Is there any way to get riped tv shows to show up under the "TV Shows" section instead of the movies.
Is the only way to get shows listed as "TV Shows" to buy them from Apple?

For some reason, collections/videos that appear in the iTunes U section cannot be sorted by name. Even if you add a sortname to the videos, they can't seem to be sorted. What gives? I've had a few things that came in out of order (it looks like some files were re-released and with about 50 items, it makes it a chore to hunt down the correct file to view.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy daughter has a dance project in school. She wants a song to start at the beginning, stop at 1:05, start again at 2:07 and go to the end. I tried creating a seperate file so I could do starts and stops on both to do this, but the playlist sees it as a duplicate.

Is it possible to move an item from the "More" section of the Contextual Menu up to the main section? In the attached screen shot you can see an item "Snag Path Unix" at the very bottom. I use this function about 100 times a day and it is very inconvenient that I have to go through a submenu for that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently downloaded audiobooks are not appearing in the 'BOOKS' category, but in the main music library. I have tried dragging and dropping so that they appear there, but to no avail. Have also changed the info so that it reads 'books' or 'audiobooks' but they will not appear in the Books section of my library which makes finding them tricky. I have previously downloaded titles and they have been recognised as Audiobooks and been properly categorized. (These recent titles have been downloaded from Audiogo. )

I handbrake'd a new music video dvd that I bought yesterday at a concert, and I can rip them fine using the ATV preset. But when i rip them it goes to the movie section in itunes instead of the music folder I told them to go to. Anyway I can get ripped music videos to go into the music section?

I am relatively new to iTunes, and have burned dozens of CDs before. However, all of those CDs have been complete albums. I tried to burn my first mix recently, and found that the CD had been burned with the songs in the wrong order.
I must be doing something wrong, but there doesn't seem to be too many areas where iTunes makes it even possible to mess something this simple up, so I pretty confused.
I make a playlist, hit burn CD, select Audio CD, and go. The songs make it, but like I said, in the wrong order. They get organized by album, but I just want the CD to look like the playlist on the computer.
Has anyone run into something like this? It is iTunes 8.0.2.
I have multiple Podcast Libraries. Which Podcast file is in the correct place? I can combine the other Podcasts after knowing the correct path. "iTunes New" is my external hard drive housing iTunes.Â

I use a Mac Mini to launch iTunes with library saved in an external drive. Now my Mac Mini retires and I replaced it with a new one. I launch iTunes on the new Mac and reconnect to the library in the external drive.Â
How come my wav files are shown in correct albums in old Mac but shown in unknown albums in new Mac? What must I transfer from the old mac to new mac show wav files in their right places?Â
I have tried importing the library xml file but it didn't work.Â
Long story short, I've been trying to move my entire iTunes from a NAS to my Mac and it's got messy and I'm left with a situation whereby all the songs are safe on the Mac in the correct folders, e.g. Bruce Springsteen songs in the correct album folder in the Bruce Springsteen parent folder, HOWEVER, when I try to play certain songs (not all) on iTunes it skips over the track and doesn't even highlight it with an "!". When I check the file path it will show iTunes/iTunes Media/Music/Madonna (for Bruce Springsteen).Â
So, my question is, how can I now re-associate the songs paths in iTunes app with the correct folders? Is there a script or can I somehow reimport the songs? I'm not worried about losing ratings, last played, play count, etc. but I wouldn't want to lose my playlists.Â

I have imported two different audiobooks into iTunes.I am using itunes 10.3.6 on a macbook pro, mountain lion osx.I do have itunes match, and I turned off match to import the audiobooks so that I could go in and change the "media type" to audiobook. However, now some of the tracks (not all) are grayed out and inaccessible on my iphone.When trying to play the audiobook it just skips the tracks that are gray and moves on to the next black track.I've tried re-syncing and it doesn't help.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with SOME of my albums in itunes. Some of them ( aprox 20%) are displaying the sogns within an album in an alphabetical order. I do not have "track" in the column header selected. I have tried selecting "track #"but this does not rectify the track names into the original album order. I can not manually enter the track number either in the "track #" field to manually rectify this as iTunes does not allow you do this. It is really frustrating that I have to listen to some of my albums in alpabetical song name order rather than the order the artist wanted me to. The first cause my old laptop when to the great binary cloud in the sky, the second cause I want to be able to consolidate my media. Over the years I have ripped by CDs and DVDs so when the time came I could stream all my media through out my house and devices. Because I will be using the Mac primarily for the forseeable future, I have moved my music and movies into their respective iTunes folders. I have started to move my TV shows. But when you add the folder in iTunes I am still only getting the lovely iStore Advert telling me to start looking. Is it because my store is the Irish iTunes Store? So does anyone have some advice as the best way to store my TV Shows and get them to show in iTunes.

I just purchased a TV show, but when I try to play it, it wont play. It asks me to Authorize my computer, but the thing is, it's already authorized. I tried to de-authorize it and re-authorize it, but it still doesn't work. And it's not just this one episode, I just noticed I cant watch anything I have purchased in the past.
