Every time I use click my mouse, a window pops up saying: Reload page; open in dashboard; open in a new window; download linked file...
How do I get rid of these windows?

Got my Mac back and thought it would be easy to reboot it from time machine, it kinda was but Icant open iPhoto comes up with a small window asking what iPhoto it wants me to open and there is none.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is a weird one, just started this week. I'm on OS 10.9.5.
Whenever I click on the EDIT tab in the toolbar in *multiple* applications: InDesign, Photoshop, MS Word, iTunes, Chrome, the application crashes. Firefox doesn't seem to be effected.
The only activity immediately preceding the issue were 2 software updates to MEMORY CLEAN app which I've since deleted and to Pro Video Formats which I don't *think* I can un-install.

Using OSX 10.9.3 on my iMac. Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. Fairly new iMac, 21.5 inch, Late 2013. Just now, my right click function on my mouse does not work. I have checked my System Preferences and the right click is checked under secondary click. I did uncheck it, exit System Preferences, and then come in again and re-checked it, but that did no good.
I did restart my computer last night before I quit for the day because recently I uninstalled Sophos Anti-Virus because it seemed to be caught in a loop that was not finished "cleaning up" but that is only change I have made. Aside from the Sophos acting wonky there were no other issues with the machine last night.
The right click does not work in all programs, not just Finder. How can I get my right click function to work again?
I'll try and click on a link and nothing, then I click bookmrks in the menu bar, it works, then i can go back and be to click on the link and it'll work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I got there I realized that she was also running windows. I went into the Mac and didn't touch windows. I connected the external hard drive although it was not working so I turned on time machine and tried to use this although didn't have time to set up time capsule so I just cancelled it and shut it. She turned her Mac on this morning and said that windows had completely disappeared! She took it to her local computer store, not an apple store, and was told that because time machine had been turned on and off that windows and the hard drive associated with it had all been wiped!!

i ve got the parallel 5 on the new imac and loaded windows 7 from bootcamp, however the start time of windows 7 is extremely slow -- takes up to 5 minutes.... and the speed of launching application is not fast as well... sometimes even jammed the imac, ive then given them 4 cores with 4gb of ram (out of 8) and still nothing changes...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an iMac 20" since 2008. First of all can I say that I am not a techinical person and therefore I do not understand many technical references or procedures. I came to use my mac today and when I enter my password the screen goes white for a few secinds then returns back to the login screen. After a few attempts you are able to log in, any ideas what could be causing this? I have already tried to reset the SMC (dont know what this is) by turning off, unplugging for 15 seconds, reconnecting and waiting for 5 secinds before swithcing back on.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not able to right click in any method I've tried. I installed the Windows 7 Build 7000 64 iso file. I'm using the unibody aluminum Macbook 2gig. This is my first Mac so please forgive me if I'm being an idiot. I installed the BootCamp64 from the OS X DVD without a problem but since I can't right click I wasn't able to install it as an admin. I also downloaded the newest version from apple directly. I tried following everything in this link : [URL] I can't use the two finger method as that just acts like a single finger. I can't use the control-click option as that does nothing. I've tried Shift-F10 and that does nothing. I even found a program written 3 years ago, [URL] let me do the control-click but I can't get the optino to run anything as an admin so it isn't a fully functional right click. Does anyone have a clue what I've done wrong? Oh and I am able to use a two finger movement on the trackpad to scroll up and down, so that part of the track pad is working after the boot camp64 ran. I'm also able to use all of the function keys.

I know the new time capsule is working because I have a third machine from late 2012 that found the new time capsule easily. Could it be an operating system issue? I am running 10.9 on the machine that is working, 10.8 on the mid 2011 machine, and 10.7 on the mac mini.

I just installed a new SSD. Time Machine is active. It says it is saving data. When you open TM, it opens the times that it saved data except there is noting in the boxes and the button to choose a backup to restore is greyed out, not allowing to choose anything as there isn't anything to choose. The TM says that it has backed upped 350 gb of data. There is nothing there however. I rebooted, disconnected external drive, even reformatted and started over. Nothing seems to work.

I recently bought a1tb USB HDD . When I connect this to my late 2012, 27" 2.9Ghz Mac my Time Machine 2tb USB HDD disappears.
When I remove the 1tb USB HDD the Time Machine repairs. I have checked Finder and Disk Utility and it does not show there either.
How i can stop this from happening?

I tried following the Pondini instructions for restoring individual files but I must be doing something wrong. To restore the address book, he says "open finder window". No problem. Then "enter time machine then navigate to the backup in question". When I open time machine, it only wants to back up. I can't access any files from there. I can only access the files from the backup folder but then there is no "restore" button. How do I restore the address book that I backed up in time machine?

At the moment, when I click Logic the movie/quicktime window disappears behind Logic and I have to squeeze the mouse every time to get it back. I get that you can make the Logic window smaller, and have them side by side, though to have Logic fully open and click around in it whilst the quicktime movie is on top would be great.
To add, is there a way to actually keep any app on top when you click the background of another app?
cut and paste with mouse different text selections at the same time. I have tried many hot keys to select different sentences on different paragraphs at the same time and i couldn't.
