I have about 130 songs that is converted to mp3 and want to burn it on a c.d. Only 19 songs out of the 130 will burn at a time?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
I would like to burn AAC files as MP3 in iTunes. I tried checking the option MP3 CD in the burning dialog box but it didn't work, It said something like these files cannot be burned as mp3, these are songs from the iTunes store (aac files).
How can this be done in iTunes if your songs are AAC?
Do I need to convert them to MP3s first? If yes, will this convert my downloaded files (.aac files form iTunes store ) to mp3s as well?
If I try to do this in iTunes I get a CD where the songs are in AIFF format and I can't play them on every CD player. And with every other burner or converter is the same, I obtain only AIFF files. Consider that I've already tried a lot of converters and in iTunes doesn't work!

It is supposed to be the best burning package on mac. But I doubt it. I convert videos to dvd-video format using the absolutely brilliant windows7 application convertxtodvd. Please dont tell me to use a mac application instead of it. I tried it many times, there were always several problems(slow speed, subs etc). This is not the case here.
So, I want these dvd-videos in Video_ts format, to be burned in dvd disks using toast. It is supposed that video_ts folder are a standard folder, no matter the system you use. But toast has a different opinion. When I drag the folder in the dvd-video window, it asks to re-encode the video!!!If I try to burn this video_ts folder in windows machine using 'nero', no problem at all, straight burning! I really cannot understand why this happens.
Another problem I have is that the files I want toast to burn, usually reside to network computer. Is there any way to burn files from a network computer(win) using toast? Can toast access network or not? If not, I have to manually copy files to local disk, several minutes spent for copying gigabytes just to be able to burn them.
Everytime I try to burn a disc, I keep getting the message "The attempt to burn a CD failed. The burn failed because of a medium write error".

I was trying to save some files onto a blank DVD and it got so far and then failed each time. I cant remember the exact message but it was something about loosing connection to the DVD?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi want to burn multiple tom and jerry files for my daughter onto one single dvd so i can play it on the dvd player for her. Each file is about 75 MBS (8 mins episodes) but altogether they make upto 1.7 gb. The DVD-RW is 4.7 GB more than enough room i know but i just don't know what software to use that will allow me to burn them all and be playable on a dvd player. I am using the 27" imac and these files work fine on quicktime.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI compiled cdrdao for Mac OS X. This can burn bin/cue files very easily. The only cue/bin pair which haven't worked for me thus far had spaces and hyphens in the file-name. Changing the file name and editing the cue file to reflect that solved the problem.
You can download my binary from here:[URL]
The command is used thusly:
Insert a blank CD, tell the finder to ignore the CD and continue.
type: sudo ./cdrdao write -device IOCompactDiscServices blah.cue
If run as root cdrdao will use high priority threads to avoid underruns.
If you have a DVD burner you would use "IODVDServices" instead.
If your CD-R isn't known (like mine wasn't) you can select a specific driver. For example this is in my .tcshrc file:
alias cue sudo /Users/anarkhos/cdr/cdrdao write --device IOCompactDiscServices --driver generic-mmc
thus to burn anything I just type "cue blah.cue"
How would I burn it to a DVD quickly so I can use it on my DVD player?

I burn a cd every month of my documents and photos. My Mac has no problem reading the files from the disc, but my PC seems to only "read" the photos. When I try to read the text files (.doc, .rtf, etc.) I get an "access denied" msg.My Mac is Tiger 10.4.11, WORD is 2004, both fully up to date; everything pretty vanilla. My PC is a senior citizen with W98, and WORD 2000 and is not connected to the Internet.

I have 12 Videos in .mov format that I saved from .wmv format using quicktime and flip4mac. I have also tried saving them as AVI and same result.
Here's the problem, when I put them into iDVD and save as disk image to check, the videos are there, but no sound. I tried also burning them to DVD, using a maxell DVD-R 16x, and all the will come up on the dvd is the title menu. Movies will not play on my macbook or in the dvd player on TV. I tried using the .avi format but there still was no sound, and the movies were really choppy.
if i try to use iMovie, it will not even import these .mov files (doesn't let me click on them to import)
is there another format i need to export to, or change some setting to get the sound in my project, and get the movies to play have i burn them?
All the movies are approx 1hr long except one, and I was using the best performance setting putting 2 movies per dvd.
I have macbook pro and use lion. i have maxell dvd+r 4.7 dvd disk which actually works when burning jpeg files. now i want to burn several pdf files that total small 108.6 megabytes. i create a burn file, put the pdf files in it select burn, select the slowest burn speed and i get the message: The disc can’t be burned, because the device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having difficulties burning 88.x MB DMG files to CDs (new CD-Rs and an old CD-RW) onto two different external USB2 disc burner drives (both have power AC connected: HP and LG Super brands). The new Mac Mini (no disc slot drive)'s updated 64-bit Mac OS X 10.7.4's Disk Utilities tries to burn and then fail right away or after a few seconds. The error says "Unable to burn 'whatever.dmg' (The disc drive did not respond properly and can't recover or retry." Nothing interesting in dmesg, but Disk Utility's logs had details:[URL].Â
I do see my drives' lights on during the burn. I can quick erase the old CD-RW fine. I can burn 538 MB from an 64-bit Windows 8 on my Acer AM3800 PC with the same discs and external burner drives without any problems. Also, I thought it was my USB cable extension, but it wasn't it. I don't use any USB hubs either. DMG files are fine too. I did notice copying from a CD to Mac Mini's local HDD was slow, but no failures.Â
