When viewing pretty much any artist page on the iTunes store, I get the attached message. Why or how to resolve it? It's nothing show stopping, just a bit annoying.

I'd like to restore the Dock from CoreServices when I first installed Leopard. When I click restore it doesn't let me restore it because the Dock is now in use.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI like to have the application dock auto hide on my mac book pro, but I also have a couple applications that require me to click near the bottom of the window. Is it possible to temporarily disable the dock from appearing while I move the mouse near the bottom of the screen, perhaps like it's possible to disable the magnification with one of the modifier buttons?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI temporarily lost all sound on my MacBook Pro. I hooked it up to my television and had good sound. Then I unplugged it from the TV and lost all sound. I couldn't get sound through the speakers on my computer, television, or iPod headphones. I went online and searched for similar problems. I was amazed at how many people had the same problem. Many of these people were forced to send their computers to Apple to have it fixed. I found this: [URL]

I use about 300gb of space in my hd, and want to upgrade to a raid-0 (2x1tero) hd configuration... and use my current 500gb drive for my time machine hd. Will that work up until i approach 400-500 gb? Or do i need a 2 tero hd for time machine to work at all? I am not that concerned with having time machine go back too far, i just want an uptodate backup mostly...

As much as I trust him, I have a suspicion he might vandalise my facebook or bid on something on ebay, since firefox remembers my passwords. So, if I drag firefox out of applications and onto a pendrive, will i be able to stop it working and then drag it back on the next day? (I know it would work with most apps, but I don't know where firefox keeps passwords and cookies etc)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had this problem for some time, on Leopard and on Snow Leopard (don't remember about Tiger), where my mac freezes for 2-5 seconds when my external drives are woken up. This happens often when I access the "file open" window, it will just sit there until the drive is started.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Mac Pro with all hard drive slots filled. The first two disks (includes startup disk) are independent, and 3 and 4 are set up in a RAID 1 mirror. I have to take my computer into the Apple store for a repair and I'd like to just take out all the disks except for my startup disk... however I'm not sure how to go about doing so for the RAID. If I take the drives out, and boot up the computer with them no longer inside, will the computer "freak out" and/or will the computer no longer recognize the RAID if I put them back in again later?
If the latter is the case, will the data be lost or would I just have to set up the RAID again... and if I do that, will that also cause the data on the drives to be lost, or is it possible for it to mirror them again without needing to make changes to the data?
This morning when I plugged in my MagSafe Power Adapter to my MacBook Pro, I heard a 'pop' sound. It sounded like fuse going or something. Then I noticed that the Green light was not turning on, nor was the Amber light. I then unplugged everything and let it sit there for about 30 seconds and then plugged everything back in. The Green light then turned on and the MBP recognized it as a power source. The question is should I be worried? AppleCare expires for me in December of this year.

On my iMac I have 2 operating systems installed, and Windows 7 and Mac OSX. Until recently I did not use OSX, but I tried as it looks. But now, back when I want Windows 7, I will begin when you turn to run Mac OSX. I know how to switch to Windows, but only temporarily, off the PC and when starting to hold the Alt key and selected by Windows. But after turning the PC begins to load OSX again.

I just bought a used macbook pro 2010 from Craigslist. Whenever I start the laptop, it keeps taking me to the OS X utilities.Â
When I try to "Reinstall OS X", it asks me to Install OS X Mavericks. After putting in my apple login, it says "item is temporarily unavailable".Â
How do I install OS X Mavericks or update to Yosemite?

