View 2 RepliesYesterday I tried to send a Quicktime movie that I made with iMovie as an attachment to an email. I knew something was wrong when it kept "sending" for hours. I could not get it to stop, no matter what I tried. I used Force Quit on Mail: no effect on the spinning circles. I shut the computer down and then restarted. Signed into Mail--> still had spinning circles. I took the mailboxes offline and then put them back online: spinning circles remained.
I deleted all of the outgoing messages several times, but whenever I came back, they reappeared. I shut off my computer overnight. This morning the spinning circles are gone, and a static circle remains, and I am unable to send or receive email. What can I do? I have four Mac mail accounts and they all have important information in them. How can I unfreeze my mail? BTW, the gmail accounts that go to the mac account are ok--it is just the "@mac.com" accounts that are frozen. I cannot find this in a search.
I'm having trouble send PDF file and Jpegs as a small attachments in apple mail. They always go opened fully instead of a small attachment!

For work, I need to send photos to my editor via email. In Mail, the jpgs automatically become embedded in the body of the the email, but my editor would prefer to receive them as attachments. Is there any way to send photos as attachments in Mail, rather than embedded email itself?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to send email attachments as actual attachments rather than embedded in the body of the message. I tried typing "defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -tool yes" in Applications/Utilities/Terminal which I thought had worked before, but no luck now.

I've tried logging in and out of my iMessage account. Has not fixed anything.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an HP 8000 hooked up with a USB cable. I've tried disconnecting everything, restarting, trying different ports, nothing is working. I also tried resetting the print system in system prefs, reinstalling the drivers as well. When I try to print the printer just sits there. Its always stuck on sending print data. I don't use this printer often but it used to work and I would get this problem once or twice every few months. I solved it just by restarting but now it wont go away.

Have an emac running 10.4.11 and iPhoto '08 (7.1.5). Moving to a new imac. I'm really only concerned with transferring my iPhoto library and mail - how is this done? I've got an external FW drive enclosure coming. But from that point, with the external drive now connected to the iMac ... is it as simple as dragging the library over to the new iMac (any compatibility issues between OS or iPhoto versions?). And what about mail - is there a need to actually transfer messages over or will they all be downloaded from the server upon first login?
I received my iMac 27" i7, 8GB RAM with the ATI Radeon HD 4850 Graphics Card.
All was going well (well-ish. Got the 27" yellowing fever, but i'll worry about that later) until I tried to import photos from my Nikon D700 DSLR Camera.
I plug the camera into the computer as I have always done with my previous mac but the computer doesn't mount the camera so I can import things. I tried importing with Nikon's Tranfer Software, Adobe Lightroom, and iPhoto and none of them recognised the camera.
I know the camera isn't the problem because I can still import from the camera to another iMac ('07 or '08 model i think).
The computer that will import is running the latest version of Leopard, with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. My 27" is running the latest version of Snow leopard.
How do I save photos in an e-mail into iphoto?

I had around 300 photos on my iMac, (running OS X Mavericks), and whenever they I open them, or sometimes on random, they will duplicate themselves. I started with 300 original photos and by the end of 3 month, i had 5000 photos!!!! I have taken my computer to the Genius Bar 3 times and they have tried, but had no luck in fixing this image-duplicating bug. Last month, I painstakingly deleted all of the duplicates manually (as duplicate "finders" only found around 60 duplicates) and then though that they wouldn't duplicate anymore. Now, one wonth later, I have 2496 photos!!!!!!!! These photos are not in iPhoto.

I got a new IMAC a few months ago and loaded some pictures to it. I finally got around to transferring my old emac photos (just copied the library folder onto the desktop). Can I fuse these and retain dated folders, etc. I am guessing that I just slot the folders into the library and start the app?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have lost the use of my Matshita DVD-R UJ-85J. I purchased my computer in 2006, had optical disc drive replaced in 2009 and iafter three years of limited use, the second one will no longer burn discs...I have tried all of the options available on this site....so I think I am going to invest in an external burner, a La Cie. However, would it be possible for me to store some of my music and photos on a zip drive? I have never used them before and wonder if this computer will work with them. My iPhoto is so full and I want to remove some of the pics and store them.
