Whenever I make a playlist in iTunes to the order I want to burn the songs in, after the CD has been burned it has changed the order of the songs. I have tried clicking on the 'copy to play order' button on that playlist folder, but nothing seems to work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to burn some audio mix CDs from my iTunes collection, and as my MacBook Pro's Superdrive has got fluff in it or something similar, I am sharing my library with my girlfriend's iMac and attempting to burn from there. We both run the current iTunes, but I have the burn options on my MBP's menu but cannot see any burn options on the iMac's menu or in the playlist window. It's not just my library I can't burn on her iMac, I couldn't burn any of her library either. It's not that burn options are greyed out, they aren't there at all. Very odd considering we are both running current iTunes.

I have been using itunes for many years and have burned countless cd's. Suddenly on many of my standard sized playlists I am getting the 'the songs in this playlist will not fit on one audio cd' prompt and nothing I do seems to fix it. A typical playlist size is 18 songs, 1.2 hours, under 200mb, and all of this should fit fine on an 80min., 700mb cd. I have tried changing from audio to mp3 in the burning preferences, then to a data cd {which actually looks like it sort of worked, but put the songs in artists alphabetical order- rearranging my entire mix}.. Since I imported my library from an older IMac to a newer one- many songs are cutting off at some random point in the song.. and, oddly enough, if an entire album the cut-off time is the same for every song in that album..

For some reason I'm no longer able to add mp3 files to an iTunes playlist. I can play the songs individually but can't make a playlist with the files. When I try to drag and drop them they just get a red cross and they don't get added.
Any suggestions on why this is and what to do?
I have a nice playlist full of 8 GB of music, now I want to transfer those files (in no particular order) onto my mini USB thumb drive to use in my car. What is the best way to do this in an organized way? I was thinking of right clicking on every album and "reveal in finder", then manually transfer that album's folder to keep it all organized in the USB drive. I'm trying to setup a few USB drives to function like an old multi-CD changer would.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a playlist of 28 songs that are various file types. I would like to convert them to aiff. I went to the playlist and selected all, right clicked and selected Create aiff version. It made them but I have to search for each one and then put it in a new playlist.
Is there a way to make iTunes put them in one folder or a better way to gather them all to the new playlist then clicking on Music on the left and putting the title in the search box and dragging them one by one to the new playlist?
I'm putting together a huge selection of reggae and island music for a luau and was wondering if, when I transfer the playlist to my iPod Touch, if it will keep the order of the songs or rearrange them to alphabetical. I'd like to keep the order I put it in, not alphabetical. Thoughts?

I would like to burn AAC files as MP3 in iTunes. I tried checking the option MP3 CD in the burning dialog box but it didn't work, It said something like these files cannot be burned as mp3, these are songs from the iTunes store (aac files).
How can this be done in iTunes if your songs are AAC?
Do I need to convert them to MP3s first? If yes, will this convert my downloaded files (.aac files form iTunes store ) to mp3s as well?
If I try to do this in iTunes I get a CD where the songs are in AIFF format and I can't play them on every CD player. And with every other burner or converter is the same, I obtain only AIFF files. Consider that I've already tried a lot of converters and in iTunes doesn't work!

It is supposed to be the best burning package on mac. But I doubt it. I convert videos to dvd-video format using the absolutely brilliant windows7 application convertxtodvd. Please dont tell me to use a mac application instead of it. I tried it many times, there were always several problems(slow speed, subs etc). This is not the case here.
So, I want these dvd-videos in Video_ts format, to be burned in dvd disks using toast. It is supposed that video_ts folder are a standard folder, no matter the system you use. But toast has a different opinion. When I drag the folder in the dvd-video window, it asks to re-encode the video!!!If I try to burn this video_ts folder in windows machine using 'nero', no problem at all, straight burning! I really cannot understand why this happens.
Another problem I have is that the files I want toast to burn, usually reside to network computer. Is there any way to burn files from a network computer(win) using toast? Can toast access network or not? If not, I have to manually copy files to local disk, several minutes spent for copying gigabytes just to be able to burn them.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust went from Windows to mac and want to bring my windows itunes playlists. when I hit export and save it on a usb and hit import in mac itunes, then I get the playlist but its all empty. It kinda sucks if I have to sort out all the good stuff again, so I hope I can get my old playlist back. I have it on my ipod touch as well, so I dunno if you can transfer playlist from ipod to mac
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an older iPod that has some playlists on it that are not in my iTune library. I want this same playlist on my iPhone but when I do an 'export' then try to drag and drop into my phone I get a message saying it did not copy because 'it cannot be played on this phone'. I also cannot drag and drop it into iTunes anywhere either. All of these songs are in my library, I just don't want to have to go through and remake this playlist to add to my phone.

All of my playlist are missing and I am afraid to connect my ipod for fear that I may lose those as well.

I'm running OS X 10.9.2 and iTunes 11.2.2 and out of the blue, my iTunes Playlists are not displaying/ not visible in the left pane under "Playlists". It's as if I have no playlists anymore. If I attempt to create a new playlist, nothing new is visible (i.e. the Playlist pane still appears empty). However, all of my music is still viewable and playable. In fact, if I play a song, I may click on its arrow and add it to any of my 20 or so playlists. So they are all visible from the drop down menu on any song that's playing.
Just now, I attempted to restore an older "iTunes Music library" file (.itl) by trashing the current one and replacing it with one from my previous "iTunes Libraries" folder. I restarted iTunes (holding down the option key), selected the previous version library and still the Playlists will not display.
Without downloading the album, U2 songs appears on my playlist out of nowhere. However, when i connect my iphone to the laptop, the album doesn't show up in the itunes, so how could i delete/get rid if it??

I would like to make a playlist to include favorite songs from a single artist. For instance have a list for John Williams, and etc. Is this possible in iTunes?
