REALLY slow. I rang NTL and they said its your computer, so rang apple and they did some tests and said its your network so I rang NTL again and they gave me a number for netgear, the people who make the router. They were NO help, you can't call them from a mobile phone and I dont have a housephone. Is there anything I can do?
Id appreciate any help I can get!!

can anyone tell me if you can rip an original dvd using handbrake and then burn to a dvd to play on a dvd player, if so what would be the corrrect way to do this, as i have only used a video ts folder and handbrake does not seem to offer this option. i have tried to convert using mtr 13m and fairmount to dvd2one but the resulting files do not burn in toast or just crashes. I am trying to backup: open season and bee movie
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to backup a few of my rare DVDs that I have. I used RipIt to rip the DVD and now I have a folder with VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS in it. What freeware can I use to burn these to a DVDR so that it plays in any DVD player? I tried DVDRemaster too and I'm having the same issue. The file size is small enough to fit on a single layer DVDR.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone know of a converter that will convert avi, wmv, divx etc to burn on dvd-rs and play on any home dvd player?

I have 12 Videos in .mov format that I saved from .wmv format using quicktime and flip4mac. I have also tried saving them as AVI and same result.
Here's the problem, when I put them into iDVD and save as disk image to check, the videos are there, but no sound. I tried also burning them to DVD, using a maxell DVD-R 16x, and all the will come up on the dvd is the title menu. Movies will not play on my macbook or in the dvd player on TV. I tried using the .avi format but there still was no sound, and the movies were really choppy.
if i try to use iMovie, it will not even import these .mov files (doesn't let me click on them to import)
is there another format i need to export to, or change some setting to get the sound in my project, and get the movies to play have i burn them?
All the movies are approx 1hr long except one, and I was using the best performance setting putting 2 movies per dvd.
The selection of music from iTunes Music Library, is not working in iPhoto Slideshow, in my Mac Book Air. However, it works nicely in my main IMac.
The Slideshow at the Mac Book Air works only with the pre existent sources "Sample Music" and "Theme Music". The remaining library is visible on the sourcing list, but when I select any musics, they do not pop up in the window below.
