I have tried burning my iTunes purchases onto a CD, and when I try to play them back on my CD player, nothing happens. It will play back in iTunes on the Mac, but not on my CD player or in my car.
I suspect it has to do with the speed at which they burn, but I have no idea how to change that?

Make up a dvd that can play in a dvd player. Its a blu ray player, im not sure if that makes a diff, think I just have to check what types of files it plays and change them accordingly. So how do i burn a movie onto a dvd?
Other question, Im having a problem with my wireless internet. My macbook works fine everywhere else and nobody else i live with have any problems. Just my computer in my house. The internets REALLY slow. I rang NTL and they said its your computer, so rang apple and they did some tests and said its your network so I rang NTL again and they gave me a number for netgear, the people who make the router. They were NO help, you can't call them from a mobile phone and I dont have a housephone. Is there anything I can do?

can anyone tell me if you can rip an original dvd using handbrake and then burn to a dvd to play on a dvd player, if so what would be the corrrect way to do this, as i have only used a video ts folder and handbrake does not seem to offer this option. i have tried to convert using mtr 13m and fairmount to dvd2one but the resulting files do not burn in toast or just crashes. View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to backup a few of my rare DVDs that I have. I used RipIt to rip the DVD and now I have a folder with VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS in it. What freeware can I use to burn these to a DVDR so that it plays in any DVD player? I tried DVDRemaster too and I'm having the same issue. The file size is small enough to fit on a single layer DVDR.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI got my new 13" MBP two weeks ago and I've been using the F8 button solely for playing and pausing songs in iTunes. I think it's great to have this because I can easily stop my music when I want to watch a youtube video and the audio is coming from somewhere else and not iTunes for example The problem is, whenever I press the F8 button now, it stops the song in iTunes but it starts playing a video in VLC...I checked both system preferences and VLC preferences but couldn't find anywhere to control what the F8 button controls.

My configuration is i have a new Imac, and I have alot of movies in avi. format that I want to burn on a DVD and be able to play on my PS3 as that is all I use to watch movies. And I doubt that I can just burn that avi to a DVD and boom it works. So I need to know what I need to convert them to, and what is the best program to convert them (doesn't have to be free software either, just the best because it will be watched on a 61" tv, so I need quality to be awesome cause otherwise it will stretch and distort). And how to burn them with what program for them to work on my PS3.

I've tried different DVDs and I've also tried playing the movies from Video_TS folders on my HDD, still, it wont play. DVD Player will play a few seconds, then the video and audio will stop and freeze. If I try to click stop, or anything else i get a "Not Permitted" bubble appear, and if I click Pause I get a message "DVD Player has encountered a system error. Error -69889"I've tried totally removing DVD Player, its plist's, and folders and restoring a old versions from Time Machine. Still, nothing works. This also happens in Front Row.UPADTE: I fixed VLC by reinstalling it. But DVD Player and Front Row still dont function.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy DVD player software no longer functions on my Powerbook G3 Lombard (Bronze). I had a boot sector problem on my Powerbook and needed to do a wipe and reinstall. I have MacOS X 10.3 and MacOS 9.2.2 on my machine. I am aware that you can't use the 10.3 DVD player and so reinstalled 9.2.2 first. Unfortunately, I cannot find my original Powerbook system disc, so installed 9.2.2 from a G4 system disc I have. Now, the DVD player will not play DVD-Video discs in OS9.
This is a crucial function for me, as I like to watch films on it when I travel on the train. I need to find some software to reinstall from, or fix the hardware incompatibility in some other way (a patch or something). My hardware is: Macintosh Powerbook G3 "Lombard" (Bronze) 400MHz, 256MB RAM, 6GB HD, DVD-ROM. Nobody seems to have the DVD player program (1.3). They say you need 9.1 discs etcetera. I even tried one link that said download DVD player version 1.2 and a tome reader, but the tome reader download site wasn't functioning.
For years now my G4 iBook has been locked to my local Region as far as DVDs are concerned. Up until yesterday I was able to play local and R0 DVDs. Have just tried playing the same and for some reason it won't play anything. DVDs either get auto ejected or I have to restart and keep hitting F12 to get the DVD out.

I download from my Sony Handycam HRD-XR150 movie clips and pictures to build DVD présentation. What do I need to make movies that can be played on any DVD or blue ray DVD players? What format have they have to be converted into?

I have 12 Videos in .mov format that I saved from .wmv format using quicktime and flip4mac. I have also tried saving them as AVI and same result.
Here's the problem, when I put them into iDVD and save as disk image to check, the videos are there, but no sound. I tried also burning them to DVD, using a maxell DVD-R 16x, and all the will come up on the dvd is the title menu. Movies will not play on my macbook or in the dvd player on TV. I tried using the .avi format but there still was no sound, and the movies were really choppy.
if i try to use iMovie, it will not even import these .mov files (doesn't let me click on them to import)
is there another format i need to export to, or change some setting to get the sound in my project, and get the movies to play have i burn them?
All the movies are approx 1hr long except one, and I was using the best performance setting putting 2 movies per dvd.
CDs will boot fine, blank DVDs will mount fine, but when I insert a DVD movie; the drive won't mount and the DVD player will not play my discs. DVD Movies Not Played after 10.4.10 / DVD Player 4.6.1 Updates. I currently have a Pioneer DVR-109 installed in my PowerPC G5.