I Have a Question about iCal & what would be the best way to set up a calender that displays work days but also shows "Holiday" time in the same calender At the present time it has the work times set to repeat weekly but the main issue I have is when I put the "Holiday" time in I don't want the work events popping up every day on the break. I know there isn't much I can do with it but I will like to hear your thoughts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI noticed my trackpad started acting funky last night. It won't happen right away when I turn my MBP on, but usually after some time (depends). First thing that happens: it responds slowly; it will move the pointer less than it would normally and it will judder along. Pressing harder doesn't help and sometimes two-finger scrolling won't work one way, or sometimes using my other finger will work better. After some more time, it will stop responding entirely or get unusably slow. I noticed restarting fixes it (temporarily; once again, it depends). Just before posting this, it happened until it didn't want to work at all, and I let it sit for a few minutes, came back, and it worked fine. Ten or so minutes later, its still working (no restart). It's troubling and I'll probably take it to an Apple Store to have it checked out, but I won't have time to do that for some time, so I'd like to see if this is possibly something well-known or fixable.
I thought it might be dirty, but I cleaned it, well, a few times, and still nothing. My hands are clean, too. I thought it might be something I "spilled" onto my keyboard a few days earlier; it wasn't anything watery, it was a rather thick consistency. I hope that isn't it, as I cleaned it quick and well, and it wasn't on the trackpad, and the keyboard works perfectly. The only thing I was doing when it first happened was video chatting via MSN (MSN gets my Mac hot, and I was worried it was the heat that did something, but IDK for sure). I only started using MSN about a week ago, and it gets my Mac really heated each time I use it. I did some searching on Google about this, but nothing quite like my situation. I haven't looked at everything, but, nothing yet.
I recently got a MBP (i7 2.66ghz, 8gbs ram, 7200rpm hard drive) and since I got it apps seem to temporarily (like for 10-15 seconds) freeze (only 1 at any time normally) and i'll get the spinning beach ball thing. Even if I only have say 1 app open (like safari) it'll hang up for 10 or so seconds randomly. It happens say maybe once or twice every hour (but having said that i've used it hours at once with a lot more than one application open and it hasn't done it) on various apps and I don't know why. Is it normal? I wouldn't think 1 app such as safari or itunes running should do that? It's not a problem(?) that bothers me really, I just want to know if something might be wrong? I've only had the notebook for a week so far and it's my first Mac.
View 2 Replies View RelatedExperiment Results: Temporarily removing Events and Projects from libraryÂ
REASON: I wanted to test removing events and especially ram-hungry projects from FCPX 10.1 to unclog the app a bit. I've been getting lots of spinning wheel time and dropdown windows saying projects unopened and unneeded were being loaded.Â
METHOD: I copied a library to another drive and experimented by manually removing some events made up entirely of projects. Why not remove them? There seems to be hysteria about manually touching the library but no one relates an actual incident that highlights how things can go wrong.Â
I copied a library to another drive and experimented by manually removing some events made up entirely of projects.  The projects are early versions of segments of feature length doc I most likely will never need to bring back in. After removing an Event that had only Projects, FCPX opened no problem and a lot quicker.Â
ODDITY: Removed Events names still appeared with the twirly triangle beside them tho the event icon didn't appear and the Events were empty. I tried trashing them but couldn’t. I then closed fcpx and removed media. Reopened no problem. Closed. Â
Returned Event folders and media to their proper place, reopened no problem. The projects were all there tho their icons were blank at first but then after a couple minutes pics started appearing in them and pretty soon all seemed normal. I opened projects, they worked, no problem.Â
Moving projects & media manually between events—This may be where things get dicey, but you could do this manually with earlier versions of FCPX. It's not something I would do normally since ti's too easy to do in FCPX. But since I have this copy I might try it just to see what happens. If you don't experiment it's not science it's religion.
Trying to download Snow Leopard, I repeatedly am told "This is temporarily unavailable". Why is that?

I have a brand new MBP. I have a 1tb external drive with 250gb's of music. I have it attached to my mac via USB. I CANNOT GET ITUNES TO CREATE A NEW LIBRARY ON THE EXTERNAL DRIVE. I CANNOT DRAG AND DROP OR ADD FILE/FOLDER.
But get this, I hook it up to my old Dell and I can do whatever I want. I am friggin pissed that I spent all this money on Mac equip and can't get it going. You may have seen my other post where I posed my issue of: 1tb ethernet drive hooked to airport extreme. Above mentioned 1tb hooked up to back of it via usb. I am completely unable to copy, move, or add files using my mac. But guess what. my pc handles it easily and quickly.
