I don't know what other term to use than "fade out", but when I type that in my iTunes helplist, I get nowhere.

So garageband now makes it very easy to make ringtones, but they sound stupid, when I make them because they end so abruptly.
How could I take the single track and have the music accelerate up in volume at the start, and down towards the end, so that it doesn't just start and end?
I make music videos, and I need to be able to fade-in or fade-out. Does anyone know a program with this feature? I need to be able to upload the video from my camera to the Mac and use the software to edit it.

I have it set to change every 30 minutes, and it does. However, instead of it doing the nice fade, it only changes. Not so pretty compared to the fade.

I have song compilation albums in itunes. I prefer to seach by Artist, not album. Compilation albums often assign a different artist for each song. I don't like this, as I end up with thousands of artists, each with only one song! Here's an example:
I copy "Classical Chillout" compilation album to itunes. 30 songs show up, each with their own (new) artist name, song name, and all within the album "Classical Chillout.
Instead of having:
SONG Adagio for Strings
ARTIST Samuel Barber
ALBUM Classical Chillout
I want to batch rename all songs so that the Album name becomes the Artist and each "Artist" name is inserted into the "Song" name
SONG Samuel Barber- Adagio for Strings

ALBUM Classical Chillout
I know you can use iTunes dj to "play song next" or whatever but I don't like iTunes DJ for the fact that you don't have 100% control over what songs are playing if you want to pinpoint certain songs, etc..
Is there any way that I can line up a song to play after the current song without interrupting the current song and immediately playing the song I want next?
When I download some of my music, it shows up in the User's download file in the Finder, can I delete file in the Finder folder without losing the music file on iTunes?

I purchased a song on itunes but only half the song downloaded. When I go to quick links and select purchase, I see the song as purchased but it wont download. It is behaving like a song you would listen to on itunes. It has the arrow with blue back round still. What can I do to get my song completely downloaded.

This is SO frustrating. I bring in my new iMac for the techs to move my iTunes over, I bring it home and have not been able to listen to one song. I double click on it and it says "Cannot find file, locate?" I say yes, it brings me to the album artwork. I have a decent size music library(40+gig) on my late MB and i find that iTunes is slow to load when I open it and sometimes when im clicking around songs there is a half second pause before the song is highlighted and then starts to play. Since the program is pulling the info off the HD im thinking that if i got a higher capacity 7200 rpm drive that this would help (currently my stock 150gig only has 50gigs left) with this stutter or would upgrading to 4gig ram?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter importing HD video (from a Canon Vixia HV40) into iMovie 11 (v 9.04) at 960x540 resolution, you get a bunch of .mov files. Does anyone know why those .mov files, as they come out of the import process,will not import into iTunes? Here are the details. My brother wanted to put a small one onto his iPad. I told him the simplest way (or so I thought) to do it would be to import the .mov file into iTunes (v 10.6.1) and then sync his iPad. There was no need to make a project from the single clip, then share it. However, iTunes will not import any of the .mov files made with the iMovie import. Does anyone know why? This happens on my iMac (core i7) and his (core i5). Of course, if I open the .mov file in QuickTime Player (v 10.1) then export to a .m4v file (export setting "iPad, iPhone & Apple TV"), the new file imports into iTunes just fine. In case iTunes thinks you shouldn't be importing clips from the iMovie events folder, I dragged the clip to the desktop and tried the import, but that did not work either. I guess what this comes down to is given that iMovie, QuickTime Player and iTunes all come from Apple, why can iMovie and QuickTime Player read the file while iTunes cannot? I would think the same code would be in all three products (do the iMovie and QuickTime Player developers refuse to share, while the iTunes developers are lazy?).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI replaced an older lesser quality mp3 with a higher quality version by replacing the original file. I've done this hundreds of times without a problem. I'm using 10.6.1, and when I replaced a song in this manner yesterday, I am unable to click on the end of the timeline of the song. It will only advance to the :35 second mark left in the song. Fast forwarding through the song also stops at the same point. It refuses to advance beyond that :35 left mark except by letting it play normally. I know the new file advances fine in iTunes if I drag it into iTunes and create a duplicate version.Is there some metadata from the old file that is causing iTunes to think the new file ends early because it is a few megs larger? Can this be cleared by a method other than reimporing the song new? I'd like to keep the Date Added, Ratings, and Play count info.

My itunes is not playing songs properly since I upgraded to itunes 10.
It played all songs fine before but since to upgrade the songs are jumping like they would if they were a scratched CD. The songs play fine coming from my ipod and my iphone. It's driving me crazy and I cant use my itunes anymore because of it.
I have no idea why this is happening or HOW I can fix it as I am a bit of a technotard.
