For the last month or so I've been getting pop up messages on my system that I have to update Flash Payer.Â
I click the link, download the installation dmg, double click the installer, 4/5ths of the way through it says it can't complete the operation. (I close all browsers etc. )Â
Google Chrome is running the latest version of Flash as it does it automatically (v14), but Safari and presumably anything else that uses Flash is running v13.

May 20, 2012IS my MAC infected with something or is this normal? I always click the red X to close the window. It just pops up once in a while. It's my understanding that it would not be wise to install flash player, so i havent. But why is there an update window that keeps popping up?

May 27, 2012I have a MAC OSX 10.5.8, after the recent software update my flash player no longer works.I have read that there is a problem with security for the version of flash that I was using and this is the reason it was disabled. However, I have tried to download the most recent version from the Adobe website, but nothing happens and a message says I already have flash installed on my computer.Â
I have a version of flash in my HD>>Library>>Internet plug-ins, and there is also one in HD>>Library>>Internet plug-ins (Disabled) which I have tried to move but it only lets you copy it and it seems unable to be moved back to HD>>Library>>Plug-ins I have also tried to download the "No Script" addon for Firefox so that I can at least have flash working in Firefox, but that doesn't seem to be downloading either. I cannot now watch videos, listen to my favourite radio stations or even upload pics to ebay to create ebay listings. This problem ruining my internet enjoyment and I just hope that it can be fixed again. How dare Apple just do this without any warning or giving any info on how to easily fix this problem once flash has been disabled.

Aug 30, 2014About a week ago, we accidentally installed what we think is a bad version of a flash player when attempting to register a rewards card. We un-installed the software as soon as we realized it was not the correct website for the rewards card. Since then, we are getting a flashing pop-up ad in the right column of the browser as well as a video window that pops-up from left bottom of browser and then multiple windows in Safari will just open.

May 15, 2012I received an update request for a new version of the Adobe Flash player this morning. I accepted it and the installation seemed to work fine. The only special was that the last 5% of the installation took some minutes to install.
Minutes later the system (MAC OS Lion) sent a warning that my startup disk is nearly full. The disk had about 150GB free disk space. When I checked it with the finder my disk space was about 350 MB and declining. I disconnected the MacBook from the internet and the the declining of the available disk size stopped.Â
If I check the disk information (using the finder) of the harddrive and it showed only 350MB as free. If I check the size of the folders on the top layer and add them together I should still have about 150GB of free disk space.Â

Aug 20, 2014Every time I attempt to watch a video or Netflix, my player won't work and tell me to download the new version. I do so, and restart the browser and they tell me the same thing. I have tried deleting the old versions and emptying the trash, I have tried restarting my computer, I have no firewall up. Nothing will make them work.

May 17, 2012I uninstalled FP a few weeks ago because it was crashing Safari 5.0.6 on a regular basis. This morning, I ran the flashback security update sent out by apple a couple of days ago. I decided to see if that update might reduce the flash crashes with Safari + Flash Player, so I have been trying for hours to install FP 10.3. I go to the correct Adobe page and follow the instructions. Nothing happens. The tiny spinning wheel in the internet address line does not stop spinning, even after 30 minutes. I have thoroughly reviewed the adobe pages dealing with installation problems to no avail. Â

Jun 10, 2012I recently had to get a new iPhone because my last one died. I've purchased all of my music through iTunes and got the majority of the songs back on my phone. About 50 songs won't transfer back though. I tried drag and dropping and checking the sync music button and re-syncing my phone and nothing has worked. All the songs are downloaded and in iTunes, but nothing is working. Does anyone know why they won't transfer?
