ITunes :: Delete Incorrect Cover Art And Replace It With The Correct Cover Art?
May 20, 2012How do you delete incorrect cover art and replace it with the correct cover art?
View 2 RepliesHow do you delete incorrect cover art and replace it with the correct cover art?
View 2 RepliesLong story short, I've been trying to move my entire iTunes from a NAS to my Mac and it's got messy and I'm left with a situation whereby all the songs are safe on the Mac in the correct folders, e.g. Bruce Springsteen songs in the correct album folder in the Bruce Springsteen parent folder, HOWEVER, when I try to play certain songs (not all) on iTunes it skips over the track and doesn't even highlight it with an "!". When I check the file path it will show iTunes/iTunes Media/Music/Madonna (for Bruce Springsteen).Â
So, my question is, how can I now re-associate the songs paths in iTunes app with the correct folders? Is there a script or can I somehow reimport the songs? I'm not worried about losing ratings, last played, play count, etc. but I wouldn't want to lose my playlists.Â

picked up a unibody last Saturday night, and opened the battery cover tonight. The latch was opened with little resistance, but now won't close. The latch edge sits about 1/8" up, and I can't find anything which would seem to prevent it from closing.
Anyone else had a troublesome battery latch, and how did you resolve it?
I find that I swipe on my macbook pro to go through the cover flow, I find that it lags or freezes then flies by as if to catch up. But then it freezes again, flies by, irritating. Has anyone else experienced this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedLet's say I have 4 songs from the same album, and each song has their only album art.
Why is it that when I'm in Cover Flow mode it shows art for a different song on the album and not the one I'm listening to?
It should just show the art for the song that's currently playing
Many Podcasts which I subscribed doesn't have any Cover Art but on the iTunes Store they have all a logo. It's a lack of the Podcat producers?Honestly it's not a "problem", but sometimes I find it esthetically annoying.

this album is on iTunes. so there is cover art. i put in my CD and get an incorrect picture and CD listing. i fix this, i then try to import the correct picture and get nothing. i USED to be able to fix this by making sure that the album name, artist, and song name were the exact same as iTunes store....no dice now. the iTunes art is clearer than any Jpeg i will find...i would prefer it..but HOW? if i could just GRAB the art or point iTunes at the listing in the store, i would be appeased.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHave noticed that when in iTunes and selecting full screen cover flow mode that when the screen fades in to the full screen view instead of it being a smooth fade there is a flicker. Screenshot below shows what I mean by the flicker. Anyone have any idea why this is happening. Don't think it has done this before only just started doing it, probably since iTunes 7.6
View 7 Replies View RelatedHow about fixing this one apple, when viewing/listening to a dvd/cd from a shared itunes library via front row, the artwork (CD covers/DVD Box Art) is blank. This worked in the leopard betas' but never has worked since release. I thought Apple was all about the experience, I guess they don't care about Front Row and shared libraries.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to the most latest i Tunes version, the cover flow view has gone all screwy, with no covers appearing, just the list of songs, which covers up the volume control etc at the top.
I have tried resizing but all it what's to do is move songs; I have uninstalled and reinstalled latest version, uninstalled and installed older version and even reinstalled OSX. NOTHING works.
How do you get the itunes Album Cover Art on the desktop?

I'm using a 15" Macbook/retina, OS X 10.9.4, ITunes 11.3.1 (2). ITunes shows the album art. But if I go to the files themselves, finder shows some with art some without. Why? I currently have one file that shows no art in icon or list view. In column and cover flow, it shows art in the info pane but not the highlighted file. I can move the file out of ITunes and the art shows up everywhere but icon view. Other files, show the art in all the right places.Â

Is there an app (preferably free) that will automatically add cover art and metadata like artist and album name by song title? I've got a bunch of music that has only the song title, but is not categorized by anything. I remember seeing something like this before, but can't remember what it was. Is there anything that can do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay, so for two of my albums (both by the same artist) there are three pictures of each album as if they are each their own album. Every song is tagged the exact same, nothing's different, artist name and album name are the same throughout. Screenshot attached. I've tried clearing album art, deleting and reimporting, nothing seems to fix this.
Also, on that same album, half the songs don't play on my iPhone/iPod. They play perfectly fine on my Mac, and they are encoded the same as all of my other songs, but when I go to play them on my iPhone, the song never starts. Nothing freezes, the song just never plays. I have to restart the iPod app for any other song to play. I've tried restarts, restores, firmware upgrades, nothing. This problem has existed since 1.1.4. Why?
So I just did a clean install of XP on my laptop, downloaded the latest version of iTunes, and re-imported my music library from my external drive. Suddenly, random albums are showing multiple album art on Cover Flow. I'm sorting cover flow by "Album Artist", I've checked the "Part of a Compilation" box when appropriate, and made sure the "Sort Album Artist" field is correct.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThree times in the last week iTunes (10.6.1) is missing coverart for about 30 of 300 movies. This is also happening with music artwork. The artwork can be individually repopulated using "Get Info" but this is really just a bandaid and I would like to know if anyone knows why this is happening and how to fix the root cause.

How do you get rid or or replace incorrect artwork for album covers?

I've bought a few audiobooks from [URL] to listen to during my travels, but the cover art is extremely low resolution. I've tried the usual ways of importing a higher-res version but it appears that I'm not allowed to change it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOn my Nokia E72, the music player wont read album art unless it is set as "Cover Front" in the metadata of the file. I heard that iTunes tags album art as "User Defined", which it will not read.
Is there a way to change the tag for a *LARGE* number of files to "Cover Front" ?
I have purchased a number of HD and SD movies that include iTunes Extras. All but one of the these movies show as Unknown Album in Cover Flow (under the artwork). The detailed listing in iTunes reflects the correct names. The correct names show up on my iPad and Apple TV. I have worked with Apple Support, to include a senior advisor. We have tried the following at least once and they now tell me they have exhausted all the possible solutions. Confirmed information in Get Info was correct.Changed the information in Get Info.Re-downloaded the movies after deleting the problem movies. This was done multiple times.Reinstalled Mac OS.Deleted and reinstalled iTunes.Â
A few observations. When I delete the Extras from iTunes the title under the artwork for the movie in Cover Flow shows the correct title. The one movie that is correct has one artwork poster for the movie and one artwork poster for Extras. All others have only one artwork poster and appears to share the same artwork poster. The file size represented in iTunes detail listing for the Extras is significantly lower than the file size on my hard drive. The same can be said for the movies (all movies, not just those with Extras), but not to the same degree. For example, one Extras in iTunes is 13mb in the detail listing and on the hard drive it is 772mb. This example and all Extras work correctly.Â

I have gone to great effort to scan in and add back cover artwork to many of my albums.Â
It used to work that I could view the back cover (or any other additional artwork) that I added to a song by clicking a set of forward and backward arrows that were to the left and right of where it says "Now playing" or "Selected item". Now with iTunes 10.6 (maybe before) I can no longer flip through my songs that have more than one artwork graphic added. I've tried right clicking, opening the artwork into the separate window nothing. There doesn't seem to be a way anymore to view my back covers.

I keep my large music collection on an external drive connected to an Airport Extreme in my home. I've embedded all my album artwork in the music files, and previously all the album artwork was displaying perfectly in iTunes. After upgrading to iTunes 10.5, however, most of my albums are missing the album art in the album list and Cover Flow. I know that the art is still in the file because it shows up in the "Now Playing" box in the lower left corner of the screen. The only way I have found to get the album art to show up again in the album list and Cover Flow is to go through the following steps: Â Control-click the first track of an album for which the cover art is not displaying correctly. From the context menu that appears, select Get Info.Click on the Artwork tab, then click Cancel.Â
Now the artwork shows up in iTunes in all views. I called Apple Support and asked if there's a faster way to fix the issue with the database. Manually fixing each album for hundreds of albums is no fun. Telling iTunes to Get Album Artwork doesn't work because most of my music was not purchased from iTunes but was ripped from CDs I already own. It's very frustrating because I already spent hours finding and embedding the hi-res album art in my files. I paid extra for Apple products because I expect them to at least avoid corrupting my databases.
Usually a CD comes with more artwork than just the cover. It has a CD cover w/ lyrics and other artwork. Is it possible to download this via itunes? If not, who?

is there a flip down cover on the Mac Pro casing?
In other words, with a third part optical drive, is the colour of the tray exposed at all times (showing black or beige) or is this covered by something when the tray is closed?
I just bought a clear speck case for the MBA. I noticed that the case weighs a little bit and when the top cover is on, at a certain angle, it closes the MBA due to the sheer weight.
Over time, will this loosen the hinge?
On another point, how the **** do you get the top cover off easily? I scratched the cover with a credit card the first time around! The thing is almost impossible to pry off!
